May I ask where or how the ship name Flammkuchen was born? I love it and it makes total sense! 😱❤️❤️❤️

Hi, sure!

The idea of giving this wonderful ship the name "Flammkuchen" originated in the lovely brain of @wizzardclown and in my eyes, it's one of the most brilliant and fitting shipnames ever 👌🏼 Here's the post with the first use of it.

Often used toppings for Flammkuchen, which is rather popular in the part of Germany I live in, are bacon (in german "Speck", fitting for Richard's wonderful thickness) and leek (in german "Lauch", perfect for Olli's enourmous hight). And I guess the crème fraîche is the love which holds them together 😌

Tough guys make tough music — and love flowers! The guys from Rammstein even remixed a song for the flagship girlie from Hamburg. Otherwise, the brute rockers have little fear of contact with the pop world, after all it all started with Modern Talking’s “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul”: Paul Landers and Christian ‘Flake’ Lorenz played this popular hit and other pop gems as teenagers in a bar music band and performed in restaurants. This is where Flakes’ big wish comes from: “I would like it best if the audience would sit and eat during our show. Yes, that would be great!”

Band founder was Richard Kruspe, who attracted his buddies every Monday with his minced meat breakfast, who all got to know each other in a very strange way: Flake and Paul in this same bar music band. Christoph Schneider was drunk under the table at a party, Flake accidentally stepped on his hand, Schneider turned into an animal, he was so upset. They liked it, they became great friends. Singer Till Lindemann made his living as a basket weaver and impressed the boys with his singing while the radio was playing. Oliver Riedel got his engagement in his sleep: he had the rehearsal room next to Rammstein with his band “Inchtabokatables”, lay down there to sleep after a night of drinking, was found by the others there the next morning and accepted into the circle.

Truth or lies, that’s not the question here, you’re glad when the Berliners talk to you at all. Rammstein are of the same opinion: “Till doesn’t talk to us either. In the tour bus he sleeps or just twirls a strand of hair and doesn’t say a peep!” complains Paul. But he is all the more eloquent on stage, his voice really knocks everyone out. If you are going to admire the “Stein” on their September tour with their new album “Sehnsucht” and the current single “Du hast” in your luggage, don’t be surprised if not a single word is spoken to the audience — according to the band, “mute” concerts are the best!
