sam winchester is just absolutely amazing to me. he never ceases to inspire me

i think it’s so incredible and uplifting that, after how much sam’s been through—throughout the course of his life as a whole, and specifically recently, in the last few months alone—a relatively everyday, regular thing like theatre still makes him genuinely happy and excited, and he gets so much genuine and simple joy from something tiny like messing with the stage lighting control switch, and from getting to be “involved,” however minorly, in a thing it turns out he really liked when he was younger

sam is so resilient and so in touch with himself and so genuinely open to the world in both big and small-but-meaningful ways, despite the avalanche of misfortune he’s experienced

he’s so kind and good and strong, so strong it’s remarkable and amazing

and look at him, he still loves (relatively) little things like theatre with enough of himself to let that joy shine through and grin with dimples and make jokes and be fucking adorable as heck, even after his life has eaten at him and worn him down and thrown him every possible curveball and then some

he can find that rare simple joy in his life and more than that, he lets himself feel it no matter what, even if it comes from something considered “silly” or whatever 

i didn’t know it was possible for me to love sam winchester more than i already did but spn200 did it
