It’s really been a while...

Just a little update life.

I have one semester left of senior year... of high school! It’s pretty crazy but I’m very excited. That being said I have finished college apps and I did so many. 17 to be exact but about 5 don’t count. I applied early to Yale University but got deferred. It hurt for a while but what else can you do but move on? I can’t wait to move on to something bigger, but I will enjoy the simplicity I have in life now while I have it.

we never talk about the painful side of studying in the studyblr community

the part that leaves you at your desk at midnight with a raging headache. the part that leaves you pulling your hair out while trying to finish a topic. the part that leaves your mind aching from having to cram as much material into it. the part that leaves your heart hurting from all the pressure you’re putting on yourself. 

learning is a joy, i love it and i know how blessed i am to receive all these opportunities at such a young age. but god damn i am so exhausted.

the beef between STEM and arts + humanities is so tired. science and art are the same. sister subjects. they’ve fueled one another for years. one cannot exist without the other. they’re both made of the same kind of wonder, one tries to attain long sought after things in reality, and the other impliments the stuff of dreams. logic and emotionality. they’re both exercises of imagination. it’s all just beautiful, academic sludge.
