Code: Realize- Impey Barbicane Review
Yes, everyone’s favorite genius engineer, Impey Barbicane is Bachelor #4
And the final guy I had to do so I could unlock Lupin.
The first part of this review it gonna be spoiler free and then I will add all my spoiler fangirling under a read more.
Now I did not save Impey for last for any real reason. I honestly was tempted to do him after Van but was impatient about Victor’s past. Trust me it was a hard choice cause who doesn’t like Showtarou Morikubo’s adorable, dorky acting coming from an energetic redhead? It mostly stemmed from Impey not having as much mystery around him as the other three so I felt I could save him for last. (Also I need something calmer after Saint G)
So here we go!
Impey is pretty straight forward. He’s a flirt, he’s adorable and everyone loves to pick on him. However, despite the amount of explosions he causes he’s quite the genius engineer, and when it comes down to it the others trust him to do what he does best. His role with the Heroine is to teach her about, you guessed it, machines. He teaches her about his gadgets that she can operate on their missions and also how to drive a car and run the airship with him. It’s quite precious how she becomes his co-pilot in all honesty.
The thing about Impey is he’s so straightforward even the surprises in his route aren’t all too shocking which can be good or bad. Granted all those emotional, cuddly, cheesy line moments you missed in the other routes are almost overabundant in Impey’s route which makes him a very large contrast from everyone, even Victor.
Honestly while it wasn’t my favorite route, Impey was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dark and intense game for the last half. I found myself laughing a lot and even his cheesy lines started to work on me. He and Cardia makes a good “Team” much like Cardia and Victor did where the couple becomes a dynamic duo that is pretty equal in their capabilities. One of my favorite aspects of Impey is how he is always telling Cardia how impressed he is with her when she goes into badass heroine mode. It’s the sweetest thing.
Overall Impey gets a solid 7/10
His route is straightforward and fun with a bit of drama added in though he has a super sad bad end near the end that made me cry and wish I didn’t do it. Morikubo is so fun as Impey and while I am more partial to the drama and desperation of Van Helsing and Saint-Germain I found Impey to be a good option for a love interest. He has a very different flow from the others so he adds an even bigger variety to the type of story you want in this game.
And as always there are some spoiler bits under the cut. Don’t read unless you don’t care about being spoiled.

Code: Realize- Saint-Germain Review
OH BOY HERE WE GO!
The Mysterious count who always smiles, Count Saint-Germain, is our Bachelor #3
The first part of this review it gonna be spoiler free and then I will add all my spoiler fangirling under a read more.
Oh man where do I even start? This route and character pretty much TKO’d me.
First and foremost shoutout to Daisuke Hirakawa for this AMAZING performance. Good sir you continue to slay.
Now then Saint-G here is the ever smiling benefactor and owner of our scooby gangs illustrious hideout. He also seems to have an air of mystery and is not above being devilish in teasing and such. He’s always calm and composed and seems to have a fountain of knowledge. First you assume he’s just a very odd noble with a need to be amused and he plays that very well but as the story progresses he begins to show he is a very deep man with strong beliefs.
He teaches Cardia about London in general, giving her tours of the city so she can better use it to her advantage in case of necessary escapes and he’s generally there to lend an ear. Certain acts lead you to believe he has a very kind heart but as we near the route breakoff we see a side of him that’s equal parts terrifying and intriguing.
In every route there is an air of mystery about him but once his route takes off we get pulled into something very dark and much larger than most of the other routes. This isn’t simply a London issue but a world issue with Saint G at the center.
Over the course of several chapters you watch this character change from a calm and composed gentleman, to a deadly assassin, and finally a desperate man who would fight fate itself for the one he loves. Honestly that alone screams BEST BOY for me.
Not only is the entire story around Saint-Germain interesting and introduces so much into the grand scale of the plot but the emotional beating that the romance puts you through is nothing short of amazing. Hirarin’s delivery and emotion left me in tears. Everything about it screamed star-crossed lovers and the desperation and the passion in it cannot be adequately described by a poor fangirl on the internet. Play it. Play this game. Play this route. WEEP WITH ME.
No surprise from me this route gets a 10/10
While this emotionally destructive love story of star crossed lovers, myths, legends and fate may not hit people’s interests it was everything I could want in this game.
Now for fangirling which is me spoiling all the best scenes because they are beautiful. See under the cut.

Code: Realize- Victor Frankenstein Review
On to Victor Frankenstein as Bachelor #2
also known as Cinnamon Roll Husband
The first part of this review it gonna be spoiler free and then I will add all my spoiler fangirling under a read more.
Now Victor or as everyone calls him Fran, is precious. I’m just gonna say that now. From the second I saw him I was overwhelmed with this boy’s Moe adorableness. Good lord boy, take it down a notch.
He’s truly too good for this world. Too Pure.
Fran here shows up once you reach London and the only knowledge our poor MC has of him is he’s apparently a vicious terrorist based off wanted posters around town. Right? Right?! Totes looks the part. Anyways our darling boy saves Cardia and gets adopted into the Lupin gang with the promise he will help Cardia solve her poison issue cause he’s an alchemist and a doctor. So naturally when it comes time to adding to Cardia’s life skills he helps her handle some smoke and flash bombs he makes in test tubes and also basic first aid.
While he is a bundle of good will and smiles throughout the course of the main common route we see glimpses into Fran’s past and a terrible event he witnessed for which he blames himself for. Also he’s generally the one who has the most hands on insight into Cardia’s condition which makes for fun times as we break off into his solo route. While he’s a sweety he thinks of himself as weaker than the others and also a coward. All of which I say are LIES!
Honestly the route is full of precious adorableness and I felt the balance between their capabilities as a pair was equal. Fran is a scientist and not very athletic thus gets tired easy while Cardia does not at all. Merge their two fighting abilities and the way they emotionally support each other and damn you got yourself a really sweet couple of mutual respect and love. No lie.
His route goes deeper into the British government and mostly around Queen Victoria which I found very interesting all on it’s own. The Queen is an interesting character that leaves you unsure how to view her at the end. It’s a neat contrast to Victor who believes himself a coward yet it’s mostly due to his kindheartedness that is almost a crime, and the Queen who will do anything for “The greater good of Britain”.
Overall I say Victor is a solid 8/10
He didn’t have too many over dramatized moments and felt both exciting and adorable right till the end. I wasn’t crying though I got really worried a few times.
Now for the fangirling below the cut. Spoilers abound.

Code: Realize- Van Helsing Review
So here we are looking at this glorious Steam Punk drama Otome game and first up is Abraham Van Helsing: Bachelor #1
The first part of this review it gonna be spoiler free and then I will add all my spoiler fangirling for under a read more.
So I went into this game dead set on doing Van first. I love Suwabe and he visually hit my high marks: Stoic Megane.
Van is the last bachelor to join our merry ragtag band of dweebs but man does he know how to make an entrance. I hadn’t even seen the guy before you hear him shooting up a place and being a general badass. The heart pounding entrance and stand off aside he becomes an essential member of the crew since he’s the resident badass he kinda takes on most of the baddies in order for the others to escape or carry out their plans. He also teaches our darling protagonist Cardia how to fight and he does not do so condescendingly. Sure he assumes she’s a normal girl and therefore helps her play to her strengths but adjusts as he sees her abilities. He has no doubt she can take on some general soldiers and defend herself and it’s true in all the routes. He taught her well.
Then his story takes a very dark turn and we start to see how our vampire war hero is actually a very broken man riddled with guilt and a very bad streak of vengeance. Honestly the common route snippets about him really intrigued me and I found myself feeling for Cardia and she sought to understand this man who pushed everyone away while wearing a sad expression. Now Van isn’t all downers cause the man has a love for cooking (Even though he’s bad at it) and a need to poke fun at Impey. He’s a tsundere in the best ways, taking care and saving his friends all while reminding them he’s just with them for the convenience of his own goals, it’s not like he enjoys their company or anything.
Getting into his route was an intense rollercoaster filled with dark and mysterious villains and an emotional backstory reveal that gave me chills. Srsly Suwabe can really let out some great agonized screaming. Top that off with some life and death ultimatums and the power of love and you got yourself an amazing tragic romance. By the end of it I was left in shock and crying until that one cranky comment from him made it all okay.
Overall his story was a solid 9/10
So for those of you who want my fangirling over the nitty gritty spoiler-ific story see under the cut. Also just FYI I am BIASED AS ALL HELL ABOUT HIM.

Richelieu: Route Synopsis Part 5 [END]
So back at D'Artagnan's room she's looking after Richelieu. Milady comes to ask him how he's doing. Despite their earlier issues Milady truly does feel happy that D'Artagnan can be there for Richelieu. Apparently he hasn't let go of her hand whenever she's beside him. Milady says she is happy they are in a loving relationship and that D'Artagnan is finally experiencing her first love.
In the forest Treville is speaking to one of his demons. Since they can't find D'Artagnan anywhere else she must be in the dorm but the demon reports that there is a barricade around it and they can't get in. Treville mutters something about Constantine who apparently is the source of the barricade.Since he can't get to her directly he decides he'll go another route. He makes flyers to the students saying he'll let them all go if they hand D'Artagnan over. Sending his demons off to spread the flyers he laughs to himself. Treville says humans are selfish and will surely give her up and he wants her to know what betrayal feels like.
At the dorm Patrick is checking to make sure the barricade his holding when Rocinante comes to ask how it's going. They're both relieved the demons can't seem to get in but Rocinante gets scared when he hears the door and hides behind Patrick, but it's only Milady. She's a bit offended they both seemed startled by her since she's a lovely lady and all. Suddenly a student runs up and shows Milady the flyer that is being passed around the dorm.
Back at D'Artagnan's room she come sin to see Richelieu waking up. He's confused at first but then relaizes what happened and tries to sit up. She insists that he lay down but he's stubborn and says he'll be fine. Of course D'Artagnan argues and says he was very badly wounded and hasn't had proper time to heal and they he passed out from his wounds. He asks her how he got there and she said she had carried him and they've been stuck in the dorm ever since due to Treville. Richelieu is startled and ends up hurting his wounds and falls back on the bed, however, he wants to do something immediately. D'Artagnan tells him he needs to rest and when he tries to protest again she tells him she doesn't want him to get hurt. Injured like this he'll surely die at the hands of Treville. He finally relents and relaxes. She asks him if she can get him anything and he just asks her to stay beside him.
At the dorm the students are in an uproar. Milady tries to get them all to calm down with the help of Planche and Constantine. At that moment D'Artagnan comes in, wondering what's going on. Milady doesn't want D'Artagnan to know about the flyers and tries to make sure the students don't tell her. Milady passes off the commotion as nothing and excuses herself, most likely to make sure all the students get the memo. Planche and Constantine talk with D'Artagnan saying nothing is wrong but Bonacieux busts in and blabs the whole mess to her anyways. The other two get mad at him but he tells them D'Artagnan would just find out anyways.
Naturally some of the students blame D'Artagnan for this mess and think she should leave so they aren't ragged into any more trouble. D'Artagnan of course feels bad and wonders if she should give herself up, a statement that both Planche and Constantine freak out over. They both don't want her to sacrifice herself and it's not her fault but Treville's. Bonacieux also thinks it's pointless since she's shown courage so many times it'd be pathetic if they couldn't also show the same courage and protect her. His words surprise everyone and Constantine convinces the students to also help protect D'Artagnan and the school and fight against the demons. They all draw their swords and swear to fight and this gives D'Artagnan hope. The school Richelieu built is now protecting her and it makes her happy.
In D'Artganan's room someone knocks on the door and Richelieu assumes it's D'Artagnan, until Milady walks in. She came to check on him.She wants him to hurry up and get better. He asks her why she didn't turn on him since he sort of rejected her but she tells him no hard feelings and afterall she's a teacher and her duty is to protect the school. Also she's happy for D'Artagnan from the bottom of her heart. Richelieu wants to save D'Artagnan from her fate and Milady tells him that he needn't worry. She's not so fragile and she wants to protect this school he loves so he shouldn't shoulder the burden alone.
She then tells him about Treville's latest scheme to get the students to turn on her though. For now things seem under control but there's no telling what he might do so they need to be on guard.
That evening D'Artagnan is making a cake for Richelieu when Milady finds her. Milady asks What D'Artagnan is doing and then subtly says that Richelieu has a sweet tooth so D'Artagnan needs to have a lot of chocolate. When Milady examines the cake she comments that there is not enough so they add a lot more. She says that eating something sweet will be sure to cheer up Richelieu. After D'Artagnan leaves Milady chuckles to herself how cute she is and then reveals she was lying and Richelieu doesn't like sweet things but wonders what he'll do.
When D'Artagnan goes to see Richelieu with the cake he greets her looking much better than usual. They talk a bit when he notices the cake and the amount of chocolate on it. D'Artagnan says Milady told her he has a sweet tooth so she was sure to put a lot of Chocolate on it. Richelieu sighs to himself but doesn't let D'Artagnan know. He's looking at the soup and other things she brought but she's curious if he likes the cake so she stares at him. He finally puts on a smile and eats the cake.
Once they finish eating Richelieu asks D'Artagnan how she truly feels about him. She tells him it's hard to say since so much has happened because of her. Many people have died because of her and now the Academy is in trouble so she feels she doesn't have time to think of romance.
Later that night D'Artagnan is in the common room thinking to herself when Planche comes in. They talk about the current issue and Planche comments how she wishes Aramis was still alive. If she'd known this would happen she'd of confessed long ago. She also says her love for Aramis gives her strength cause she remembers all the times just being near him made her happy. This makes D'Artagnan realize she doesn't have time to hesitate. They could all die at any time and she doesn't want to regret anything. She hurries back to Richelieu's room but finds him gone. Panicked she races out to find him, searching everywhere.
Meanwhile Richelieu is walking out in the snow, wondering what to do. He wants to be able to save everyone. Thanks to D'Artagnan looking after him he's better but he can't stay like this. He needs to get the diamond necklace before Treville does. He suddenly thinks back to when Rochefort died, using his last moments to tell Richelieu Treville's plans. He doesn't want Rochefort's death to be in vain.
Suddenly the door opens and Richelieu is startled, asking who it is but it's just D'Artagnan. They talk and Richelieu says it's only a matter of time before Treville breaks through. He and his demons will get them. D'Artagnan says she will go to Treville tomorrow to end this but before that she has something she wants to say. She finally tells Richelieu how she feels, that she loves him. Despite the hatred she had in her heart towards him at times she always came to the church to look for him. She asks him if saying this is alright and Richelieu suddenly hugs her.
"Of course it is." he says he's been wishing to hear these words, praying and dreaming of them. He tells her he loves her too and he doesn't need anything else now.
When they part D'Artagnan asks Richelieu what he likes about her. He tells her she makes him feel at peace. When she's near him he feels calm. Then he asks her what she likes about him. D'Artagnan answers that she loves his confidence. He laughs at this, wondering if that's a good or bad thing. He teases her a little but D'Artagnan explains that even though he's done bad things, killing the Musketeers and Rochefort she is not afraid of him. Richelieu knows what he's done is bad and he's let darkness and hate consume him, recalling Anne's betrayal and this mess with the demons. He asks if D'Artagnan is prepared for such darkness. She ells him she is prepared to drown her soul in darkness to be with him and asks him to take her with him wherever he goes.
They sit together in the chapel and fall asleep for a while. Richelieu wakes up before her and says he wanted to spend a little longer with her. Despite being a demon she's given him her love and he wants to treasure it and protect her. Letting her sleep he whispers for her to escape the island and kisses her before leaving. He runs into Milady and he tells her D'Artagnan was in the chapel and to take care of her. Milady is about to stop him since she knows he's going to his death but stops herself and just wishes him well. He thanks her and leaves for the tower.
D'Artagnan wakes up alone, Richelieu's words to her last night vaguely in her mind. When she realizes Richelieu is gone she begins to panic then remembers him speaking to her this morning while she was asleep. Understanding he's probably gone off on his own to fight Treville she hears the door to the chapel open. it's milady who has come to take her back to the dorms for her own safety. D'Artagnan asks Milady if she knows where Richelieu is and Milady reveals that Richelieu is going to face Treville in order for the students and her to escape. D'Artagnan tries to go after him but Milady stops her. She asks D'Artagnan if she thinks it would make Richelieu happy for her to rush to her death after him? Richelieu is trying to do all he can to protect her and the students so she needs to honor that and stay safe.
At the tower Richelieu activates the jewel that opens up the catacombs. He goes down to the deepest level where a coffin rests. When he opens it he's surprised when he hears Treville say, "It's the woman who died for you 300 years ago. Constance." Richelieu turns to find the man and Treville says he hadn't expect him to survive their last battle. Richelieu laughs and says he's survived for 300 years so he won't die so easily. Treville draws his sword saying his survival before doesn't matter since he's going to kill him and take him to hell now.
At the school Milady is gather the students up because they are going to escape from the island. The demons have left the school so they are free to leave. Planche notices D'Artagnan seems a bit off as Rocinante helps to organize the students to leave. They all head for the beach with Rocinante and Patrick in the lead. As they begin to cross the ocean D'Artagnan remembers all that has happened, all those who helped her and got hurt or died because of her. She can't take it and sneaks out of line and runs back to the school. Milady sees her and tries to call out to her but she knows there's no point. She can't leave Richelieu and Milady asks Richelieu to forgive her for letting D'Artagnan go to him.
Going to the tower D'Artagnan searches around until she uncovers the catacomb entrance. In the lowest level Treville, in demon form, is fighting Richelieu and winning. D'Artagnan runs in calling out for Richelieu and when he sees her he asks her why she came. Treville says it's fate that brought her here. She is the key to the tower that Castlemore stole it's only natural she would return. Richelieu tells D'Artagnan to hurry up and flee as Treville goes on about fate. D'Artagnan says he's wrong. She came here of her own accord to see Richelieu defeat him. She looks at Richelieu and says if he's a good man he needs to win and protect her. This makes him smile and despite his injuries Richelieu gets to his feet remembering his own words to D'Artagnan about what a good man is. He has to keep going to protect the woman he loves. He changes into his demon form.
Richelieu is ready to face Treville but Treville thinks this change is still futile. Treville is originally a demon after all while Richelieu and the others were turned into demons. His power far exceeds Richelieu and no matter how many time Richelieu uses his lightning it has no effect on Treville. Treville tells him that he now plans to slowly kill Richelieu in front of D'Artagnan and make him suffer more. The battle rages on and despite being in his demon form Richelieu is still losing badly. Treville keeps saying he needs to suffer more, feel more pain and wants D'Artagnan to see. As they fought Richelieu starts to notice Treville is protecting the coffin with Constance in it. Asking for her forgiveness he tries to attack the coffin with his lightning. it works and Treville screams. Richelieu continues to attack the coffin finally defeating Treville and sending him back to hell.
Once Treville is defeated the catacombs begin to collapses so Richelieu and D'Artagnan hurry out of there. With Treville defeated the seal on the tower is broken so using D'Artagnan's sword they open it to find the necklace. At long last they've found it and D'Artagnan comments that many people fought and died for this. Richelieu says that's true and then asks her to make a wish. Thinking a moment D'Artagnan says she wants a future with Richelieu. He laughs and says she's cute and then pulls her close saying he wants to be with her forever too and kisses her.
Holding the necklace between them and with both their wishes in their hearts a white light envelopes them.
When D'Artagnan awakes she hears a voice calling out to her and to her surprise wakes up to find herself not only in her old house but with Castlemore there as well. He says she can't keep sleeping away or she'll be late for her first day at the Academy. She's still surprised, wondering if it had all been a dream. Getting ready she takes a carriage to the school when the driver asks her to deliver a letter to the principle for him. As she's heading to school she bumps into Aramis who flirts with her the same way he did originally on her first day. She says Aramis' name and he's surprised she knows who he is but she only says she's glad he's alive and hurries off. It seems like everything they wished for came true. At school She sees the rest of the students are alive even Louis and Anne are there as well. All the Musketeers are alive too getting ready for the opening ceremony. Even more surprising is Treville is here teaching class like usual.
Like before Rochefort tries to kick D'Artagnan out of the principle's office when she enters but Richelieu stops him and excuses Rochefort. Finally alone Richelieu says he's been waiting for her. He reveals that though her wish was for them to be together in the future he wishes for her happiness and so they came back to this moment where everyone is alive and happy. He says that if she decides to stay with him there will still be tough times. He then asks if she's okay with that. D'Artagnan of course says she doesn't care what trials they face because she wants to be with him, the man she loves. He tells her he likes her choice since it's a good one. And roll credits.
Epilogue:
It's been five years, D'Artagnan has graduated and is now married to Richelieu. They're both at the chapel and Richelieu tells her she needs to stop calling him Principle and use his name. She says it's habit but he insists she uses his name. They're going to be leaving Chevalier island tomorrow to start their life together. They talk about the night they met here in the chapel under their secret names "Apollo" and "Selene". Back then they never could have guessed they'd end up together and married. He pulls her close and asks if she's happy. D'Artagnan responds with why he wouldn't think she'd be happy. He laughs and says that she should be happy at his side and even happier since she's now pregnant. They'll have lots of happiness awaiting them from now on.
D'Artagnan says he needs to help come up with a name for their child and the happy couple think on it together.
End.

Is there a specific section of the sidebar coding where I can put in the URL?
I just put it underneath my little blog blurb. The text box that lets you write your blog greeting/description. You can add pretty much as many banners as you want.

Note
how did you add those banners?
Many game sites have their promotional banners you can use (Banner campaign or in the extras sections). Several may have some HTML code under the banner images you copy and paste into your sidebar. Sometimes you have to manually do the code. To learn how to do that just look up HTML code for turning pictures into links. If you need a more thorough walk through let me know and I'll try to give a more detailed explanation.

Richelieu: Route Synopsis Part 4
So D'Artagnan's head is full of Richelieu and while walking back to the dorm she runs into Aramis. He says he wants to talk to her for a bit. She's hesitant but Aramis says he has information about her father's murder. Naturally she's not sure if he means it but he tells her it's important and he's being secretive enough to make her think he's telling the truth. He tells her to meet him, alone, at the greenhouse, La Voliere. She absolutely must come. Aramis leaves and D'Artagnan wonders if she should go.
Treville was watching them from afar and came over to her, asking what happened. Since she's trusted Treville with everything so far she tells him what Aramis said since she doesn't trust the Musketeers right now.She ask him what she should and Treville asks if she's scared. She tells him she's not sure if she can trust Aramis and so Treville says he'll go in her stead. She's worried but he tells her not to worry and that even if Aramis can change into a demon he can handle it. It's better for him to go instead of her. He tells her he'll tell her if he finds out anything new an then leaves. However, D'Artagnan has a bad feeling for some reason.
Treville meets with Aramis, though he's not sure why she didn't come on her own. he had information to tell her about her father though Treville wants to know what Aramis is doing since he's supposed to technically be working for Richelieu. Though Aramis just laughs and says he's not relaly on anyone's side.
Later that evening the hooded man enters Richelieu's office. He tells Richelieu he knows the truth about the key to Buckingham Tower. Richelieu is pleased but the hooded man says nothing is free though and in return for the information Richelieu needs to offer up the life of Anne's pawns, the Musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis. They're working for Anne like they had 300 years ago so doing this is killing two birds with one stone. Not a bad deal. Richelieu agrees and says he'll have Rochefort dispatch them quickly. The Hooded man says there's one more thing, Richelieu should kill Aramis first. When Richelieu asks why the hooded man says Aramis has most of the information that would be bad if anyone else were to find out.
Richelieu was on his way to the church that night in his true form and remembering the day Constance died. He reminds himself he can't stop with his plans and that he'll beat Anne at her own game. when he heads inside the church he hears the voices of the tortured souls crying out for Anne's death. he also thinks back to what the hooded man told him and steels himself to carry out what he must. He hears footsteps and changes to his older form, however it's just D'Artagnan come to visit him.
As she talks he finally speaks to her and says they should stop seeing each other. She's confused because she doesn't know why and he asks if she really doesn't get it. He's just been using her this whole time to find out about the key. However, she keeps saying she doesn't know so he's switching methods. D'Artagnan is shocked and asks if that's true or if he's just joking again but he suddenly excuses himself and leaves the church. Back outside he's in his true form and thinks that she looked like she was going to cry. He didn't want to do that but he had to since she'd be sad if she found out about his plans and he can't stop now. So he decide to be cruel to her to push her away from him.
Meanwhile in the greenhouse Rochefort attacks and kills Aramis while they are both in demon form. His deon body is found by Rocinante the next morning who is shocked since it's rather gruesome and bloody. When they remove the body from the greenhouse though it changes back to Aramis' human form and they realize it's him. Rocinante is really disturbed by all this demon business and doesn't know what's going on but milady berates him.
At school Treville greets D'Artagnan and tells her she should go to the headmaster's office. When she arrives she remembers what Richelieu told her the previous night, wondering if he's really meant it. he tells her he called her here to ask about the key. He tells her he knows she has the key but D'Artagnan says she doesn't remember anything about any key. He tells her if she doesn't remember something then he'll kill the Musketeers. He then shows her Aramis' bloody ring and says he was already killed last night by Rochefort. Distraught she tells him she really doesn't know anything and she doesn't understand why he's doing this.
Richelieu doesn't stop there, telling her that Porthos is next. Suddenly D'Artagnan draws her sword and Richelieu asks her what she plans to do with it, is she planning to fight him? She points it at herself though and says she'll kill herself. If she dies then there's no need to kill the Musketeers. He tells her to stop and smacks the sword from her hands and grabs her. He says he will find out where the key is and he's not going to let her do something stupid like kill herself. He calls Rochefort and has him put D'Artagnan in prison. D'Artagnan starts to struggle, screaming that she doesn't know anything and to stop this but Rochefort punches her in the stomach and knocks her out. she can hear Richelieu speaking with Rochefort right before she loses consciousness.
In the lounge, Planche and Constantine are talking when some girls run over to Planche asking if they've seen Aramis. When they act confused the girls say they heard that Aramis was found dead in La Voliere and on top of that he was apparently a demon. Planche drops her glass, shocked by this and the other students start chatting if that's true or not. Everyone thinks there's no way it can be true. Aramis was a human who was protecting them from demons. Constantine asks the girls where they heard this and they say from Rocinante-sensei. Planche is in shock, unable to believe it and Constantine tries to console her.
Porthos was also in the room and is also shocked, telling himself it can't be true. Distraught he leaves the lounge. However he's caught by Rochefort in the student council room. They are both fighting as demon but Porthos is no match. He's found by Rocinante who only realizes it's Porthos when he takes off his mask, since he's still in demon form.
At the Prison D'Artagnan is worried about the Musketeers and asks about them when Patrick comes by her cell. she's hoping that Richelieu lies about Aramis and he's still alive but Patrick tells her both Aramis and Porthos are dead. They were labeled as Demons against the academy and so Rochefort killed them to protect the school. D'Artagnan is beside herself with grief. This is not helped by Richelieu when he comes to visit. Desperate, D'Artagnan tells him she's not hiding anything from him, really. She doesn't know about a key, hr father never told her anything nor gave her anything. She pleads with him to believe her and starts to cry but Richelieu says he will continue with his plan until she remembers about the key and says Athos is next. She begs him not to and he says Athos will die because of her and then leaves while D'Artagnan screams.
The next day Athos faced Rochefort at the tower and died. They fought in their human forms though. Rochefort, having finished his work hopes this will be the last thing they need to find the key. The Opportunity Day is approaching and they can't let Anne escape.
Richelieu comes to the prison to inform D'Artagnan about Athos' death. This causes he to start screaming and crying again and she begins to start grabbing at the bars, lashing out at Richelieu. She doesn't understand him anymore and then asks if he was the one behind her father's murder. When he doesn't deny it she only gets more angry and starts screaming at him more, saying she was foolish to ever believe in him or think he was a good person. She calls at him, calling him a liar as he leaves but Rochefort shows up and starts to beat her for her insolence. He tells her that if anything she should blame her father for putting her in this position. Someone like her can't understand Richelieu's goals and she tells him he's right, she doesn't understand and she doesn't want to.
That evening the hooded man arrives at Richelieu's office. Now that the deed is done and the Musketeers are dead he can tell him about the key. It's D'artagnan. By piercing her heart and coating his sword in her blood he can open the tower. When Richelieu is silent upon hearing this the hooded man laughs and congratulates him. He got rid of the Msuketeers working for Anne that were in his way and he has D'Artagnan locked up and safe. His plans are proceeding very smoothly. Richelieu is still silent and the hooded man laughs again before excusing himself. When Richelieu is alone it's clear he's upset over this turn of events.
That night he goes to the tower alone. He once again thinks back to when he found out that Anne gave the necklace to the Duke of Buckingham an betrayed France and also when the hooded man told him about D'Artagnan being the key. He also is still hearing the voices of the spirits. He asks himself why, why is he hesitating. He does't understand why he has to kill D'Artagnan for this. The one thing he needs to finally get revenge on Anne and he can't do it. He remembers back to when D'Artagnan was screaming at him. He had no problem killing the Musketeers and making her hate him but he can't bring himself to kill her. The revenge he's sought for 300 years is falling apart because of her.
Richelieu decides he can't kill D'Artagnan so he decides to go about things differently. He thinks back to when he confessed to her in the Observatory and then makes a decision. He'll find Anne and get his revenge without the necklace.
Meanwhile Anne and Louis are alone in their usual spot. Anne can't believe the Musketeers have been killed.
Rochefort goes to Richelieu's office and is told that the key to Buckingham Tower no longer exists. Rochefort is shocked but Richelieu says they will have to go about their plans differently now. He tells Rochefort the new plan, that they'll search the island for Anne and he should have Milady try and gather information about Anne's whereabouts. Also they will let D'Artagnan out of the prison to try and draw Anne out as well. Rochefort questions if this will work since Anne didn't come to D'Artagnan before but Richelieu passes it off as a possibility that will change this time. Anne doesn't know the key is gone so she may go to D'Artagnan for it. Before Rochefort leaves Richelieu hands Rochefort D'Artagnan's sword and tells him to give it back to her.
As Rochefort leaves he wonders if the key is really gone but thinking back over the conversation with Richelieu he realizes that the key may be D'Artagnan and that Richelieu clearly has feelings for her thus why he aid the key was gone. Regardless of this revelation he will carry out Richelieu's orders.
Richelieu holds an assembly to address the students about the demons and to formally announce that the Musketeers were demons and enemies of the school.
At the prison Rochefort goes to release D'Artagnan. He tells her that she is being released and gives her back her sword. D'Artagnan is confused and also bitter over everything but takes her sword. She attacks Rochefort who easily dodges her attack. she falls and then gets up and attacks him again but he just dodges once more. He tells her to stop an asks her why she's doing this. She hasn't been eating since she's been in prison so has no way of fighting him. He tells her that Richelieu has decided to give her her freedom so she should appreciate it. She starts screaming about how she can't forgive Richelieu for what he's done. However he grabs tells her she's the same as Richelieu. She came to the Academy seeking revenge as well so she's got no business judging Richelieu. He's carried this burden for 300 years and is not only getting revenge for himself but everyone who died because of Anne.
Back at the school the hooded man goes to visit Richelieu. He heard that D'Artagnan was released from the prison. D'Artagnan is the key and yet he's letting her go. Richelieu says he knows D'Artagnan is the key and without her no one can reach the necklace so it's good enough. He'll get Anne on his own. He then says, "Isn't that right, Treville." The hooded man removes his hood and is revealed as none other than Treville. He asks Richelieu if he's going to let his revenge slip away but Richelieu says he's waited 300 years for this so that's not going to happen. Treville then says that he wants Richelieu to stop poking around his personal affairs as he's noticed Rochefort following him and watching him lately. Richelieu agrees that he will stay out of his business and Treville is pleased, saying if he finds Rochefort still poking around there will be consequences.
Outside Rochefort is looking at a photograph he got from Patrick. it's a picture of Castlemore with baby D'Artagnan, along with Patrick and Treville. This picture proves that Treville knew Castlemore back then which was before he or Richelieu came to the island.
Meanwhile Milady is on the roof and it begins to snow. She realized that Richelieu probably loves D'Artagnan and is willing to give up finding the key for the tower for her. She apparently really did want Richelieu to love her but he didn't return her feelings. She is jealous of D'Artagnan but knows she can't get in between her and Richelieu. It's why she turned to materialistic things to fill the void in her because of lack of love. Suddenly Patrick comes by holding a photo album. He's looking for Rochefort to get a photo back that he took.
At the dorm D'Artagnan is in her room when Constantine comes looking for her. he asks where she's been and also tells her Planche has been worried about her too. he tells her that if she needs to talk about something or needs help she can rely on him. He also is skeptical about the reason the Musketeers were killed. Even if they were demons they always did everything to protect the school. He apologizes for talking about such things and leaves. At this time Richelieu also tells Rochefort not to follow Treville anymore, though Rochefort is reluctant to do so.
Planche comes to visit D'Artagnan the next day. She still can't believe Aramis was a demon or the other Musketeers for that matter. She ask D'Artagnan what she's doing for Noel. she said she planned to spend with with Aramis and the other girls but since that won't happen they're all just going to spend it together.
Rochefort ended up going to Buckingham tower. he's still following Treville and every time he gets to the tower he loses sight of him. He wonders if the rumors about the maze underneath the tower are true and begins to look round. he sees a stone shining on the ground. he thinks it might be a trap but still he has to take that chance. It's for Richelieu's sake after all.
D'Artagnan also decides to finally go to the church, remembering the times she met with Richelieu, like the time she first met his real form even if she didn't know it. At the time he was so kind and she finds it hard to think it had all been a lie. Suddenly Richelieu shows up and greets her like usual. she tries to flee but he calls out to her, asking why she's leaving. She came here to see him, right? He tells her to let out her feelings and she tells him that he trampled all over her feelings. she voices her confusion over him, how he was so kind to her and how they laughed and had fun and yet he did all those terrible things. He just lets her let out her anger until she draws her sword on him.
He tells her to kill him. He's the one who killed her father and the Musketeers however she hesitates and he asks her why. She has every right do after all. Instead she drops her sword and says she just can't do it. She's given up on her revenge, she's tired of thinking about it. Now all she wants is for Richelieu to live peacefully. He asks her if she wants him to give up his revenge. he's been planning this for 300 years. he can't stop not just for his sake but for he sake of those who died because of Anne's betrayal. This also includes Constance, who died because of events caused by Anne. He tells her that she can have his life but to wait till after he's dealt with Anne. He starts to tell her something else but then stops himself and leaves.
That evening Treville shows up at Richelieu's office with a captured Rochefort in tow. He caught Rochefort snooping around still despite his warnings. He asks Richelieu how he'll compensate for this and Richelieu says however he wants. Treville then says, "And if I ask for you to stop the search for Anne, what would you say? Richelieu asks unfazed but Treville just laughs and wonders what he should say. Rochefort doesn't want Richelieu to give up Anne so he will offer his own live as compensation. So Treville says the other option will be Rochefort's life in exchange for him giving Richelieu Anne. Richelieu can choose whichever. That night Richelieu goes to the church to drink, unsure of what to do.
Also that evening Rochefort calls D'Artagnan to his classroom. When she arrives he's quiet at first then begins talking about how short a human life is. As a human she could die any moment for any reason. So humans must live heir life the best they can regardless of when their time comes. He asks her what she would do if Richelieu were to die. He then tells her that she is the key and he tells her exactly how she would be used. When she asks him how that's possible he tells her both he and Richelieu don't know why she became the key.
D'Artagnan is of course wondering what the point of killing the Musketeers was if she was the key the whole time and Rochefort reveals it was at Treville's request. He's the one who ransomed the information for the Musketeers life. Also Richelieu kept the information about her being the key secret to protect her. He tells her that she should try to treasure her life since Richelieu tried so hard to protect. There's a very special reason Richelieu did such a thing and he wants her to really think about it. (I love how he doesn't just come out and say "MY MASTER IS IN LOVE WITH YOU, MORON!")
Rochefort continues, saying he told her this since he's going to die soon. He's exchanging his life for a chance for Richelieu to get Anne. There's nothing else he can do and this may be the only chance for Rochelieu to get Anne without the help of the necklace. D'Artagnan of course doesn't want things to come to this but Rochefort tells her he's already made up his mind and leaves. After he laves D'Artagnan cries alone in the empty classroom.
At the church Rochefort goes to meet Richelieu, prepared to die. Rochefort apologizes for not being of more use to him but with this they can finally get their revenge. Richelieu draws his sword and prepares to kill Rochefort. Rochefort only smiles as he's stabbed. Before he dies he tells Richelieu that he has one more thing to tell him. He says Treville's objective is not the tower. There's something sleeping in a coffin in the maze under the tower, however he doesn't know what it is or the connection to Treville. Richelieu is shocked thanking Rochefort for doing all he could to tell him this. Rochefort wishes Richelieu luck before dying. With Richelieu's end of the deal with Treville made, Treville takes him to Anne.
Meanwhile D'Artagnan is running around the school trying to find Richelieu. She's still thinking about what Rochefort told her and has things she needs to tell Richelieu. When it begins to snow heavily outside she runs out to the old church where she finds Rochefort dead.
In the main hall Treville brings Anne to Richelieu. The two finally face off. Anne is surprised this young man is Richelieu. Richelieu on the other hand tells her that he will now exact is revenge on her for betraying France. Anne begins to cry that she doesn't want to die but Richelieu only tells her no one will come. She will die here. Anne continues to cry for help and Richelieu draws his sword, telling her this is for the honor of France. However before he can kill her Louis arrives, asking him to stop.
When Anne calls his name Richelieu is shocked to realize this is the former King of France reincarnated. Even so Richelieu will not be stopped, even by the king. Louis doesn't want to stop him though, but to end things with his own hands. Anne is shocked and asks if he means what she thinks. Louis says that after seeing everything they'd put D'Artagnan through he knew he had to put a stop to things. All this time he's closed his eyes to everything that happened, even 300 years ago he's been running from his sins. He knew the whole time what Anne was doing was wrong. He can't undo what happened 300 years ago but he can put a stop to things now. He asks Richelieu if he can be the one to do this and Richelieu concedes. Even though Anne cries for him to stop Louis draws his sword and kills her. As Anne dies she calls out her lover's name, George Villiers, the Duke of Buckingham.
Louis stares down at Anne's body and says he knew this whole time she was in love with the Duke of Buckingham, that she betrayed him, but still he loved her. He gives Richelieu two of the 12 diamond gems that are in the necklace. He apologizes for Richelieu for not protecting France from Anne's treachery, telling him he'd allowed himself to be blinded by cowardice and love.
On the beach Treville congratulates Richelieu. Anne and the musketeers and everyone related to what happened 300 years ago is dead. However there is one more. Someone attacked Richelieu on the battlefield but Constance died protecting Richelieu instead. Constance was Anne's lady in waiting and found out Anne planned to kill Richelieu's family so she went out to warn him. However, she was killed by the musketeer who tried to attack Richelieu. That musketeer was named D'Artagnan. So naturally Richelieu's revenge is not complete.
When Constance died Richelieu was so distraught he was willing to sell his soul to a demon to get revenge. Thus Treville showed up and granted his wish, making him a demon. Richelieu tells Treville that even thought the Musketeers and D'Artagnan stopped him from stopping Anne back then Anne has always been his true objective. Needless to say Richelieu doesn't need to kill anyone else. Treville isn't happy to hear this and says that if that's the case he'll just have to kill Richelieu. Richelieu tells him he can't give him his life as he's already promised it to D'Artagnan.
Treville doesn't really care and says he'll kill him regardless so Richelieu draws his sword. he's ready to face Treville but suddenly Treville slashes him, obviously much faster than Richelieu. He tells Richelieu this is part of his own revenge and slashes him again. After Richelieu falls Treville says humans are so troublesome, and bids Richelieu goodbye as he leaves.
Laying on the beach Richelieu asks for D'Artagnan's forgiveness since he can't die by her hands. 'Artagnan arrives on the beach no long after though and when she comes Richelieu calls out to her, saying she finally came.
Richelieu tells her he's happy he can see her again, that he can look on her face once more. D'Artagnan is worried about him since he's badly injured but Richelieu tells her his life is hers to do what she will. He's done so many awful things to her and hurt her heart but now he can pay for what's he done. He did love being with her though, all the times they met and talked. However D'Artagnan tells him she wants to start over with him. He murmurs how he can truly fall in love with her now. He is a romantic after all.
She tells him that he's not bound by his past anymore. Richelieu says he is no longer bound by God since he's not a cardinal anymore. So now he's free to love the woman he wants. He does tell her he's not a very good man since he needs her to help him. However, she doesn't mind. Richelieu ends up passing out so she carries him back to the dorm and patches him up.

Richelieu: Route Synopsis Part 3
It's time for the Chevaliar dance party! The Musketeers decide to keep a closer watch on D'Artagnan since they still don't know what she knows and her objective. Everyone is excited for the party, everyone talking about getting ready for it and all the food and dancing. D'Artagnan gets ready for the party, wearing the dress and accessories Richelieu sent her.
At the party the entire school is surprised to see Richelieu there. No one has seen him since the opening ceremony. Apparently this is the first time he's ever showed up for the dance party too. He greets the students, saying he hopes they enjoy the evening. D'Artagnan watches the party from the sidelines, seeing everyone dancing ad having fun. She's surprised when Richelieu comes up to her and asks her to dance. She's really nervous since everyone is watching them but goes with him onto the dance floor.
As they're dancing he notices she's tense and asks if she's having fun at the party. She manages a reply but he wonders if maybe she wanted to dance with someone else. She tells him she's just really nervous since everyone is watching. He laughs and said he was thinking she didn't want to dance with him. Laughing again he says that after the dance it will be time for the princess to flee and asks her to meet him at the church when the song ends. She agrees which seems to please him and the two dance till the end of the song.
Some time after the dance part Milady pays Richelieu a visit. She brings him a cheesecake as a gift. When she asks if he doesn't like sweet things he says that's not it but he wants to know what she's doing there since it's obvious she did't come just to drop off a gift. She says she did come to drop off the cake for him as a gift but she's not trying to seduce him or anything. She knows that it's pointless since Richelieu cannot forget his previous love. e's not exactly fooled by her though and asks what she's after.
Milady says she's the type of woman who prefers valuables to romantic promises. valuables are constant while feelings can fade so she prefer to not put her energy into such things. She also brings up D'Artagnan and says that Richelieu should treasure her since it's clear D'Artagnan seeks a connection with him. Richelieu wonders why Milady has such an interest in D'Artagnan and she apologizes saying she can imagine the girl is lonely losing her father and moving to the Academy. So naturally she'd want to get closer to the people she cares about. She says she'll excuse herself now since he's making a scary face and he thanks her for the cheesecake and he'll have Rochefort talk with her. She says cake is best shared with someone and then leaves. Richelieu knows exactly what Milady is after, money, and he's got no patience for her.
Milady leaves the office and thinks to herself. She doesn't know the whole scheme but she wants to secure her reward in this matter. She also thinks it's odd Richelieu showed up for the party when he never has so D'Artagnan must be special to him. She decides to play cupid a little.
In the hall Athos confronts D'Artagnan again and says he'll ask her one more time why she trusts the principal. She has to know that the Principal is tricking her but before he can say more Milady arrives and tells D'Artagnan that the Richelieu called her to his office. Athos tries to get a last word in asking if D'Artagnan wants to make enemies of of them but Milady tells them that D'Artagnan needs to hurry. D'Artagnan tells Athos she doesn't want to cause problems with them and she won't do anything to get them in trouble before leaving.
When Milady and D'Artagnan go out to the courtyard she tells D'Artagnan that Richelieu wants to see her tomorrow morning and also tries to see what D'Artagnan thinks about him, commenting she seems to be getting close to the headmaster. She laughs it off as teasing and bids her good night.
That evening we see the hooded man on the roof, talking about D'Artagnan. He keeps saying just a little more, soon the day will arrive when all will be revealed. He wonders what sort of face D'Artagnan will make when she loses the one she loves and if it'll be a face full of pain or sadness. He laughs to himself.
The next morning D'Artagnan goes to Richelieu's office and knocks. There's no answer so she knocks again but when there is again no answer she decides to enter. What she finds is the mysterious handsome man from the church asleep at Richelieu's desk.
A little confused she goes up to him and tries to wake him up, calling out to him and saying he shouldn't sleep here. Richelieu will get mad if he finds him. Slowly he wakes up, saying he heard a lovely song. as he wakes he asks here what she wants and why she's here. She's confused and said she came to see Richelieu since he called for her. he asks her to keep quiet about this but the way he speaks reminds her of someone and then she realizes he's Richelieu!
When she asks him he says he is Richelieu, the headmaster of the academy. Naturally D'Artagnan is really confused because Richelieu us much older and this man is waaaaaaay younger. He laughs and tells her this is his real form. He uses the old man persona around the school to hide his real self but apparently Milady found out about this form. he says he's quite confident in his appearance and asks her if she thinks he looks good like this. She's still flustered and so he asks her if he's rendered her speechless, as a joke. She laughs and jokes back yes.
D'Artagnan asks him why he has two forms. he tells her it's to deceive Anne. She thinks he looks like his old self so when he wanders around the school in his young form it will be easier to catch her with her guard down. He even shows her how he changes, and his voice also gets deeper when he's older looking too. he changes back and tells her that while he plays the old headmaster THIS younger self is his real form. When she asks if Rochefort can transform as well Richelieu tells her he can, and he's actually an 84 year old man. D'Artagnan isn't sure she can picture Rochefort as an old man like that but Richelieu says he actually make that part up.
As D'Artagnan is taking all this in Richelieu asks if she wants to go on a date. She's surprised since he still is the headmaster Richelieu he knows but he asks if she doesn't want to go on a date with him like this. She says that's not the case and he asks where she wants to go then. She says she'll leave it up to him and he says that's not fair for her to make him decide. He wants to take the princess where she wants to go. She tells him anywhere is fine so he decides to take her to the greenhouse. He offers the princess his arm an they leave his office.
In the greenhouse as they walk around Richelieu tells D'Artagnan that it reminds him of the castle he once lived in. He said it always had flowers blooming everywhere and was very beautiful. D'Artagnan says she'd love to see it someday. Richelieu tells her once everything here is over he will take her there.
Richelieu also tells her how it reminds him of a woman he'd known back in the past, Constance. He thinks back to a time he once spoke with her. Apparently he had a very close relationship with her and he thinks D'Artagnan resembles her a little. Because he was a cardinal he didn't marry and was faithful only to God though when D'Artagnan asks if he was close to Constance he admits he may have been in love with her.
Switching the mood a bit D'Artagnan asks Richelieu about the time he was a soldier. he admits when he was younger he was brash and stupid but soon became a disciplined man. He lead the imperial army, living to protect the King's dignity and family. be cause he had the respects of his men an the citizens he felt no regrets or fear when it came to battle. if a part of the country was destroyed he only worked harder to make it so they could rebuild it. He always put forth his entire self to protect France.
Hearing this D'Artagnan says that Richelieu is a good man, putting others before himself and being so honorable. He asks her if she'd be scared if he suddenly became her enemy. She thinks on it and says perhaps and he laughs telling her that a good man can become terrifying if he switches sides. However, a weak enemy wouldn't be able to protect her as an ally. Richelieu tells her not to be attracted to a kind man or sympathize with a weak one, and also to NEVER fall in love with a man who can't run on the battlefield. She should of course fall in love with a man like him.
D'Artagnan is flustered but Richelieu laughs and says he's joking with her. She tries t calm herself down and decides to go and pick some flowers. Richelieu watches her go and thinks about what the definition of a good man is. He remembers back to the battlefield on the day Constance died. Apparently she shielded him from an enemy attack. Richelieu thins to himself that a good man would be able to protect the woman he loves. He laughs to himself because he told himself he would seal that memory away long ago yet he fins his himself warming inside whenever he is around D'Artagnan. He wonders why she moves his heart so much. His thoughts are interrupted when D'Artagnan comes back from picking flowers and the pair finish of their date.
That night Milady goes to visit Rochefort, saying that she saw D'Artagnan on a date with a charming young man. She's basically gossiping about the supposed relationship Richelieu has with D'Artagnan but Rochefort tells her where Richelieu wishes to go is not his business. If anything he's keeping D'Artagnan close since she has the key. She questions if perhaps Richelieu is developing feelings for D'Artagnan though. she tells Rochefort she knows D'Artagnan has feelings for Richelieu. Rochefort asks her how she knows and she replies with "Women's Intuition". Rochefort tells her off and that she need only obey Richelieu's orders and follow the plan if she wants her reward. After she leaves he wonders if perhaps she was right about Richelieu and D'Artagnan though.
In the church that night Richelieu, still in young form, is hearing voices. Apparently they are the souls of those who seek revenge on Anne. They don't want him to forget about his revenge. He changes back to his old form and reminds himself even that he will get revenge on Anne for her betrayal, no matter the cost. Back in his office he wonders how they can draw out Anne. They still don't know what she looks like or which one of the students she is. They do know that Anne still needs D'Artagnan who has the key and so long as she's under their influence they can draw her out.
The following day at school Planche asks her if she's heard about the demons that have been sighted around Buckingham Tower. She knows they might not be rumors since she's seen a demon but she's sure the Musketeers will protect them like they did before. When D'Artagnan goes to Richelieu's office he's not there. As she's walking back to the dorm wondering where he is she runs into Constantine. he says he just saw Athos heading for the tower and he had a scary look on his face.
Being nosy D'Artagnan heads to head through the woods to the tower to figure out what's going on. As she's wandering through the woods she sees Richelieu and Rochefort. she catches words and bits of their conversation but not enough to really know what they are talking about. She tries to get closer, catching a bit more of the conversation. She follows them to the tower where she sees Young Richelieu speaking with Athos and Porthos.
They're confused because they were expecting Rochefort to come instead. They wanted to ask Rochefort to hand D"Artagnan over. Porthos doesn't see the point and talking to this guy they don't know but Athos tells him to wait. Richelieu wonders if he'll turn into a demon and this sets Porthos off more who does transform and attack him. Except Richelieu also transforms and attacks back, actually hitting Porthos. it's clear Richelieu is strong so Athos transforms as well but even together they are no match for Richelieu. he knocks them both to the ground and says he has no plans on killing them. He warns them though to not touch D'Artagnan. Outmatched the Musketeers flee.
Once they leave he calls out to D'Artagnan who comes out from her hiding place. She asks him what's going on an he tells her that the Musketeers are being used by Anne so they are after her to try and get information about the key. he tells her she'll need to be careful from now on. He tells her he'll escort her back and when she asks why he tells her that she shouldn't wander in the woods alone anymore since demons might be out. He transforms into his headmaster old man look and takes her back to the dorm.
back at school the Musketeers wonder who the mysterious man was. he's powerful so they will have to be more careful. They also have to assume that Rochefort might also be a demon and who knows who else.
On Sunday D'Artagnan thinks back on everything she's learned and wonders what to do. She hears a knock at the door and finds Boncieux. She's surprised to see him and he says he just met the most charismatic person. he then hold sup a bouquet of flowers and a card and ells her that person wanted him to deliver this to her. When she reads the card the message says, "I'll come pick you up tonight -Apollo". She's both excited and flustered as she waits for night.
That night Richelieu comes to get her and takes her to an empty classroom. As they chat he sits at a desk and wonders what it would be like if he got reincarnated as one of her classmates instead. D'Artagnan says that it would be interesting. Richelieu says that he'd probably kick Porthos out of the Musketeers and also take the leader position since he's obviously stronger than Athos. he then says it might be odd if Rochefort ended up being his teacher though. D'Artagnan then decides to pretend to be the teacher and calls him Richelieu-kun. he's quiet at first and she asks if that was too much but he admits that it actually made him happy.
They both go quiet for a moment and when Richelieu calls out to her D'Artagnan nervously tries to switch the topic and thank him for the lilies he sent her. He asks why she's avoiding the subject and when she hesitates he asks again why she's avoiding things, why she seemed bothered by the look of happiness on his face. He does tell her about he lilies though. Apparently lilies are a sign of sinners in France. When she asks why he gave them to her he says she's a sinner since she's baffling him. D'Artagnan is all, "I am?" Ad he says yes, she is but then says they should go. He may become a sinner as well if they stay there any longer.
They go to the observatory And admire the view. Richelieu suddenly asks her if she's in love with anyone. She's hesitant to answer at first before telling him that she won't say. Richelieu of course is all, "What? Now I'm even more curious." and pins her against the wall
He asks her the question again so she finally says no one. He asks if that's true and she tells him yes. He retorts that he's right in front of her though so why isn't she in love. He always waits for her at the church and during the dance party he only danced with her. "Doesn't that make you happy?" D'Artagnan is flustered, trying to answer when Richelieu says, "I'm in love with you, D'Artagnan. You make me happy."
However he eventually laughs and tells her he's joking. He says she's cute and when she tries to get her nerves under control she wonders if he's just teasing her. He says that she really is cute and then says she should live with him after all this is over. She thinks it's just another joke though, however even the next day she can't seem to get him out of her mind.

Richelieu: Route Synopsis Part 2
The day after D'Artagnan found out who Richelieu was she was called to his office after class. Nervous she apologizes for speaking so casually to him before. she hadn't realized who he was after all. He tells her not to worry about it and that she doesn't need to be nervous. He asks her why she wanted to see him so badly and she explains the situation. She tells him about her father an that he was actually murdered, about the demons and also her suspicions regarding Rochefort.
From Richelieu she learns her father was a teacher at the school many years ago. Richelieu, now knowing her name and who her father was says he'll help her investigate. He tells her to leave everything to him and he'll help her get her answers. Naturally this makes D'Artagnan really happy to have someone help her and the headmaster no less. When Richelieu asks her about Anne she's confuse since at this point she doesn't know anyone named Anne but doesn't think anything of it.
That night D'Artagnan goes to the church and meets with Richelieu. She's still a bit nervous since she discovered he's the headmaster. She starts speaking very formally but he laughs and tells her to behave like usual. Relaxing a bit she asks Richelieu about her father when he was a teacher.
Richelieu told her that her father was a very earnest man and serious. D'Artagnan imagined him as a very strict teacher and someone who maybe never smiled but Richelieu laughs and said her father was always experimenting. He loved to study and would experiment late into the night but still managed to come to work at school and do his job well. D'Artagnan tried to ask if her mom was around back then since she only knows she died when D'Artagnan was little. Richelieu kinda of dodges the subject and laughs as he watches D'Artagnan, saying she looks happy when she speaks about her family.
Richelieu and Rochefort are still being shady and discuss their search for the key. since it seems like D'Artagnan doesn't know anything they have to keep searching on their own. Rochefort found that a sword fits into the tower door but when Richelieu suggests D'Artagnan's sword Richefort informs him any Chevalier sword will work. So they are still stuck.
Meanwhile Anne found out that D'Artagnan has fallen under Richelieu's influence leaving her without her piece in their revenge scheme. So she seeks out the Musketeers and speaks with Athos, convincing him of who she is and of Richelieu's scheme. This leads to D'Artagnan being harassed by both Porthos, who tries to inspect her bag in class, and Athos who confronts her in the hallways about the key.
A confused D'Artagnan once again goes to the church that night to try and meet with Richelieu. He tells her he's glad she still keeps coming to visit him here even though she now knows he's the headmaster. She says that he told her to act like usual and he laughs an says that's true. They sit down to chat and Richelieu tells her he did some investigating and found that Rochefort was not involved with her father's murder. That day he did go to see Castlemore but he left some guards and went into town after that. He says there are witnesses that saw him around the time her father was killed at night and the guards apparently ran after after hearing the screams.
As for the ring he says that it was stolen by Anne from Rochefort's room and was planted on her father's body. [At the beginning of the game after one or two play throughs you get an extra scene of Anne sneaking into Rochefort's room looking for the ring. Which is probably what Richelieu is referring to for this part]. In any case Richelieu also tells D'Artagnan that back when her father was a teacher he apparently stole the key for Buckingham tower and ran off. D'Artagnan makes a comment that she thought so and when Richelieu asks her about it she explains the Musketeers have been asking her about a key.
Richelieu tells D'Artagnan that a diamond necklace with great power is inside the tower. He doesn't want Anne to get it and at this point it's sounding like she had a hand in D'Artagnan's father's murder. D'Artagnan is glad she's actually getting to the bottom of this. After discussing all the information Richelieu asks D'Artagnan if she has anyone at the academy she can rely on. She's gone through a lot and she's probably trying to hold in too much. She's a little hesitant at first as she thinks on this and he tells her it's okay and this is a lot for one person to handle alone.
D'Artagnan asks if it's okay for her to rely on him. So far he's been the one person who will listen to her and has been willing to help. She wonders if that's too much for her to ask and he tells her no. He laughs and says he was hoping to hear this from her. Richelieu tells her not to feel like she needs to hold back with him. he may be the Headmaster but she can come to him to talk about anything.
When Sunday arrives it's a nasty rainy day. First on the agenda is she goes to speak to Rochefort and apologize for suspecting him. he's as rude as ever but accepts her apology even though he told her over and over again he didn't do anything wrong. For the rest of the day she spent time in her room reading and then went to the old church.
Like usual she finds Richelieu there who has also been reading all day. Since it was raining outside he decided to enjoy a book since he likes to read. He asks her what sort of book she was reading. She admits it was a romance novel and Richelieu asks her what sort of love story it was. he laughs as she explains it and when she asks him if he likes those sorts of stories he tells her he does.
Despite his looks he has experienced love for himself. He tells her that the time he spends with her heals his mind so perhaps this is a form of love as well. D'Artagnan asks him what sorts of love stories he reads and he tells her he reads Maurice Sceve love poems. They talk a little more and D'Artagnan starts to head back to the dorm. Half way back she realizes she forgot her book and runs back to the church. When she enters the church she can see the form of someone inside and for a moment thinks perhaps Richelieu is still there. Instead she found someone entirely different.
A very handsome man is holding both her's and Richelieu's books. He looks at her and asks, "Are these yours?" He holds up the books and she gestures t the one that isn't a thick as a textbook. he laughs and hands her the other book then. Introducing herself he asks him if he's associated with the Academy. The mysterious man laughed and told her there's not a person on this island that isn't related to the academy. He then smiles and tells her they will meet again eventually and when hat is relies on her. Telling her to have a good night he leaves.
So we're getting close to the Chevalier Academy ball that takes place in early December. D'Artagnan is talking about it with Planche in the hallway when Constantine comes up to her to ask her to the dance, very adorably. Not overly excited about the dance but wanting to experience the Academy things she accepts Constantine's invitation to go together.
That afternoon, however, Athos basically drags D'Artagnan to Buckingham Tower and asks her to put her Chevalier sword into the lock slot. She refuses and he keeps trying to get her to without explaining much or saying things that just confuses her more since she isn't sure what this key is and her father never told her. They argue more since Athos warns her she's being deceived by Richelieu and Rochefort but D'Artagnan says Rochefort didn't do anything wrong and Richelieu has been willing to at least tell her what's going on. Seeing this is useless Athos gives up for the day.
That evening D'Artagnan also witnesses Milady entering Rochefort's room, trying to make a deal with him about the key and the treasure in the tower. D'Artagnan of course takes it the wrong way.
The following evening D'Artagnan goes to the tower with some things from her room, trying to see what this key might be. Everyone keeps asking her about it so she wonders if it's something her father left her that she doesn't know about. She ends up being attacked by demons and tries to fight them but is no match for them. Fortunately Rochefort showed up to save her but because there were so many demons he had to transform into a demon as well to destroy them. Needless to say D'Artagnan is shocked but it's clear Rochefort saved her. However, just then the Musketeers shows up and thinking the demon Rochedfort is attacking D'Artagnan they all transform and attack him. Rochefort freezes them all and makes his escape with D'Artagnan in tow.
They go back to Richelieu's office. D'Artagnan is still shocked after seeing not only Rochefort but the Musketeers turn into demons. She asks Richelieu is he is also a demon and demands to know what is going on. Richelieu assure her that while they kept this from her everything else he told her was the truth, about her father and about Rochefort. He then admits that his true objective is Anne and what she is the reason they became demons. Rochefort is reluctant to reveal the truth but Richelieu says they cannot expect D’Artagnan to believe them any further unless they explain.
Richelieu explains that 300 years ago during the reign of Louis XIII he was the prime minister and cardinal of France. At that time they were locked in a war with the House of Habsburg and so they attempted to form an alliance with England. The negotiations went sour and another war erupted. The duke of Buckingham that lead the English fleet was also Anne’s lover. While Richelieu and Rochefort fought to protect France, Anne sold them out to England and gave the diamond necklace Louis had given her to the Duke of Buckingham, knowing it held great power.
When Rochefort and Richelieu tried to get the necklace back it enraged Anne and she had them and their families killed. Unable to forgive this betrayal, Richelieu became a demon and waited for everyone related to the incident to be reincarnated. Now after 300 years he’s reincarnated to get his revenge on Anne. On December 31st the opportunity day the demons power will be released and allow Anne to leave the island. he wants to settle things before then and knows Anne wishes to kill him as well in order to erase everyone else connected to this. Richelieu says that’s why they need her help to open the tower as quickly as they can since she can help them find the key her father stole all those years ago.
As she goes back to the dorm, D'Artagnan is conflicted. While she understands Richelieu's pain she doesn't feel revenge is the way to go. Still she doesn't know what to do about it. She goes to the roof to speak with Treville and tells him everything. Treville feels they can trust Richelieu since it's thanks to him the school has been peaceful even against the demons. She agrees but is still confused so Treville tells her there's plenty of time before the opportunity day so she should think carefully and calmly about all of this.
In Richelieu's office Rochefort is reporting to him that D'Artagnan spoke with Treville. Richelieu believes D'Artagnan won't be telling anyone unrelated to this about what he told her. Still he's having Rochefort follow her around just in case.
When D'Artagnan gets back to her room after speaking with Treville she finds a present from none other than Richelieu. It's a dress with some accessories and a note that says, "Enjoy the party."
Meanwhile rumors about demons are flying among the students and several demons have been seen around Buckingham tower. The Musketeers are concerned about the demons as well but they still don't know who's controlling them. That evening D'Artagnan also decides to report the rumors to Richelieu since she's worried someone might get hurt. She's already been attacked several times after all. She knows she saw Rochefort turn into a demon and the Musketeers but the black demons seem different.
Richelieu explains there are two types of demons. One is humans who can turn into demons and the others are demon familiars whom he considers enemies of the academy. If the Musketeersstay out of his way though he will leave them alone. Since more students seem to be seeing demons though he orders Rochefort out to dispatch the summoned demons for safety's sake.
The next day Athos confronts D'Artagnan again. He takes her to the student council office and asks her about the night she saw them transform. he's already figured she reported this all to Richelieu, not aware the demon that was with D'Artagnan is Rochefort. He asks her why she's not afraid of them. Why she isn't bothered by them. Flustered and not sure what to say she runs out of the office.

Richelieu: Route Synopsis Part 1
Time to take on the Headmaster/Principal of the academy, Richelieu-sama who is voiced by Hoshino Takanori.
Richelieu seems like the caring sugar daddy type given he's a lot older than D'Artagana but he's got a dark past shadowed in betrayal and revenge. When D'Artagnan first meets him she's not aware that he's the Principle until much later, meeting him in the old abandoned church on several occasions. Richelieu heads up the academy but is rarely see by the students though he's exactly how he seems on the surface, a calm dignified man with a gentle personality. However there's more to him than meets the eye.
We'll skip ahead to the day D'Artagnan first attempts to meet the headmaster. Unfortunately Rochefort was there and forced her to the ground so while she heard the headmaster's voice she didn't see him. Kicked out of the office she gave up for the day, thinking she'd most likely have to go about her plan to recruit the Musketeers after all.
So later that day D'Artagnan goes about her lessons and eventually bumps into Rochefort on the way back to the dorm. He takes his sapphire ring back from her but says he had nothing to do with her father's death before leaving. However Rochefort now knows she is the daughter of Castlemore and reports to Richelieu about her so he knows a girl named D'Artagnan is the daughter of Castlemore.
Going about her school like D'Artagnan follows Aramis for a day before challenging him to a duel. After that she goes to Buckingham tower to train for her upcoming duel and on the way back fins an old abandoned church. it is here she meets a mysterious older gentleman. She timidly calls out to him and he asks if she's a student. When she says yes and goes to introduce herself he stops her. Confused she stares at him and he laughs, saying it would be interesting if they could talk without knowing each other's names.
He then tells her he works for the academy but won't say more. D'Artagnan assumes he must be a teacher but not one she has. Curious about him D'Artagnan asks if he'd like to chat for a bit and the man laughs, saying he'd like that. He asks her what she's doing here at night and she says she was training until now, explaining how she has been traning hard to learn fencing even outside of her lessons. D'Artagnan then asks him why he's there and he explains that sometimes he likes to come here since it's quiet and he can just enjoy the evening without other things distracting him.
They talk about many things like about D'Artagnan's upcoming match and he finds her interesting, laughing as she speaks. He asks D'Artagnan if she's like to meet up again to talk. However since they don't want to reveal their real names it might be odd to call out to one another so he gives her the name "Selene" while he'll be called "Apollo", like the god of the sun. When D'Artagnan calls him "Apollo-san" he laughs, thinking it sounds nice. So they promise to meet again with the mysterious man saying he'll be waiting here for her.
The following evening after school was D'Artagnan's duel with Aramis, which she won. Afterward she went to the old church to meet up with Apollo-san who is happy to see here and clears off a seat for them to sit. she comes to tell him about the results of her Important match that day. However she thinks that Aramis might have lost on purpose. Apollo-san says that there's no such think in a math and what matters is the end result. He tells her she should feel proud of herself. He then asks if she will tell him more about herself as they play cards.
The next day at school D'Artagnan has the confrontation with Planche over Aramis. in the woods they are attacked and D'Artagnan defends Planche from the demons who attacked them. D'Artagnan is saved by Aramis after Planche tells him she's in trouble and it's here the Musketeers learn a little more about our heroine. The following day Placnhe apologizes and thanks D'Artagnan for saving her though she's still her rival in love over Aramis-sama, but in a friendly way.
Some days later exams are starting to come up and D'Artagnan begins training with Aramis. On the way back from a lesson Porthos calls out to her and they agree to duel after exams. Instead of studying back in her room D'Artagnan is hoping to find out more information. So she heads to the church to meet with Apollo and ask him about the island. He's happy to see her again when she arrives and offers her a seat. She decides to sit next to him. When she asks him about the island though he says he doesn't know much about it. He directs the conversation back to her, saying he wants to learn more about her.
He wants to know where she's from and the things she likes. She tells him about herself, about how she lost her only family, her father. He tells her she must feel lonely and then says many students feel the same loneliness since they live far away from home. When she asks him if he feels lonely too and he says he's used to loneliness.
The next day is exams and after finishing up D'Artagnan meets Porthos for their duel which she once again wins. D'Artagnan also did well on her exams and after seeing her score after school she goes to the tower to train with Aramis. Aramis hears a noise and goes into the woods to check when a demon shows up. This time though Rochefort shows up to slay the demon and save her, telling her demons have been seen and she shouldn't be around the tower or out at night by herself.
Fencing training continues the following day with both Aramis and Porthos. That even though D'Artagnan goes to the church once again. Apollo asks her how she did on her exams and she tells him she passed them all, with her best score being in fencing. he tells her that's quite surprising since it's rare for a girl to excel in such an area of study. D'Artagnan doesn't understand why since she really likes it and finds it more fun then her other subjects. Apollo laughs and says that's why she's such a unique person.
D'Artagnan asks him if he wants to go outside and take a walk since the moon was so beautiful tonight. Apollo says that it might be good to take a walk for a bit and the pair walk out into the woods. As they step out he says the moon really is beautiful and D'Artagnan agrees but she's so busy looking up she trips. Apollo catches her and decides to hold her hand as they walk so she doesn't fall. As they walk she asks him about his past. He's surprised she'd ask but decides to tell her.
Apollo says he was born in Western France and was the third of five siblings. He asks if she has any siblings and she tells him she's an only child. he continues to explain he grew up learning both philosophy and military training. Apparently he had been a weak child but he always wanted to be a soldier, which he finds funny now.
Halloween has finally arrived and everyone is excited about the party they are gonna have on the beach. That evening D'Artagnan goes to the church to find Apollo but when she doesn't find him there she checks the tower. He's happy to see her an they go back inside to chat. She asks him if he'll attend the Halloween Party and he tells her he will he here at the church that night. D'Artagnan decides not attend and instead goes to the Church, in costume, to visit Apollo.
D'Artagnan brought Apollo a butler outfit that she asks him to put on so they'll both be in costume. He's actually really reluctant at first, wondering if she likes this sort of thing and then puts it on. (OMFG HE LOOKS REALLY GOOD IN IT!) So Apollo puts on the butler outfit which D'Artagnan thinks looks really good on him, saying he looks cool. He decided to play along and acts like her butler, calling her "Princess" and asking how he may serve her. She says he's such a dignified butler causing him to fall out of character for a moment. he asks her what order is and she pulls out a deck of cards, saying she wants to play a card game with him. he agrees and the pair sit down for a little game.
As they play D'Artagnan starts to giggle to herself and when he asks her what's so funny she says his words aren't very butler-like. He says it's hard to act like her butler while they're playing poker though. Still as they play he continues to call her princess and act like a butler.
Apollo asks D'Artagnan if she is okay not going to the party. She says it's more fun to come and spend time with him but he asks her if she's not scared about the demon rumors. However, before they can talk more Rochefort arrives to pick up Richelieu-sama. it's at this point D'Artagnan realizes that Apollo is Richelieu the headmaster of the school and the person she'd been trying to see all this time. Surprised she stutters out her realization and Rochefort warns her that Richelieu is not someone just anyone can get close to and smacks her hand away when she comes close. Richelieu tells Rochefort that's enough and the pair leave, leaving the baffled D'Artagnan alone at the church.

Rochefort: Route Synopsis Part 5 [END]
When the Musketeers return Porthos is less than kind to Rochefort. Athos however steps in and tells him to back off. Rochefort says that while he has been working with Richelieu up till now he's switching sides in order to protect D'Artagnan. while he did want to help Richelieu get revenge on Anne after what she did he couldn't do this if it meant putting D'Artagnan in danger and so he asks for their help.
Porthos still thinks this is crazy but Athos says that despite what happened he still respects him as their advisor and he'd already been planning to help Rochefort earlier. Porthos hopes this doesn't come back to bite them in the ass but if Athos trusts him he will too. Aramis laughs and says then they are all in agreement. There is the matter of the students though. They need to protect them and they also aren't sure which teachers are demons so they aren't sure who to trust.
We skip back to the Principle's office where Richelieu is talking with the hooded man. They talk about Rochefort's betrayal and how he and D'Artagnan escaped but he knows they'll return and when they do he'll get revenge on them as well.
At the cabin everyone agrees the plan is to protect D'Artagnan until after the opportunity day so that Anne can leave the island and escape Richelieu's revenge, but also save the students. So they decide to split up. The Musketeers are going to save the students while Rochefort and D'Artagnan face off against Richelieu. Athos asks if Rochefort will be able to handle the principle and even Porthos shows a little bit of concern. Rochefort says he's not so easily killed an the one who should deal with Richelieu is him. They go back and forth about this but ultimately decided to leave Richelieu to Rochefort and D'Artagnan.
Outside Athos and Rochefort speak. He asks Rochefort if he really wants to take D'Artagnan with him since she is the key and there's a chance something might happen. Rochefort says he will protect her no matter what. When Athos tries to ask him about his feelings toward D'Artagnan Rochefort says that it's starting to snow more so they best be off quickly before it gets worse and goes inside. Athos thinks to himself Rochefort must be scared. Inside they all join their swors and the Musketeers leave for the academy to put their plan into actions.
Somewhere at the academy Anne is speaking with Louis and realizes D'Artagnan is safe and with Rochefort. She's amused since she had been scared things would go bad but it seems like Richelieu's plan is falling apart. Louis thinks things might still go bad so they should be careful still.
Now D'Artagnan and Rochefort are alone at the cabin. Rochefort assures her that Patrick will help the Musketeers free the students and she shouldn't worry. They also talk about the date today and D'Artagnan says that it's Noel and it's a day to spend with family or people important to you. He asks her what her point is and she says that he's important to her so she's happy to spend today with him. He doesn't understand why she would think such a thing give everything that's happened but she says he's still important to her. He then admits to having lied to her about being involved in her father's death. Although Richelieu was the one who told her he had nothing to do with it that wasn't exactly the case.
On the day he visited Castlemore he realized he had a family and so instead of taking him away immediately he gave him time to decide what he wanted to do. Had he just taken him away with him at that time then Castlemore might still be alive. So in a way he's related to the incident. Rochefort asks her if she can still call him important to her knowing this and she tells him yes. She's happy he told her and grateful to hear he'd tried to give her father time to say goodbye to her. She finally confesses that she loves him and then asks if she can kiss him. He's surprised but then curtly tells her she can do whatever she wants. D'Artagnan is flustered since she hadn't exactly thought about doing it for real and when she takes too long he tells her to hurry up. Finally Rochefort sighs and kisses her instead.
She's surprised and he told her she took too long. he then questions if a human and a demon can even be together. D'Artagnan asks him how someone would get a demon seal since she wants to be with him no matter what. "A demon seal? How about I give you a different seal instead?" He leaned down and kisses her neck, branding her in a different way.
As they snuggled together she asks him if he's feeling better, since he'd sorta been freezing to death earlier. he says it's fine and being near her is nice. D'Artagnan apologizes though since she made him betray the person he trusted for so long but he tells her he did it because he wanted to. He then pulls her close so he can keep her warm for the night.
Now it's finally the day. The pair are making their way though the snow back to the school. D'Artagnan wants to hold hands but Rochefort wonders if she's cold. She tells him she just wants to hold hands just because and he finally agrees as they head to the school. On the way She sees some icicles hanging and tries to reach up to touch them. She's not tall enough and tries to jump up to grab them but Rochefort tells her to stop since there is a cliff nearby and it's dangerous. His words are too late because she ends up slipping and they fall down the hill and into the snow together.
Rochefort sighs and says that's why he said to be careful and when D'Artagnan sits up she apologizes for getting them covered in snow. However Rochefort starts laughing at the situation and D'Artagnan thinks to herself how she wishes time could stop on this moment.
Eventually they both get up and continue to the school. When they arrive it's still way before the time they are supposed to meet Richelieu so they go to Rochefort's room.
Rochefort says they can wait here for a while and then says to wait a moment, grabbing some grapes for her since he knows she likes them. D'Artagnan happily eats them. She notices he has a lot of wine bottle sin his room and asks if he likes wine.he says yes an that he can tell the name of the wine just by smelling them. So she asks if he'll play a game with her. He has to guess which wine is which and if he gets it wrong he has to tell her he loves her. Even if it's a lie or a joke she wants to hear him say it once. he laughs and says he wouldn't say it as a joke. he tells her she doesn't need to have them play a game to ask for something. She can be honest. He knows she's worried about the coming battle and tells her he'll protect her but he also trusts her to watch his back as well.
As they head for the tower they both join swords, promising to fight together. When they meet Richelieu at the tower to face off Richelieu says he'll give Rochefort one more chance. He'll forgive his betrayal if he'll kill D'Artagnan now. Rochefort remains silent but D'Artagnan realizes now what the key is, it's her. That's why Rochefort tried so hard to protect her and even betrayed Richelieu. Richelieu says he'd have to be an idiot to abck down even after fidning out she was the key. He will kill her and use her blood to get the necklace and finally exact his revenge on Anne. In a way she's dying for France and for Rochefort.
To make matters worse Richelieu reveals he's planning to kill all the students anyways since he doesn't know which one of them is Anne. D'Artagnan tells him that revenge won't make things right and then Rochefort says that even if it's Richelieu he won't let him touch D'Artagnan. They both run off into the woods since talking with Richelieu anymore is useless. Richelieu summons demons and send them after the pair and transforms as well.
They hear the demons coming but know they need to buy enough time for the Musketeers to get the students off the island. Some of the demons still try to attack the students near the beach but the Musketeers defeat them but Porthos is worried about needing to hurry so they can go help D'Artagnan as well. Finally the students make it to the beach where the tide is low enough for them to walk across the land bridge. With the students safe the Musketeers head back to help Rochefort ad D'Artagnan.
However our lovers are not doing well. They got surrounded by demons. They managed to kill some but more keep coming and D'Artagnan ends up getting hurt. As a human he knows he can only do so much so Rochefort finally changes to a demons and kills most of them. he tells D'Artagnan to hurry but then realizes she's bleeding pretty bad from her injuries and she collapses.
When she wakes up she finds herself with Rochefort in the old abandoned church. Even though D'Artagnan is hurt she tells Rochefort she's willing to die if she can protect him. she asks him what they nee to do to open the tower, willing to do anything. He isn't having it and tells her that's enough. he's not going to sacrifice her for himself.
They are interrupted by Richelieu who tells them there is nowhere to run. Rochefort finally challenges Richelieu to a final fight, saying he will protect D'Artagnan and then attacks him. They take their fight outside the church, throwing their elemental attacks at one another. When Richelieu starts throwing attacks at Rochefort he tells him he'll feel more and more pain to pay for his betrayal. An injured D'Artagnan manages to pick herself up, still wanting to protect Rochefort who's losing the fight. When Richelieu goes to attack D'Artagnan Rochefort shields her, holding her close as richelieu runs them both through.
With D'Artagnan's blood Richelieu left for the tower while the pair collapsed together in the snow.
D"Artagnan tells him she's sorry and he asks her why she's apologizing. she says she's sorry for making him fight a losing battle. He smiles and says, "What are you saying....?" He tells her his defeat came with the honor of loving her.
Apparently the Musketeers managed to stop Richelieu and return the necklace to Anne but by the time they find Rochefort and D'Artagnan they are already lifeless.
Porthos is devastated, asking why this had to happen and begins to sob uncontrollably. Athos apologizes for not reaching them in time, while Aramis tells them both that they were able to rescue all the students so they can rest in peace.
As the snow falls on the school, Rochefort's soul can be heard. As a soldier he's never looked back at anything he's done but after meeting D'Artagnan he began to feel regret. He kept questioning how he could make things better between them, things he should have done or said. However this regret is proof of his feelings for her. He says D'Artagnan changed something inside him and then tells her he loves her.
Epilogue
Several decades later it's once again the first day of school for the new year at the academy. D'Artagnan and Rochefort are watching over the Academy as spirits. She's so interested in seeing all the new students and Rochefort asks her if she misses school life and is envious of the Students. Then asks if she's lonely.
he asks if she'd want to leave the island. she says she doesn't because here she can spend forever with him here. She asks if he feels the same. Rochefort doesn't say anything so she asks if perhaps she's asking him a difficult question. He laughs and affectionately ells her no. he promises he'll tell her more about his heart from now on. They have all eternity to learn more about each other after all.
And that concludes Rochefort's route. Here have a tissue.

Rochefort: Route Synopsis Part 4
The following day D'Artagnan wakes to find Rochefort getting ready to leave. He's been called to Richelieu's office. When he arrives Richelieu informs him that he's found the identity of the key that will let them in to Buckingham Tower. The key is actually D'Artagnan. If they pierce her heart and use her blood on any of the Academy's swords they will be able to open the tower.
Rochefort is actually surprised, realizing they need to sacrifice D'Artagnan to reach their goal. His obvious distress is noticed by Richelieu but he tells Rochefort to follow his orders as always. With this they can finally get their revenge on Anne. His orders are absolute and clarifies to Rochefort why he's the one in charge. Reluctantly Rochefort says he understands. In addition Richelieu tells Rochefort to be the one to pierce D'Artagan's heart. He tells Rochefort that he need not feel pity for the girl and Rochefort agrees to carry out the order. Please Richelieu can see the end of his revenge in sight.
In his class Rochefort is watching the last of his students leave but he's deep in thought, clearly bothered by this turn of events. He goes to Buckingham Tower, remembering what Richelieu told him. he draws his sword, muttering about this being his order an begins to hack at the trees before dropping his word and saying this is for France, this is for Richelieu. he only needs to follow orders however why does he need to do this to fulfill Richelieu's wish. He remembers telling D'Artagnan about the sapphire ring and it's symbol of his loyalty to Richelieu and thinks to himself "I....I...." He doesn't return to his room that night.
When morning comes D'artagnan is wondering where Rochefort is since he did not return last night even after she went to bed. She starts to worry that something may have happened when he does return to her surprise. She greats him relieved however he doesn't say anything to her and goes to put something away in a drawer before turning to her and asking what she wants to do today. Surprised D'artagnan asks him why he asked and he tells her he took a day off under Richelieu's orders. He says he'll let her get out of the room since she's been cooped up for so long and then asks her again what she wants to do. So D'Artagnan says she wants to go to the beach.
On the beach D'Artagnan enjoys herself, watching the water and thinking the sea looks so pretty. As she's talking Rochefort watches her silently for a moment and then asks her why she doesn't try to escape. She simply tells him if she did that it would only cause trouble for him plus if she makes him angry he won't take her here anymore. He agrees this is true and the day wanes on as they hang out on the beach. Later he Rochefort commets that he still doesn't understand how she can so easily be around him like this. He's a demon and he imprisoned her and has been cold and cruel to her. She responds by saying that Rochefort never attacks her. Every time she was in trouble he was there to save her even when she was imprisoned he looked after her.
It turns to evening and begins to snow so Rochefort grabs D'Artagnan by the wrist and says they are going back. However, he's not grabbing her very roughly and D'Artagnan thinks to herself it's like they're holding hands.
They go back to Rochefort's room and have dinner but D'Artagnan notices Rochefort is acting odd and asks him what's wrong but he tells her it's nothing. he comments that it's really snowing outside now and then goes quiet for a moment before asking her if she remembers what he told her about justice. She tells him yes and repeats roughly what he said back at the prison. He listens and says that's right and says he doesn't need a false sense of justice, he only needs to follow Richelieu's orders. He then begins to give her comparisons and asks her which she would choose base don her justice. He doesn't really give her time to answer as he keeps asking them but they are slowly showing to reflect his own reservations such as saving one human or stopping all demons, which would she choose.
His final question is choosing between an eternal vow and your feelings at the moment, which one is "justice" to her. She is hesitant to answer, not sure what he means but he draws his sword at her and tells her to answer. She tells him Justice is the one you choose without even having to think about it. The answer that rings in your heart. Rochefort withdraws his sword and laughs and then tells her that's enough, he was only joking with her and it's time for bed. When she leaves to go into the bathroom Rochefort struggled with him self, repeating her words and wondering what to do.
Later on D'Artagnan wonders about Rochefort's words, worried he's being forced to make a decision he doesn't want to. She climbs into bed and Rochefort comes back and tells her to scoot over. Seeing her confusion he says he's sleeping in the bed as well tonight. She's clearly flustered and he asks her what her problem is before climbing in next to her. D'Artagnan is really nervous about having him next to her so she decides to strike up some conversation and ask him if he wants to chat for a bit. He says they can for a little bit.
D'Artagnan decides to ell him about her father's diary. She explains what was in it and the hidden message she found. he asks her why she would tell him this, but D'Artagnan says she wants to help him find the key and was hoping this information would help. When he's silent she asks him if it does help at all. He tells her it doesn't help at all. "Not in the least..." he says as he closes his eyes and let's out a weak laugh.
The next day Richelieu asks Rochefort why he hasn't killed D'Artagnan yet and says, "Didn't I give you an order." Rochefort says that he did, but Richelieu says he should have done it right away. If they take too long then Anne may slip away from them or stop them. Richelieu then asks if Rochefort is gaining feelings for D'Artagnan but Rochefort denies this. he said a soldier like him never had any feelings to begin with and he will carry out any order Richelieu gives him.
Richelieu tells him to bring D'Artagnan here. Surprised Rochefort says there's no need for them to shed blood here and Richelieu tells him they won't kill her here but move her to the tower after she's brought here. He then orders Rochefort to just bring D'Artagnan here. Rochefort leaves to go get D'Artagnan. When he enters the room he tells her Richelieu is calling for her. When she gets up she drops a teacup and it shatters but Rochefort tells her they don't have time to worry about it and takes her from the room.
Rochefort doesn't take D'Artagnan to Richelieu however, he leads her into the woods then tells her to run and go wherever she wants. She's naturally confused and he tells her he's setting her free. She needs to hurry and run but as he tries to leave she chases after him, not sure what's going on. Meanwhile Athos and Porthos are at the tower and split up. D'Artagnan is still chasing Rochefort and grabs him but he smacks her hand away, and tells her not to follow him anymore. Shocked she watched him a moment and tries to keep chasing him when she trips. Just then Porthos finds her. He's relieved she's okay and has her come with him. She doesn't want to leave Rochefort but Porthos tells her to just come along for now.
Elsewhere in the woods Athos runs into Rochefort. He asks Rochefort where D'Artagnan is and tries to gets answers since he doesn't know what Rochefort's intentions are. Rochefort only asks him to look after D'Artagnan and runs off again. Athos is surprised as he watches his teacher run off.
To make matters worse Milady informs Richelieu of Rochefort's betrayal. Needless to say Richelieu is shocked by this and Milady ells him Rochefort let D'Artagnan get away. Richelieu orders her to lock all the students into the prison as hostages. In the woods the hooded man mutters to himself, "Just a little longer, D'Artagnan." The summons demons.
The students were told they were being locked up to protect them from demons but it's clear many of them are skeptical. Planche aslo asks Patrick about D'Artagnan, who she still believes is sick. She wants to know if she'll also be okay and Patrick tells her he will look into it.
Porthos takes D'Artagnan to the secret cabin in the forest. She's trying to explain that Rochefort was helping her but Porthos believes he was attacking her. He tells her what's been going on at the school and then Athos arrives and D'Artagnan is able to explain the misunderstanding with Rochefort. Athos questions why she would side with Richelieu, Rochefort and the demons but D'Artagnan explains that's not the case. Athos is clearly on Anne's side at this point though. Porthos on the other hand doesn't totally trust Anne, thinking this all smells fishy. Apparently Aramis doesn't seem to care either way. Since everyone is at odds Athos suggest he and D'Artagnan share all they know to try and put the pieces of the puzzle together.
Back in Richelieu's office Milady asks for Richelieu to share the necklace with her since Rochefort isn't his right hand man anymore she wants to take his place. She says that the students should draw out D'Artagnan and Athos who will want to rescue them and then they can capture D'Artagnan. Richelieu says he'll share the power with her and that she can be the one to kill D'Artagnan. he asks her if Treville is also fulfilling his orders when there is a knock at the door. he assumes it's Treville but it's actually Rochefort.
Milady is surprised he's returned given the fact he betrayed them. She's berating him for his betrayal thinking he came to ask for forgiveness but Richelieu interrupts her. He draws his sword and ask Rochefort if he's come to die to which Rochefort responds with yes. However, Richelieu says it's a shame to kill him. Milady suggests that they take him hostage and use him since he seems to have a relationship with D'Artagnan. If D'Artagnan comes for him they can execute him together or if she doesn't he can die alone. Either way works for them.
Rochefort wishes they would simply kill him right then but Richelieu says this is his punishment for disobeying him. he tells Milady to have Treville tie Rochefort to the tower door. Either by execution or freezing to death in the snow. Milady taunts Rochefort once Richelieu leaves, asking him if he regrets coming back. In his room Richelieu wonders why Rochefort of all people betrayed him. Why would he rather die then obey his order?
Back at the cabin D'Artagnan, Athos and Porthos are discussing the whole Anne and Richelieu issue. Also they explain how they became demons on the day she arrived at the Academy. They know with the necklace's power they can lift their demon curse. They also come to the conclusion this whole thing between Anne and Richelieu is a personal battle but the Musketeers can't back out. They only know D'Artagnan has the key, though at this point they don't realize it's her.
D'Artagnan tries to tell them that Rochefort is not against them. He's just following Richelieu's orders but doesn't hold a grudge against Anne. Porthos wonders why D'Artagnan is defending Rochefort but Athos says he understands. Listening to her explain Athos, who knows Rochefort wanted to protect her, doesn't doubt her words. Porthos on the other hand is still baffled since Rochefort was the one who locked her up. Aramis finally arrives as well from the school with a message for them from none other then Richelieu. He writes that they have taken Rochefort hostage and they will execute him in front of the tower tomorrow morning unless they bring D'Artagnan before then.
At the tower, Rochefort is chained to the door and Richelieu comes to visit him. he asks him if he's cold and then questions why he won't use his demon powers. Rochefort says he'll die as a human and then explains that while he is loyal to Richelieu that he is not the same man he was so long ago. Rochelieu laughs and pours him a glass of wine but quicly smackes it agaisnt the tower, telling Rochefort he will not stop till he's had his revenge. He says that when D'Artagnan comes to save him he'll pierce her heart then walks off laughing. Rochefort tugs at his chains and mutters that no one will come to save him, D'Artagnan won't come for him and then he laughs.
At the cabin D'Artagnan wants to save Rochefort but Athos tells her they don't know enough yet. Porthos thinks it's a trap but Aramis says that there must be a reason D'Artagnan trusts Rochefort and he did save her. Porthos says it could have all been part of his plan and he faked his betrayal then turns it around on Aramis and says that speaking of betrayal Aramis did betray them to the principle. Porthos starts coming at Aramis wanting answers but Athos steps in and realizes they probably should discuss this. he apologizes to D'Artagnan and says they have some things to discuss for a moment so D'Artagnan steps out for some air so they can have some time.
Once outside she starts heading for the tower, not about to wait for the Musketeers to just stop her from going. She can't abandon Rochefort after all he's one for her so she readies her sword and sets off for the tower. When she arrives she finds Rochefort still chained to it, freezing. Surprised he asks her why she came and she said she got the message that he was here. He asks her again why she came And D'Artagnan says she came to save him. he wonders why she didn't stay with Athos where it was safe. He tries to tell her to hurry and leave but D'Artagnan says she won't leave without him. She can't just abandon him especially when he could have done the same so many times and didn't. She will not leave him here. This is the path she choose to walk.
Rochefort is surprised by her but soon they hear the flap of wings and demons appear. She manages to defeat one but Rochefort warns her there's more. just as one is about to attack her he somehow breaks his chains and defend her, killing the demon. Once the demons are defeated Richelieu arrives. he knew D'Artagnan would come for Rochefort and now that he has her he won't let her escape. He draws his sword and attacks an D'Artagnan tries to fight him on her own. Richelieu is clearly too strong for her and he disarms her, ready to slash her, however Rochefort draws his own sword and disarms Richelieu. This is the first time he'd ever raised hiss word against him and Richelieu is shocked which gives Rochefort and D'Artagnan a moment to escape.
While our lovers are fleeing the Musketeers arrive and Athos tells D'Artagnan to hurry and get away. Even with his objective gone Richelieu tells the musketeers he has other hostages besides Rochefort, the students. If they don't bring D'Artagnan to him he'll kill them.
Milady also happened to be nearby and gives chase to D'Artagnan and Rochefort, not about to let her chance slip away. Unfortunately D'Artagnan and Rochefort are being attacked by more demons and they try to fight them off together. Rochefort is still pretty weak from being out in the cold so he's relying on D'Artagnan to fight with him. When Milady sees them all she can think about is getting the necklace and tries to grab D'Artagnan. The demons however don't seem to distinguish between friend and foe and one attacks Milady. Since the demons are distracted Rochefort grabs D'Artagnan an runs, leaving Milady to her grim fate. D'Artagnan screams and says they can't leave Milady but Rochefort tells her to shut up and come.
They make it back to the secret cabin hideout and D'Artagnan is still screaming about what happened to Milady, asking why Rochefort just left her there. He could have transformed into a demon and slayed all the other demons easily. He tells her once more to shut up but she keeps asking him why. He tells her once more to shut up before kissing her.
"Just shut up for a moment." he sighs and then explains that other than the demons they most likely have Richelieu's men looking for them an transforming would draw more attention to them. His priority was to protect her and escape. Also Milady only saw her as the thing she needed to get the necklace and to him that made her no different than the demons outside.
After explaining he tells her he's leaving since he doesn't believe he's allowed to be here. He was working with Richelieu and he did cause a lot of what's happening but she convinces him to stay, saying the Musketeers think of him as an ally as well. he laughs and says she's a stubborn person, never listening to him. He agrees to stay. as they sit in the cabin she's watching him, wondering about the kiss and asks him about it. He laughs he asks her to come over to him, pulling her close. he says he did it to shut her up since she wouldn't stop asking. She's constantly badgering him though he doesn't mind it so much.

Rochefort: Route Synopsis Part 3
Several days pass with D'Artagnan in prison when Rochefort arrives. He informs her that he's going Demon Hunting under Richelieu's orders as a lot of rumors are spreading among the students so they are taking precautions. D'Artagnan asks Rochefort if he plans to capture the Musketeers as well but he tells her he was not ordered to. D'Artagnan is still confused why she's being locked up just because she had a difference of opinion with Richelieu. it's not like she rejected his way of thinking entirely. Rochefort tells her everyone has their own sense of justice in their hearts and they all believe their own opinion is the right one. She questions if he doesn't also have his own sense of justice but he tells her he, however, is different in that he is simply following every order given to him by Richelieu. He does not need heart or opinions to do his job.
Back at school the Musketeers are trying to form a plan to find out what Richelieu and Rochefort are planning but then Porthos come sup and says he hasn't seen D'Artagnan at all. Everyone else starts to realize they haven't seen D'Artagnan for a few days as well and Constantine wonders if perhaps she changed her mind about going to the dance with him.
The party is getting close to starting and everyone is excited. That night D'artagnan is in her cell when she hears footsteps. it's Rochefort who has been informed by Patrick that she has not been eating. When he asks her why she tells him she's not trying to be rebellious or anything she just lost her appetite. Rochefort says he doesn't want her excuses and tells her to come over to him, starting to stuff food in her mouth.
D'Artagnan asks if Rochefort is going to the dance but he tells her he has no interest in such foolish things. She admits that she was actually looking forward to it. He suddenly tells her not to smile with such a sad expression and then takes her hand and pulls her close. He asks her if she wanted to dance, then says he will dance with her if she wants.
As he holds her close he notices how cold her body is then tells her he will dance with her all she wants. As they dance she asks if she can at least talk to Treville but Rochefort says he won't let her meet with Treville no matter what and he won't tell her why. Rochefort tells her to eat properly and she starts to realize that despite his cold attitude he still comes to see her. Patrick should be enough to look after her but Rochefort still makes time to visit her.
The following day Patrick checks in on D'Artagnan and they chat a little. meanwhile Anne meets with a mysterious hooded man and she asks him where D'Artagnan went. The man tells her D'Artagnan has been taken by the enemy but it shouldn't change their objective.
Back at the prison Rochefort comes to visit D'Artagnan. She asks him if he will tell her more about his past and he says that Richelieu would have already told her the important parts. She insists that while she has the basic story she's more curious about him and he tries to deterher interest by saying Richelieu already said the things she should care about. She keeps insisting so he agree.
He tells her he was the son of a count and joined the imperial army 300 years ago. He had impressed Richelieu with his sword skills and was made a captain which resulted in him leading men who were mostly older than he was. He tells her he was grateful to Richelieu for giving him a role in the war and also admired his love for his country, saying he truly thought of him as a great man. Yet Richelieu was betrayed by Anne an died back then and he had been powerless to stop it. This is why this time he will be sure Richelieu's goals are met. he will do anything it takes for Richelieu.
D'Artagnan asks him if he would give his life if Richelieu asks for it and Rochefort tells her yes, saying it's the proof of his loyalty to Richelieu. She can't help but pity him though and says that his devotion and loyalty are beautiful things but what about his own life? He tells her that throwing away his personal life is his life now and that he choose to walk this path with Richelieu. D'Artagnan says that he should treasure himself more but he doesn't respond. Back at school Rochefort is sitting alone in his class when Milady comes to see him. She notice that he's been disappearing alot during his free time. Then says Patrick says Rochefort has been going to the prison, and asks if he's going to see D'Artagnan. He says that keeping an eye on her is part of his job but Milady questions if he's really keeping an eye on her because she holds the key or if it's for other reasons. He explains there's no other reason but she's not convinced even after asking him again. he finally tells Milady to leave and she laughs and leaves it at that.
At school Planche asks Treville where D'Artagan is and he tells her D'Artagan has taken ill and can't be around any of the students for right now.
When Rochefort goes to visit D'Artagnan again she's asleep and doesn't respond when he calls out to her. Worried he opened the cell door and enters, checking her and realizing she's just asleep. He's relieved she's still alive since Patrick said she still hasn't been eating. Still he notices it's cold in the cell and her body is cold so he pulls her close and wraps her in a blanket.
As he holds her close he asks why, why did she choose to be honest with her feelings and end up in prison? Why didn't she just lie about her doubts in Richelieu? Why did she ask him to treasure himself? He pulls her closer and then asks himself why he's hugging her like this and wanting to let her out the moment she says she'll join them.
When D'Artagnan wakes up she finds herself wrapped in a blanket and then notices Rochefort is there. When she asks him what he's doing there he tells her hes making sure she stays alive for Richelieu. Patrick also made her more food and he tells her to eat it, though he won't force her this time. However, he's not leaving till she finishes all of it. She finally does as he asks and starts to eat, finding she was pretty hungry since she hadn't eaten for days. Rochefort is pleased she seems to have gotten her appetite back.
Back at school Athos asks Porthos about D'Artagnan. Porthos tells him treville told them she was ill but Athos questions if that's the truth. Aramis says that even if it weren't no one seems to know where she is. They aren't sure if the demons and the teachers are working together. Porthos of course what's to know what the hell they're supposed to do since they only have 10 days till the Opportunity day. He doesn't think D'Artagnan is working with the demons and must be a prisoner and can't just sit around talking about it, needing to go out and see if he can find anything out. Aramis follows him. Athos questions if they are really doing the right thing and feels there's a lot thy still don't know.
After a few days pass Patrick comes to D'Artagnan and gives her a book from her father. He doesn't remember alot about her father but says that Castlemore had asked him to give her this book should she ever come to the Academy. She starts to flip through it, thinking it would be an astronomy book but it's nothing like that. Instead it's full of red highlights everywhere. The message she gets from it is Get off the island. The most important thing is not a thing. Should the door ever be opened someone dear will lose her life.
Confused by this she reads over the book, not sure what this means but it's all she has left of her father. She starts to cry but then hears the door to the cell open and a hooded man enters. He pulls out a knife and starts to attack her. even as she asks him what he's doing the hooded man doesn't speak and keeps attacking her. D'Artagnan dodges and in her panic she calls for Rochefort. Rochefort runs to her cell and calls out to her, seeing he hooded man. he draws his sword and begins attacking the man who quickly snatches the diary from D'Artagnan and flees. Rochefort chases after the man but he escapes and D'artagnan is left alone for a while, saddened that the only thing she had left of her father was stolen.
When Rochefort returns he asks if she's alright. She says she had called out to him many times on impulse. She can't tell him though what the diary was since she can't let the information reach Richelieu. Rochefort decided to move her to his room, saying it's too dangerous for her alone in that cell. He tells her this is just a precaution and she shouldn't try to escape or get into any trouble while she's here.
Despite his cold words and locking the door from the outside he's actually really worried about her. When Milady sees him and questions him about moving D'Artagnan from the prison he tells her he did it too keep her out of trouble since she'd been attacked in the prison. Milady wonders what Richelieu would think and Rochefort aid this was his own decision and not an direct order from Richelieu. Milady wonders if that's the case then laughs an tells him she's sure it was the right decision. She tries to tease him and he smacks her hand away as usual, not amused by her teasing. as she's leaving he asks her if she's keeping an eye on Treville. She says not to worry and then leaves.
At school Planche gives Treville some grapes for D'Artagnan. As Treville is leaving the school Rochefort calls out to him, asking where he's going. Treville says he's taking a present to D'Artagnan from one of her classmates. Rochefort explains D'Artagnan is not in her room and she's been moved elsewhere under Rochefort's orders. Rochefort says he will take the present o D'Artagnan and Treville tells him to let D'Artagnan know they are from Planche.
D'Artagnan is alone in Rochefort's room trying to keep herself occupied but she ends up dropping a bunch of books. The door suddenly opens and Rochefort comes in asking her what happened. He sees the mess and tells her not to bother with it then asks if she likes grapes before holding out the present from Planche. she's worried about D'Artagnan still believing she's sick and hopes she recovers soon.
D'Artagnan also feels bad for basically taking over his room and asks him to sleep there but he says no. She says it's not right if he has nowhere to sleep but he says this is part of his job. She then suggests he sleep in her room but Rochefort laughs and says the students will think he's a pervert if he does that. She tries to argue more and he finally gives in and says he'll stay in his room since he's tired of hearing her argue with him. Much to her surprise he starts to change right in front of her and tells her not to be too nosey about his activities.
Despite his protests she does ask him about the goings on around school regarding the demons and Rochefort answers he questions. he then sets down a chessboard. He remembers her asking him to play a card game before but he will play this with her and teach her how to play.
They spend the whole day playing and as the evening comes Rochefort wins yet another game making the score 33 to 0 in his favor. She jokes that at this rate she could play him a hundred times and he'd still win and then she wonders if he's getting bored. He still patiently explained the rules and went over things step by step with her though, even if he was as strict as ever. She thinks to herself how unbelievable it is to be playing a game with Rochefort and then wonders if perhaps things have changed a little between them.
In Richelieu's office Milady comes to question Richeleiu about Rochefort, saying she thinks Rochefort is getting too close to D'Artagnan. However, Richelieu has the utmost faith in Rochefort and will not doubt his loyalty.
Back in Rochefort's room they are getting ready for bed and D'Artagnan says they share the bed. Rochefort sighs and asks her if she's even aware of what she's suggesting then says he will sleep on the sofa. Since she knows he won't change his mind she gives him a pillow and a fluffy blanket, saying she wants him to be sure to sleep well. This makes him laugh.
As they are getting ready for bed Rochefort asks D'Artagnan if she remembers her previous life. She is confused and admits she doesn't know but then asks him about his previous life. He tells her that the sapphire ring he received was from Richelieu as a medal 300 years ago. she's confused because he seems to have the same sapphire ring now but he explains he later received the ring again after being reincarnated. He goes to his nightstand and takes out the ring, saying this time it symbolizes his loyalty to Richelieu. D'Artagnan thinks the ring is setting too many restrictions on him though since things are not the same as they were 300 years ago and it's like he's being trapped by the past. Catching herself she apoloizes for being cheeky again but Rochefort just laughs and says she's really a lot of trouble.
Later on while she's half asleep she thinks she can feel Rochefort petting her hair but eventually drifts off again.

Rochefort: Route Synopsis Part 2
The day after the Halloween party D'Artagnan finally sees Richelieu in the hallway though up till now she's only known him as that old guy she met at the church. She now discovers he's in fact the principle of the school. She's surprised but now that she knows who he is she thinks she can finally speak properly with him.
After school Planche comes to D'Artagnan and returns her sword to her from Rochefort though she doesn't seem to remember when he would have even given it to him. Confused she tries to figure out why he had her sword but her thoughts are interrupted when Treville tells her she's been called to the principle's office.
She heads to the Principle's office and enters, and spills everything to Richelieu. She tells him about what happened with her father and that she's suspicious of Rochefort. Richelieu tells her that her father was once a teacher at a school but he suddenly disappeared. He then thanks her for telling him and says he will help her find out the truth and that she should rely on him and not the Musketeers from now on. He also tells her that the demons have been seen around the school and are likely being controlled by someone who may be trying to get a hold of whatever her father knew about. he also asks her about Anne but at this point D'Artagnan doesn't know anyone by that name.
That night D'Artagnan takes a walk out on the beach where she finds Rochefort sitting and drinking alone. When he sees her he asks her to sit with him. After a moment D'Artagnan admits to having told Richelieu about her suspicions about Rochefort. He laughs and says he doesn't meet many people who so honestly confess like her. Then he tells her all she needs to do now if wait for Richelieu to give her more information.
Rochefort finally laughs and asks her how it feels to sit and watch the sea with someone who might have killed her father. She notices that while he is as curt as usual he seems sad and she answers that she doesn't think of it that way. she is just sitting watching the sea with her teacher since she doesn't know what the truth is yet. He's amused by her response, saying she's an odd but honest person. They talk a little about how she trains on the beach with Treville and then Rochefort looks out at the ocean sad, saying he won't run from the investigation, or rather he can't. However he says he didn't have any part with the demons who killed her father.
A few days later Richelieu and Rochefort are talking. Apparently they discover that a sword may be needed to open Buckingham tower. Richelieu thinks perhaps D'Artagnan's sword is the key but Rochefort informs him every Chevalier sword fits the slot and D'Artagnan's sword is no different from any other so they need something else. Rochefort also says that D'Artagnan has been spending less and less time from the Musketeers so it's apparent she trusts Richelieu more than them at this time. Richelieu says that though Castlemore hide the key from them D'Artagnan will be the one to reveal it to them. He's also using her to raw out Anne. Rochefort agrees and says that if D'Artagnan has the key then Anne will be sure to reveal herself to her eventually.
Elsewhere Anne and Louis are speaking about D'Artagnan. it's clear she's been taken into Richelieu's fold and they cannot trust her. she says she'll need to control the Musketeers directly however Louis does not agree with this though he has little choice now as he's related to what happened to Castlemore. Later that night Anne reveals herself to Athos and asks for his help. she reveals herself as Anne the Queen of France and wife to King Louis. She tells Athos that he and Musketeers served her in a previous life though he finds it hard to believe. She also knows about his an the other Musketeer's demon curse which makes him more apt to believe her. She tells Athos about the diamond necklace locked in Buckingham tower and how it can grant great power to whoever has it. She tells him Richelieu seeks to gain this power and she needs his power to help her stop Richelieu.
The following day at school appears normal except Porthos comes up to D'Artagnan rather awkwardly before suddenly asking to inspect her bag. he starts to dog around in her bag before getting smacked by Planche who calls him a pervert. Bonacieux also joins in and says that Porthos' true nature has shown. Flustered Porthos tries to defend himself, saying he wasn't doing it for dirty reasons. The other two only stare at him accusingly so Porthos gives up, retreating back to the student council to report to Aramis and Athos. Since even Porthos who's a classmate of D'Artagnan had no luck Athos decides he'll ask her directly.
Athos meets D'Artagnan in the hallway and bluntly asks here, "Where's the key?" Confused she asks him what Key but he then says the key she got from her father. D'Artagnan isn't aware of any key and says she knows nothing about it. Athos doesn't believe her obviously and asks her again to stop hiding it. Flustered she wonders where this was coming from and doesn't know what to do when the school bell rings. Athos sighs and says he will let her go for now but he will come speak with her about it again.
Later that night it's raining and D'Artagnan is trying to find Rochefort, who happens to be in an empty classroom. Apparently Richelieu informed her that Rochefort didn't have anything to do with her father's death so she came to apologize to him. She says she's come to apologize to him since she now knows that he was not the one who killed her father. he snorts and asks her if Richelieu told her and she says yes. he asks her if she's done accusing him now and she apologizes again. She asks him if he hates her and he smiles and asks her why she wants to know. She says because she had been accusing him of something he didn't do. He bluntly tells her he doesn't like her. He told her over and over again he was not the one who killed her father but she kept accusing him just because the ring happened t be his. Also she was always pestering him for the truth however he didn't mind her accusations and smiles at her. he then tells her she should get back to her room. After she leaves he smiled again and laughs to himself.
The next evening D'Artagnan heads to the billiards room and bumps into Constantine who says she's looking lovely this evening. They talk about her victory in her duels against Aramis and Porthos and he asks her if she is going to challenge Athos too. As they are talking Constantine mutters softly how cute she is.
The next day school D'Artagnan runs into Planche who explains every December there's an anniversary dance and everyone goes to the party. Bonacieux also shows up and he and Planche start to "fangirl" over everyone all dressed up. Bonacieux is thinking all the teachers and Athos-senpai will look so stunning while Planche is more concerned over Aramis-sama. Planche and Bonacieux are super excited but D'Artagnan doesn't have much interest in it. After they leave Constantine runs up to her an asks her if she's going to the dance and tells her it's an amazing event and it usually snows and makes the whole evening magical. he then takes a deep breath and asks her very formally if she would go to the dance with him. She agrees, much to his surprise but they don't get to talk much more when the school bell rings.
After school in the hallway Athos approaches her again and drags her to the tower. he orders her to put her sword into the slot in the door. Confused by all this and getting no explanation from Athos as he continually orders her to put her sword into the door she refuses. Athos accuses her of being controlled by Richelieu and asks her why she's been avoiding them and going to the principle more. He then tells her that she is being deceived by Richelieu and Rochefort. However D'Artagnan says that Rochefort is innocent. Athos tells her to open her eyes and see the truth but D'Artagnan refuses to believe that at least Rochefort is guilty and the principle has actually been listening to her and telling her things rather then keeping it a secret from her. Athos gets frustrated and shouts at her but realizes that trying to get her to understand is pointless and gives up and leaves.
In the woods Rochefort was listening in and realizes that D'Artagnan may no longer be the way to reach Anne as it seems Anne has gone straight to the Musketeers. later that evening D'Artagnan is on her way t see Rochefort to return a book to him. However she gets there in time to see Milady-sensei entering his room. In the room Milady attempts to seduce Rochefort but it doesn't seem to work as he keeps telling her to get away from him, smacking her hand away. She finally asks him about the "key" and for him to share the treasure with her. He refuses and so milady gets angry, saying he's a pawn to Richelieu but Rochefort says everyone is a pawn to that man even him. Before they can talk much more he tells her to be quiet, sensing someone out side the door. However when he checks there's no one there, as D'Artagnan has already run back to her dorm.
The following day after school D'Artagnan goes to Rochefort's class to return the book for real this time. When she comes in he asks why she's there after school and she tells him she came to return the book. He tells her to put it on his desk but then realizes it looks like she wants to say something so he asks her what's on her mind. She's hesitant at first and he tells her to hurry up before she blurts out she meant to return it to him last night but she saw Milady going to his room so she went back to the dorm. When he asks her why she didn't just return it then she says she didn't want to interrupt them and when he asks her to clarify she says she didn't want to interrupt their "private time". He laughs and tells her that it's a misunderstanding and they were discussing work, not the dirty things she's thinking.
She's relieved for some reasons and then asks him if he's finished with work. he says he almost is and so she asks him if he wants to play card games with her but Rochefort tells her he won't. she thinks to herself that playing a game with him is just a dream that won't happen. as she's thinking this Rochefort calls her name and then tells her to just leave everything to Richelieu.
That night D'Artagnan goes to Buckingham tower curious about the door since her sword fits in the slot. Though it doesn't do anything and she wonders about the "key" everyone is talking about. As she's pondering she hears the flapping of wings and suddenly demons appear to attack her. This time the Musketeers are not there to save her so she tries to fight them alone. She's barely able to block some of their attacks and finds herself surrounded when someone kills a demon. she sees Rochefort who tells her to pick up her sword. Since there's too many demons Rochefort ends up transforming in front of her and kills all the demons easily.
D'Artagnan is surprised but it's clear Rochefort just saved her, however the Musketeers finally arrive and all they see is a demon Rochefort with D'Artagnan. Rochefort tries to keep the Musketeers back but they assume he's an enemy despite D'Artagnan trying to explain it's a misunderstanding but before she can they all transform as well. The Musketeers attack Rochefort but he's clearly stronger then they are, managing to freeze them in place before fleeing with D'Artagnan. When the Musketeers are able to move they realize the demon fled but then realize that D'Artagnan is missing as well and they discuss what happened, thinking that D'Artagnan is being held prisoner by the demons.
Back at the school D'Artagnan finds herself in the principles office, still shocked after all that happened. she asks Richelieu is he is also a demon and demands to know hat is going on. Richelieu assure her that while they kept this from her everything else he told her was the truth, about her father and about Rochefort. He then admits that his true objective is Anne and hat she is the reason they became demons. Rochefort is reluctant to reveal the truth but Richelieu says they cannot expect D'Artagnan to believe them any further unless they explain.
Richelieu explains that 300 years ago during the reign of Louis XIII he was the prime minister and cardinal of France. At that time they were locked in a war with the House of Habsburg and so they attempted to form an alliance with England. The negotiations went sour and another war erupted. The duke of Buckingham that lead the English fleet was also Anne's lover. While Richelieu and Rochefort fought to protect France, Anne sold them out to England an gave the diamond necklace Louis had given her to the duke of Buckingham, knowing it held great power.
When Rochefort and Richelieu tried to get the necklace back it enraged Anne and she had them and their families killed. Unable to forgive this betrayal, Richelieu became a demon and waited for everyone related to the incident to be reincarnated. Now after 300 years he's reincarnated to get his revenge on Anne. On December 31st the opportunity day the demons power will be released and allow Anne to leave the island. he wants to settle things before then and knows Anne wishes to kill him as well in order to erase everyone else connected to this. Richelieu says that's why they need her help to open the tower as quickly as they can since she can help them find the key her father stole all those years ago.
D'Artagnan is shocked upon hearing all this and can understand Richelieu's anger towards Anne. Still she doesn't want them to kill each other. On the way back to the dorm Rochefort calls out to her. he asks her what she thinks about what Richelieu told her. After hesitating she explains she can understand why Richelieu is angry still she doesn't want more blood to be shed. She feels maybe it's better they never find the key since the current Anne is no longer the Queen of France. Rochefort listens to her before saying he has no choice and grabs her, saying he's doing as Richelieu and they can't allow her to run around freely now that she knows everything. He then throws her into prison, telling her he was ordered to do this by Richelieu if she doubted him at all. They've waited too long for this and won't be stopped by her. She calls him a demon for doing this to her but he just laughs and says he is in fact a demon and it's thanks to that she's alive right now. As he leaves he tells her to enjoy the party's music from her cell.
At the school rumors are flying about demon sightings among the students.

Rochefort: Route Synopsis Part 1
Now to move on to teachers and we'll start with the fencing instructor Rochefort. Voiced by Hiroki Takahashi.
Rochefort is the very rude and harsh fencing Instructor for Chevalier Academy and supervisor to the Musketeers. Since the ring D'Artagnan found with her father is Rochefort's it's clear he's involved in the events surrounding D'Artagnan's father's death. Despite his harsh nature he's devoted to the headmaster Richelieu and is an excellent swordsman. While he's cruel and harsh to D'Artagnan at first he starts to show more sides of himself rather than the usual cold exterior.
So after D'Artagnan's father dies she heads off to Chevalier Academy with only the help of Treville and a mysterious sapphire ring she found with her father that Treville tells her isn't his. Little did she know the day her father died he was visited by none other than Rochefort. School life for D'Artagnan carries on normally. She has to deliver a letter to Athos, meets Aramis in the hall when she drops the letter and is in the same class as Porthos. it is then she realizes she'll need the Musketeers help and to do that she must duel them.
Her first official run in with Rochefort takes place on her second day of school. After meeting her classmates and bumping into Athos in the hallway she heads off to class where she has fencing class with Rochefort. While he's more or less a total jerk to her she has to admire his strength since he is a famous skilled swordsman. D'Artagnan isn't very skilled at first and is easily disarmed by Rochefort and then falls back when she dodges an attack from him. However he's interrupted in his "lesson" by Porthos who thinks that Rochefort is taking it too far. This leads them into a sword match and D'Artagnan realizes how strong they both are.
After the match D'Artagnan goes to ask Porthos is he's okay but he laughs it off, saying it's nothing. He also says he didn't like how Rochefort was "teaching" her and it wasn't like he was sticking up for her or anything. That night D'Artagnan has fencing lessons with treville on the beach since she needs to get stronger to beat the Musketeers. After going back to her room she can't sleep so she decides to take a walk. It's then she sees Rochefort in the hallways and he asks her what she's doing out here. D'Artagnan is a little at a loss and he tells her to hurry back to her room.
However, after seeing his fighting today she knows he's very skilled and she wants to be strong like him so, summoning her courage, asks him to teach her to fight like him. He tells her rather rudely he doesn't have time for stupid things like that so she grabs onto him and begs. He smacks her hand away and orders her to go back to her room and leaves. Not to be deterred she follows him (Like a true MC stalker <3).
He realizes she's following him he asks her what she thinks she's doing. She says she won't give up and he again tells her he won't train her and she should go back to her room. They continue on all the way back to his room. Since she won't seem to give up he tells her he has no intention of training anyone else personally besides the Musketeers. "Do you understand now? Hurry back to your room." As he's telling her off she grabs onto him and ends up pushing him to the ground. D'Artagnan isn't about to let him brush her off and asks again for him to train her.
Unaware she's pretty much on top of him on the ground she continues to beg him to train her. Slightly flustered he tells her he gets it and she doesn't have to keep shouting. After a long pause he says he'll train her.
D'Artagnan goes to school the next day like usual and ends up needing to go to the Student Council office to speak with the Musketeers. In the hall that evening Rochefort and Treville speak about D'Artagnan and even Constantine's name comes up. Basically Rochefort doesn't trust Treville and wants to know his intentions regarding D'Artagnan since it seems like he's helpign her stick her nose in things she shouldn't be and Treville brushes it off saying he's just helping his student.
meanwhile Constantine, having been enamored with D'Artagnan whens eh came to the student council room, goes to speak with D'Artagnan. he offers to help her practice her swordplay an they go out to the wood behind the school. Things are going well and Constantine is thinking how adorable she is when they hear wings flapping and a dark shadow through the trees. Startled Constantine bolts and tells D'Artagnan to hurry and follow him but by the time he realizes she's not with him he's lost her. He rushes to the Musketeers an tells them D'Artagnan is in trouble.
Meanwhile in the woods D'Artagnan sees one of the black demons like the one that killed her father, and Rochefort. Startled and confused she tries to hurry away. She ends up bumping in to Athos who came to look for her. He wants to know why he was out in the woods when it's forbidden for students to be out there. She tells him it's because she wanted to practice with her fencing more. While he understands her desire to get better she needs to be more careful. Since she's fortunately okay this time he lets it go an escorts her back to the dorm.
At school the next day she learns they have exams coming up in a few weeks and also that Aramis and Athos are the top of the school in exams scores while Porthos is generally at the bottom. Afterwards D'Artagnan decides she needs to speak with the principle. She knocks but gets no answer so she opens the door to find Rochefort who asks what she's doing there. When she says she came to speak to the principle Rochefort grabs her roughly and says no students except for the Musketeers are allowed to see him. Richelieu asks what the commotion is but D'artagnan an't see him since Rochefort is holding her head down. Rochefort apologizes for the interruption and says he will remove this rude upstart. When D'Artagnan attempts to speak he silences her.
Since Rochefort was being so rough with her, forcing her to the ground to bow to Richelieu and such she ends up dropping the sapphire ring. he sees the ring but before he can say anything D'Artagnan hurries to pick it up and leave. Since he seems she won't get anything from the Principle as far as information she knows she'll have to rely on the Musketeers. In the courtyard Constantine apologizes for basically leaving her in the woods. They are then joined my Milady who speaks with D'Artagnan a moment before dragging Constantine away for cleaning duty.
On the way back to the dorm someone calls out to her an she turns to see Rochefort. He asks her about the ring and then says it's his and he wants it back. Naturally this shocks her since she found it on her father's body when he was killed. Rochefort doesn't understand her hesitation and keeps telling her to give it back. When she doesn't respond he grabs her and demands she give it to him.
D'Artagnan snaps out of her shock and asks if he's sure the ring is his. he says of course it is and wonders how she got it. She says she found it on her father when he was killed. Rochefort is a bit shocked and asks her if her father is Castlemore. This sets D'Artagnan off she she asks him why he killed her father. Rochefort pushes her away and tells her he was not the one who killed her father. She grabs onto him, demanding answers and he tells her he didn't kill her father however he had gone to visit him that day an left the ring with him. Shrugging her off he explains he had gone to get back a key that Castlemore had taken and he had till the end of the day to give it back.
Rochefort gets rather violent and asks D'Artagnan if she knows where the key is and to tell him where it is. grabbing her she keeps asking when she screams she doesn't know what he's talking about. Understanding she must not be aware he curses and lets her go. Later he goes to Richelieu and tells him that D'Artagnan is Castlemore's daughter. She doesn't seem to know anything about the key but they decide to keep an eye on her all the same.
That night D'Artagnan is walked in on in the shower by Porthos. (I love this part.)
The following day is "Let's stalk Aramis day" so D'Artagnan follows him around to try and find his weakness and ends up challenging him to a duel. Afterwards she goes to Buckingham tower behind the school and attempts to open the door but it's sealed shut. Defeated she goes to the old church and sees Richelieu there.
The duel with Aramis comes and goes with D'Artagnan having defeated him and gained his loyalty to her cause. Planche of course is pissed off cause her Aramis-sama was defeated by her and she starts acting cold towards D'Artagnan. The girls go out to the woods to chat and Planche is being a jealous fangirl when they are attacked by demons. D'Artagnan defends her and gives Planche time to escape and go get help. She is saved then by Aramis who goes into his demon form though at this time she can't tell what's going on since she passes out shortly after. She wakes up in Aramis' room and it taken to Athos where she explains what happened. They all agree to keep quiet about the demons for now till they know more and swear D'Artagnan to secrecy about it before Porthos and Aramis' bickering lightens the mood and they all share a laugh.
The next day Planche also apologizes to D'Artagna and thanks her for saving her though she won't lose to her in regards to Aramis-sama but the pair run to class together. That night D'Artagnan sees Rochefort in the hallway leaving his room but is caught by Athos. Regardless she sneaks into Rochefort's room looking for the ring he took back and also any clue about her father. Athos is at a loss and tries to stop her when they hear Rochefort coming back. he drags her out of the room ad they flee before they are caught. Athos doesn't know what she's doing but since she didn't take anything he'll keep quiet for now however he's going to escort her back to the dorm.
At school the next day she spends time with Aramis in the greenhouse and he also offers to help he train. Porthos bumps into her on her way back to the dorm and she ends up challenging him to a duel, since he was totally waiting for her to ask him. She's restless though and can't sit still in her room so she goes for a walk in the gardens where she meets Rochefort. he asks her what she's doing out there, thinking she has a nasty habit of being places she shouldn't. Seeing her face he asks if she's scared of him. she doesn't answer so he grabs her and asks her to come with him however she refuses. He's surprised when she begins to bombard him with questions such as what did her father steal from the academy? What is he planning by controlling the demons since she saw him? She says he he won't come clean with her she'll refuse to speak with him. Despite her tough act he knows she's scared.
He tells her to draw her sword. He knows she's been training with Treville and others so this will only be once so he can fulfill his promise to give her a personal lesson. She says she understands since she wants to get stronger any way she can. She is scared of him but admires his strength and how honest he is when he fights with a sword. He laughs as he draws his own sword and begins the lesson. All through the lesson he's rather harsh with her, telling her when she's not responding correctly or when she's too slow.
The lesson ends and Rochefort tells her she's weak. She is too distracted by her surroundings. A sword fight is both a physical and psychological battle and those who can read their opponents properly will win. With the lesson over he tells her to hurry back to the dorm. She thanks him since even though he was harsh with her he did give her a lot of good advice she takes to heart.
Exams come and D'Artagnan actually does well on hers, unlike Porthos. However this also means it's time for their duel. D'Artagnan uses the lessons that Rochefort explained to her in order to win against him and gets a second Musketeer on her side.
The day they get their exams scores D'Artagnan meets Aramis at Buckingham tower in the evening for training. Things are going well when they hear flapping so Aramis goes into the woods to check it out. D'Artagnan waits at the tower but a demon suddenly appears and attacks her. D'Artagnan attempts to fight it but things are not going well. Then suddenly Rochefort shows up and slays the demon. Naturally this confuses D'Artagnan since she was sure Rochefort was the one allied with the demons. When she asks him about it he basically gives her nothing and brushes off her questions, saying for her to come back to the school with him. Despite her suspicions about him he did save her so she thanks him. He tells her it would be troublesome if she died since she's a student and it's his duty to protect his students. He then leaves an Aramis comes running back to see if she's okay then takes her back to the dorm. D'Artagnan is still unsure about Rochefort and thinks about him as they go.
Training continues with both Porthos and Aramis to prep her for her duel against Athos since it's clear to them she intends to challenge and defeat them all. Some days later Rochefort confronts D'Artagnan on her way back to the dorm. he knows she's been training with both Aramis and Porthos and wonders what her intentions are by gathering the Musketeers to her side. Tossing his own words back in his face she says there's no reason to tell him and then excuses herself. He doesn't like this tough and grabs her, telling her to wait.
She asks him to let her go but he won't till she answers him. So she says that she'll tell him the truth if he will as well. he refuses so she says she's doing this because he won't tell her anything. it's hard to seek the truth out on her own so she needs help. Letting her go he says she's foolish, and that there's no way she could defeat Athos anyways. He's seen her fight and Athos is clearly out of her league. He says he's going to be the witness at their duel if Athos accepts just so he can see her drown in despair as she fails. With that he leaves.
Later at school D'Artagnan is in the courtyard and runs into Patrick who asks if she's going to the Halloween party on the beach. D'Artagnan decides not to go hang out in an empty classroom thinking. Rochefort ends up coming in and asks her the usual "What are you doing here?". he's surprised she's not down with the rest of the students enjoying the party. He says she shouldn't be hanging around here and then goes to leave when she stops him. She asks him how long ago he started fencing since she needs to know how long she should spend before she's that strong. His response startles her since he says "300 years ago" She's confused and tries to get him to clarify but he makes little sense before asking her how she was able to recover after losing someone important to her. She's surprised by this and he continues that he expected her to be in despair but now he wonders if she's forgotten about her father. She's at a loss as he says he sees her enjoying school and acting as if nothing is wrong so she must not care anymore. D'Artagnan is dumbfounded an can't even respond to his words and just stares. Rochefort asks her what she's thinking and she says her father's death has haunted her day and night but she must be strong and discover the truth. She can't stop moving forward. Then she asks him if he can even understand human emotions. There's no way she can forget her father or what happened but she can't let herself just quit. Those words stick with him and he tells her he understands and then leaves.
As he walks back to the dorms he thinks on her words, "...can't understand human emotions...." He laughs and seems to regain his composure before proceeding.
