I love Kenta and Ryuga’s relationship in Beyblade Metal Fury. In this scene, Kenta asks why L-Drago was glowing and Ryuga responds with the phrase “a greater power is calling it”. 

I, however, am more interested in the physical contact between the two. Ryuga didn’t even flinch/stutter when Kenta grabbed onto him. This shows how far they’ve both come. Kenta isn’t afraid to touch Ryuga, and although he pushes him off later, Ryuga wasn’t as phased by Kenta. 

I really like the direction that the creators took with Ryuga’s character development, and this scene made me so happy. Not only for Kenta’s bravery, but for Ryuga’s moral character.

i’m a liar i said i wasn’t going to yell about beyburst on this blog anymore but, i thought that maybe it would be helpful to write a little about what i like and don’t like about it (i’m only on s2)? idk to just give people who haven’t watched it a little peek of what it’s about… super vaguely lol.

even though the battling style is different, at least it’s a little more realistic…? like the battles are quick since they’re in such a small stadium

burst system is interesting

i like a lot of the characters, like the humor is good and there are good friendships and character development (not necessarily relating to beyblade, but more personality and internal struggles) given to some of them so i’m happy about that

i really like some of the characters’ personalities! they’re really fun.

some characters don’t… look their age?? and it kind of freaks me out (i mean there’s a character who’s super buff and he’s supposed to be 11 but he towers over everybody else by like double their height and i’m uncomfy about that. like he looks 18.)

i still can’t quite get over how the battling is in a small stadium

sometimes victories are just really abrupt and i just wished that we’d see more than a character yelling / powering up and suddenly winning…

going with the last point, sometimes (at least for s2, for me)

diverse skin tones, bro… (ex: if you’re gonna be in brazil, why are there no darker skinned characters in the audience…?) 

the english dub changing everybody’s names (even bey names) :(
