I will never shut up about how obsessed buffy was with spike in s7 because just look at her rushing to his side at any minor inconvenience!! he just has to grab his head and she’ll abandon whatever she was just doing to cradle him like an absolute miserable baby HE IS DEAD ALREADY!!!!!

protective big brother (reminder: still soulless) spike is so important to me because y’all can hate him all you want, but you can never tell me that this man didn’t truly care for and love dawn (and joyce for that matter). he didn’t have to stay and take care of her when buffy flatlined but he did. he didn’t know that the scoobies (willow specifically) were trying to bring her back and he still stayed with her family and friends to keep his promise.
