feedback
things to work on was to develop a one sided page as the interactive poster wouldn’t work in a sense that the presentation is an environment that it can’t really be interactive :(
the other was to add all the features missing and touch ups such as
message (adjusting the text wording etc)
call to action (add it in)
develop interaction into one visual poster
poster two development

poster 5.2
this idea i wanted to create the same meaning with the undertone of “she won’t be right” by using imagery seemly okay in colour and using black and white undertones on the text as if the text is affecting him the way it does seen as stressed and upset etc.

poster 5.1
this idea is continued from the interactive idea where the poster is flipped from the front side and has the back side following the front (text, face etc) as if your looking at it from behind so it is backwards however showing the true emotion scene with it in blue overlapping

interactive poster idea
after been told about more interactive visual communication designs, i thought it would be a cool idea to incorporate the idea of using something along the lines like this and to do it with a poster which is 2d and only seen in that sense. i like the use of this and wanted to try incorporate a hidden side where the page folds over and has the hidden meaning which also relates to the posters concept which i feel could go along quite well

poster 4.3
this was the hand in for week 4. It used all the feedback given as well as further changing the text font as a more relaxed masculine feel as the text conveys as well as positioning out the way to see the protagonist clearly and also further having room for the other text down below. lastly added a paper like effect for the background giving creasing on a surface rather than being perfect. more ideology within the masculinity nz

poster 4.1
the poster used the idea with the fightclub getting two images of the same person where one seems to show a front (red) and the other upset (blue). it also includes the “she’ll be right mate” as communicated from the audience perspective to tell the boy that is heard and his feelings towards it.
feedback
the use of colour is hard to make out the sad version of him as well as the text overlaid in blue over top of the boy as well (previous version). overall hard to understand what the idea is and communicated as it is visually hard to tell with colours.
Look at printing to see what it looks like properly
Text colour
Moving the people together
Using the rgb pallet as singular colours

restructuring
had lost track and wanted to get back and listing everything etc.
Aim
Create awareness of the issue with Masculine culture within nz and being ‘Allgood/she’ll be right’
Concept
Allgood bro/brother
Nah it'll/you’ll be allgood

brief reading thing

our depression and suicide rate is on the higher end of the scale. 16.6% of New Zealanders have been affected by depression and 11 out of 100,000 people have lost their lives to suicide..
https://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/GE2011/S00093/majority-of-kiwi-men-feel-social-pressure-to-not-show-weakness.htm
70 percent of Kiwi men believe that society expects them to be “emotionally strong” and not show weakness, while 40 percent avoid talking about their problems because they don’t want to appear weak.
final reading thing
“She’ll be right” can easily be used to bottle up emotions and let them fester internally. When you’re not encouraged to share your emotions because “she’ll be right!” you’ll have this emotional roadblock that stops you from seeking proper help. 16.6% of New Zealanders have been affected by depression and 11 out of 100,000 people have lost their lives to suicide

I really liked the look of the face morph image that i came across which gives an idea that could convey two people within one, one being the actual person and another could be the mind/feeling of the person being portrayed as the morphed part etc.
further looking into it, had reminded me of fight club and how it had the main protagonist, the narrator, where it showed him and another man as tyler which he eventually finds out is just his ideal self within his mind.
- The author, who joined the director and actors in calling the violence in "Fight Club" a metaphor for "destroying how we see ourselves," said he and other men of his generation are having difficulty in defining their manhood. ... "We are the first generation to be raised from the cradle on television,"

Interim
i only had three i thought was worth sharing at the time
feedback
stray away from illustrative vector stuff and venture into something else. have links between the original topic and what is communicated, example being poster 2: coming across more an alcoholic problem rather than masculinity. visually also having more contrast as it is hard to see certain aspects

poster 2.2
this poster i tried to pay homage to the classic tui beer ad with the “yeah right” however ad imagery instead as it was just text. going along the beer idea i used imagery of someone in alcohol and seeing the mates go off as if they are going for a drink. its the “she’ll be right, just have a drink” but the “yeah right” of the “she’ll be right”
