The main characters in the book are Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, Tom Buchanan, Nick Carraway, and Jordan Baker. Jay Gatsby is the main protagonist of the story and is known for his wealth and extravagant parties. Daisy Buchanan is Gatsby's former love interest, and Tom Buchanan is her husband. In my opinion, "The Great Gatsby" is an excellent example of the American Dream and society dating back to the roaring twenties. It has life lessons that still apply today, memorable characters, and a beyond interesting storyline.

The plot revolves around Atticus Finch, a lawyer who is appointed to defend a black man named Tom Robinson who has been accused of raping a white woman. Despite the overwhelming evidence in Tom's favor, he is found guilty by an all-white jury due to the racism that is prevalent in the town. The novel also follows the lives of Scout and Jem as they grow up and learn about the harsh realities of the world.

The main characters in the book are Scout Finch, Jem Finch, Atticus Finch, Tom Robinson, and Boo Radley. Scout and Jem are the children of Atticus Finch and serve as the main protagonists of the story. Atticus Finch is a lawyer who is respected by everyone in the town, and he becomes a symbol of justice and morality throughout the book. Dear Senator Durbin,

Hello! I am writing to express my voice and concern on the current economical state of Illinois. It is very apparent that Illinois has an economical issue that drastically has an effect on residents such as myself. I believe it would be helpful to hear the point of view of a young man trying to thrive in the world. Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Ryan Humes. I’m an 18 year old high school student, and I’ve been working part/full time for three years now. Since I’ve started working I’ve been paying for certain necessities such as Gas, Food, Auto insurance, and a car itself. With that being said it’s safe to say I have a good idea of how the economy today effects my day to day life.

The state of Illinois is currently facing a budget crisis, which has led to cuts in spending and a rise in taxes. This budget crisis began in 2015 and has continued to this day. As of 2023, the state of Illinois has an outstanding dent of approximately $141 Billion. Also, with the minimum wage increasing in Chicago is detrimental to the young working class. Businesses are more picky with who they choose to hire if they’re paying them more. Therefore, people with no previous job experience such as a high schooler are unable to obtain jobs.

I’m aware that the solutions to the state’s problem are controversial however a solution needs to occur immediately. It’s safe to say the residents of the state are unsatisfied with the amount of taxes they pay. Therefore, the most viable option would be cut government spending immensely. The government was responsible for the condition of the state in the first place, it should be on them to fix it not the tax payers.
