Noah Risser and Will Rosati, Philadelphia, March 2016
Noah Risser and Will Rosati are from a small town in Amish country two hours from Philadelphia. The first time I saw footage from them was in “What’s Hillary Duff Doing?”. They appeared to be riding spots that had been there for a hundred years, in the middle of cornfields, and it was great. When I found out they lived near Philadelphia from their recent montages, I knew I had to visit. I recently met them for the first time on a east coast trip from Philadelphia to NYC.
Despite seldom video parts, the scooter scene is non existent in Philadelphia. It was impressive to witness their constant motivation regardless of the amount of support from a crew. The east coast has so much potential but it seems to remain undocumented, or not documented well, which is confusing because it’s one of the most interesting places to ride. Every time I am there I get the sense that the area is the purest form of “street” riding.
I am glad Matt Mckeen and his crew were able to create The Philly Files when they lived there. It seems like the most accurate depiction of the environment they were in and, I know Noah and Will are going to carry out the same train of thoughts.

As the familiar noise of the ice cream truck putted past the skate park, Max and Kyle started chasing it. I was close behind with my camera.

As seen in the Almanac #39, I put my scooter under the couch and we were able to drag it to this bump in the sidewalk. The road next to it was heavy with traffic, and I couldn’t stop thinking what the people driving by were thinking. Not only was there a couch on the sidewalk, a person on a scooter was soaring over it.

I live right next to the bike path. On some weekdays after work the crew pushes from my place into the college campus to ride at night. The feeling of pushing from spot to spot instead of sitting in a car with hour increments in between keeps the blood flowing. Riding spots in a car starts to feel like being transported from movie set to movie set, one of the major flaws of the west coast. Scooters were first created as a mode of transportation and combining that with tricks is the perfect equation.

So I've decided it's time for some change. This account has been cluttered with feed for over 4 years and I want to come to a fresh start. So if anyone even cars to see what I'm up to then give @ryanlawton1 a follow. Until that account get a fraction of the followers then I will make the full switch. Due me a favor and just follow the account. The quicker I get followers the easier this will be for me, thanks for all the support. @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1 @ryanlawton1
