(🎀) Christie heard their parents arguing again and for the sake of Crish, she tried to distract him from hearing it. She put music on, the veggie tales songs and that made him happy. All the older children tried to make Crish's life happy from the start and would never let him be exposed to their parents toxic nature. Their father was good at taking care of him, sometimes, Chris also took care of him too. Mostly everyone but their mother. But from the looks of it, Crish looked happy. Which was good.
❝ C'mon Crish, Christie, Time for bed. ❞
(⚽) Christian intruded in his pajamas and helped dress Crish. Mostly it was the older kids taking care of Crish. With some help with their father, but mostly them. For siblings, they never had fights, which is rare for siblings to do. They loved each other very much and looked out for each other all the time.

Mary laughed at that. “Kids, there’s a fine line between tipsy and drunk. Besides, intoxicated or not, I’d throw you to the first murderer I saw and run. You’ve had a good run, but my wine collection needs me.” She’s joking, of course. She loved the twins, and wanted them to know that. She just wasn’t good at expressing emotions.
Or putting down the wine.
She allowed them to drag her about, glad that they were leading her somewhere besides the woods. She didn’t want to admit it, but Robert’s cryptid stories were finally getting to her and the last place she wanted her children to be was in the hands of The Dover Ghost.
As the twins pointed at her in obvious judgement she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. “Way to throw your dearest mother under the bus, you two.”

(👫) The twins in shock on there mothers words and immediately ran to their father hiding behind him. They loved him more than their mother, kidding or not she should never say that to her children. Who are young.
(👶) Crish crawls over to Christie and Christie picks him up heading towards the bathroom. The baby clutching onto her lovingly.
❝ I'll be giving him a bath tonight Chris. ❞
(🎀) She said and Chris just nodded agreeing with her. The eldest had the look of disappointment and their father's look was worse. Chris and Christian went into their rooms, all in one. Their parents couldn't afford more than a 2 bedroom house.

(👫) Christian and Christie looked at each other dumbfounded because they were disappointed their mother was drunk in a scenario like this. But it's how they got into this mess, they in reality didn't go far. Their father asked if they wanted to go catch lightning bugs and they, like any eight year olds, excitedly agreed. Unfortunately when their father asked their mother to go watch them, she picked up a wine glass and went out.
She suggested to go in the woods for a better chance to catch the bugs but they went too far in and her drunken state forget where they were.
❝ You're asking eight year olds to do this? You're lucky we know our way out. You should be ashamed of yourself mother, there could of been a murderer about and you would be drunk of your....butt. ❞
(🎀) Christie snapped at her and grabbed Christians hand and Christian grabbed his mother's hand dragging them out of the woods and back home.
❝ Fathers not going to be happy about this. ❞
(👫) They both mumbled and walked into their house where Chris crish and Joseph sat in the living room arms crossed. The twins pointed to Mary.
❝ Trail Of Bread-Crumbs.❞
Send “Trail of Breadcrumbs” For A starter where our muses are lost in the woods together
Mary looked around at her surroundings. There was nothing but trees and plants as far as her eyes could see. She looked down at the twins and bit her lip. They both seemed interested in exploring the woods, and she found herself a bit too buzzed to care about following them deeper into the thick green, but now that she looked around, nothing seemed familiar to her.
“Christian, Christie? Do either of you, uhh, know where we’re at?”

❝ Dad, Lucien is my cousin, I was foolish and I know the consequences. I'll go after someone I know i have a chance with. ❞
Christian just started texting and then put his phone away.
❝ Plus Crish is old enough to know what Gay means. Right crish? ❞
He asked as crish nodded and said 'yep' and 'its when two people of the same gender love each other. Love is love.' And then he giggled.
rxdrumx:
❝ When I was eight. I started liking Lucien, a lot. I battled with my brain on why I feel that way towards him. I learned that I loved him like you love mom. I don’t see any harm in me being gay. ❞
Christian spat looking straight ahead, not caring if his father accepted him or not.
“…I’m.. glad you told me, instead of hiding it.”Joseph’s head raised slightly, nodding along with the notion. However, this also provided a problem in the making, which dawned on him as he checked back on Crish again, trying to gauge how much he was listening. Younger children always had that way about them that appeared innocent, deceivingly so. “ I can’t tell you much about that, son.” And he never would, if he could help it. “ What I can tell you, is that if you.. do decide that this is something you pursue, don’t rush into relationships. Don’t go after someone because they’re new to your world.. they’re a bit more than just excitement… and they may not be as interesting or likeable as you thought they were when you first met them.”Joseph would pull off on the next exit, rumbling down the familiar lane to the cul-de-sac.
“It’s very easy to break people’s hearts.. and there’ll be people who’ll do it to you if you’re not careful.”

❝ Is there a problem with me being gay? ❞
Christian looks over to his father with a expressionless face and crossed his arms out of nervousness.
❝ I hope not. ❞
What was the phrasing? Like father, like son? Joseph didn’t know how to combat this, especially not with his own previous escapades with a familiar next door neighbor. What could he tell his son, to relate to him? It was time to play a little bit of mental tennis with this idea, at least to prevent questions getting to be about himself. While the situation is new and unusual, there’s nothing that he can really do about it, not that he would in the first place, but, had it really been hidden for so long? Why had this come out when Christian was angry? Did it make him angry? Confusion fell over his face, knitting his brows. He wanted to ask so many questions at once, but it was better to start with small things. “…How did you figure you were?”

❝ By the way, I don’t think God will love me, I’m gay. So stop preaching to me.❞
The deep inhale he takes is to gather all of his thoughts at once, ignoring the first bit of whatever mumbled nonsense his son was saying. It seems his wife was a betting chip whenever possible, and Joseph had tried so hard to keep their arguments away from the children, away from their ears so they wouldn’t have to worry about the things that their parents worried about. Exhale. Peace. That doesn’t last more than that moment that his son says something he’d never imagine hearing. Music turned down, Joseph glanced back at Crish momentarily before settling on Christian again, and back to the road. His foot relaxed on the gas pedal, keeping it the speed-limit, instead of a few miles faster down the highway. “…Son, You shouldn’t joke about that kind of thing. God loves us regardless of our failings.. that’s why there’s grace.” Don’t get legalistic about it. Don’t say anything that he could tell Mary later.

“ I’m only Eight years old, i do not think any guys would like me. Most guys in my class are taught that a boy and girl are only acceptable relationships...which is nice but they have to know its acceptable that being gay is okay. My dad says i am brave and smart for my age. I say i am that way because i am not brainwashed like everyone else. “
❝are you third-wheeling too?❞ [Christian]
He shrugged, flicked ash onto the ground. “Guess it kinda looks that way, huh?” He grumbled, shooting an annoyed look at the overly affectionate couple he’d come with. God if he’d known they’d be like this the whole time he would have happily stayed home. This was so much easier to deal with when he had a drink in his hand. Unfortunately all he had was a crumpled pack of cigarettes and an iPod on him. “So where the hell are your friends?”
