1/6/2025: after an evening at La Quinta (Gainesville) we pressed on to Manatee Springs State Park, where we saw .... manatees in a spring!

1/5/25: after much enjoyable beach time in Melbourne FL, we headed up to St Augustine, the "oldest city" in the state, USA, world, etc..

we did manage to catch a nighttime Vulcan 4 launch, along with the other space geeks, out on the Banana River causeway west of Port Canaveral

we paid a visit to the Kennedy Space Center which was sort of like Disney World with ballistic missiles

1/2/2025: we headed from palm beach up the coast to a spot somewhere south of Melbourne and north of Vero Beach ... we landed some citrus fruit and orange/vanilla softserve at Schacht Grove before leaving the mainland

our itinerary at Palm Beach left us adjacent to the slightly securitized beach at Mar a Lago

1/1/2025: packed up our Kia Soul and headed across the peninsula to Palm Beach, FL to spend a day with dear old pals

we hit NYE pretty hard this year at Daquiri Deck in Venice and also back at our rental unit, where we may have stayed up until 10:30 pm

12/28: daytrip to Ringling Museum of Sarasota
