Actually the manga was based on a novel called "tenmei tantei" or "fate detective" in English, and "Next gear" is the sequel to said novel. I think the novel series has about 9 books in total.

As for where to read it, I only know of bookwalker...

Though a day late, we are here with the last chapter of Volume 2.

I will upload the full volume file with the covers and all in a few days, then the chapters to Mangadex, if you wish to read there.

Hope you like the story so far. Volume 3 needs to be proofread and vol 4 needs a bit more editing and proofreading so we are close to finishing it.

The story is actually continuing in a novel called Next Gear after the end of volume 4. Does anyone know where that can be read? English would be nice but I can deal with it if it's Japanese. This story has me hooked. :)

Mujihi na Yoru ni Chapter4

Hello Everyone,

We are back with the next chapter of the Mujihi series.

After such a long wait, this is a bit of a letdown because it's sooooo short.

Anyway, don't expect the next chapter until the end of the year. It seems there won't be anything new until the November issue and I can only get my hands on that in the middle of December.

As a side note, I'd like to mention that once the full volume is out with the extras (hopefully), I will get back to the first chapters to edit and make it look better, then upload the whole thing in a bit better quality.

Tactics V14 Ch2

Hi,

We are back with the next chapter of Tactics.

Info about our projects:

Tactics: vol 14 and 15 are translated and typeset. Only need to be proofread. Then some more editing and it's all done. Then we will work on the sequesl manga which has two volumes.

Chronos: vol 3 is tranlsated and typeset, in line for proofreading. I'm gonna buy the last volume next week and start working on that because I'm really curious how it will end. This is a nice manga, thanks for those who requested it.

Mujihi na Yoru ni: next chapter should come out on Wednesday. So I'll buy it and start working on it.

Tactics V14 Ch1

Hello Everyone,

We are back with the first chapter of Volume 14.

A little update: both volume 14 and 15 are translated and I went through them again to correct some mistakes, so only proofreading and typesetting remains. We will upload these chapters in the future, so don't worry if the wait is long. We will not abandone this project.

Also, as the translation is difficult and this manga had an official English release, I decided not to upload it to reader sites. At least not now. Please don't upload it elsewhere. The scans will be available on our tumblr page.

Hello,

I'm just here with some bad and good news. Also with info about our ongoing projects.

So to get the bad news over with. I bought the HanaOto magazine and while I knew there would be no Mujihi na Yoru ni chapter, on the website it said that there will be some sort of extra from Sakuraga Mei. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one page with some sort of message from the mangaka that I am not going to translate. Even worse, on the magazine's website it shows that the new edition of HanaOto also only has an extra and no Mujihi chapter. So I refuse to buy it just to be disappointed again. Unless someone else gets their hands on whatever that is, I won't even consider working on it. This all means, that the earliest we can have a new chapter is August, but only if the next one is featured in the magazine in July (the digital version becomes available a month after the hard copy release). This is also one of the main reasons why I don't work on ongoing manga, so please don't request anything like that.

On to the good news. With the magazine, I bought volume 3 of Chronos and started working on it. Volume 2 is mostly done, so I will start uploading those chapters soon. Look forward to it. I find this story interesting, so I'm able to work on the translation quite quickly.

And last, a little update. We are also working on the Tactics chapters. Volume 14 is translated and I'm halfway through volume 15 already. However, this manga is really difficult. I'm not sure why, but I find it hard to translate and it doesn't help that it's difficult to figure out from the bubbles who is talking. Since Japanese doesn't usually use "I" and "You" in sentences, it's not easy to figure out how exactly it should be translated. So I want to translate both volumes before going through them again to see if I messed up something. Also, since I'm really not confident about the accuracy of this translation, I might not make this available on manga reader sites, so only those who really want to read it can find it here and download. We'll see.

Chronos: Jisedai Hanzai Jouhoushitsu Chapter 5

Hello Everyone,

We're back with a new chapter and starting the second volume of Chronos. Sorry for the delay.

Some info:

-the cover and extras will only be available in the full volume update after the individual chapters are all posted. So in a few months.

-I will only upload this to Mangadex when the full volume is available here. For one, it's some privilege for those who follow us, and two, that is when the cover will become available. So if anyone uploads the chapters without my permission on any site, then I will stop uploading the individual chapters, wait about 6-12 months and upload the entire volume when it's all done. So think before uploading anywhere.

-the entire second volume is translated, so only some proofreading, typesetting and editing is needed. Another reason not to upload without my permission, since the chapters will come soon, if everyone plays nice.

-the next HanaOto magazine will come out in the middle of June (I think there is no Mujihi chapter, but there is something Warui related), when that happens, I will buy the 3rd volume of Chronos with it and start translating that too.
