I’m gonna say this one thing about Stranger Things that is hard to believe for me:
As someone with a black mother, ain’t no way Lucas’s parents were gonna let Lucas keep hanging out with Mike and the others. He wouldn’t have been allowed back over the second Will went missing tbh. I can hear his mama:
“You gotta stop hanging out with them little white children. They’ll get you in trouble. I know you wanna say��‘but mom, they’re my friends’ but your friends will get to walk home and you’ll be doing ten to twenty. Don’t forget who you are out there. You can’t do everything they do. I know it’s not how things should be but unfortunately they are. You are my child. I look out for you.”
I say this because I’ve heard aunts, my mom, older cousins and grannies say the same thing since I was little.....
