The Diplomat's Rufus Sewell warns fans can't predict season 2 repercussions after cliffhanger
"There really are some twists that occur."
Video
Sewell and Russell spoke exclusively with RadioTimes.com ahead of the show's return, and Sewell has teased long-lasting, unpredictable repercussions from what happened to Hal.
"Later, Sewell also teased that "there really are some twists that occur" in season 2, revealing that he was originally drawn to the series for the "wit, the dialog, the truthfulness of the relationship".
"Actually, what I loved about it was that - story, yeah, very interesting, because you want extreme environments to give rise to character, to show it," he explained.
"But for me, the fact that the story is... it's really quite a story, the things that happen are extraordinary, which, for me, is just such a bonus that the story is so strong."

Drove up to the woodstock film festival last night to see “The Uninvited” written and directed by Nadia Conners, who did a Q&A afterwards with one of the lead actors from the movie, her husband, Walton Goggins.
The movie was honestly really incredible, and she made it on an insanely low budget, and the cast was made up of mostly her and her husband’s friends and filmed at another friend’s house. It was initially conceived and developed as a stage play, but covid scuttled those plans, so she reworked it into a film. It definitely still felt like a play, which I loved. The cast was amazing, Elizabeth Reaser and Lois Smith especially. The director said that Lois Smith was who she had in mind for Helen when she was writing it, and she was so happy that she was able to join the cast. Elizabeth Reaser was honestly so amazing, very real, very funny, and there’s a red velvet dress that she wears at one point that’ll knock you out.
Sort of a bummer it’s not going to get a wide release, she said during the Q&A just one theater in LA and one theater in NYC, I think only for one night? But it’ll be on VOD end of November. Not sure where, if anywhere, it’ll live for streaming. Anyway, go see it if you can!

Shirley Henderson is excellent in 'The Trouble with Jessica' as Sarah, who is determined not to let a dead dinner guest derail the sale of her house.
This movie came out just a few months ago and it seems like nobody's paying much attention to it, which is a shame because it's actually a pretty good satire of upper middle class Islington types. I would also say it has flavours of Inside No. 9, episodes like ‘A Quiet Night In’ and ‘Mulberry Close’.
It's a reunion for Shirley Henderson and Rufus Sewell who did that rather good modernized 'The Taming of the Shrew' together back in 2005, as well as 'Charles II' in 2003. It's also a reunion for Sewell and Alan Tudyk who know each other from the wonderful 'A Knight's Tale'.
