"Nice to know someone understands," she laughed. "Though it's a bit more convenient this way. Not having to worry about food or anything.." She grinned, shrugging her shoulder at his next question. "Alright. I plan to stay for a while. Back home...well, I much prefer to be here."

"Age in seconds?  Yes, I can see how you would want to avoid that.  I’ve found that when I’m transformed, I don’t age either." he said, pausing for a moment.  She seemed like a nice enough young woman.

"How are you getting along here then?  Staying for a bit or in a rush to get back?" he asked, doubting that either Scott or Emma would necessarily welcome her in right now.  Then again, you never knew…

Ruby stayed quiet another moment. It was strange to her to have someone be nice to her...not since - "So, uh, do you mind showing me around? I'm a bit new."

Ah yes, well, this is my school for gifted youngsters, another way of saying it might be, that this is a home for mutants, a place where they can learn to control and understand their abilities, and even learn to understand the world and people around them.
