Just thinking abt how pretty happy sugar life’s art style is. Idk. I just love it so goddamn much. But out of everything, I can’t stop thinking of the side profile eyes. IDK WHY THEY JUST LOOK SO GOOD AND APPEALING TO ME. Im like??? Idk why but its been my favorite part since reading the manga. Its so aesthetically pleasing to look at and idk why. I think the face structure also adds to some of the appeal but. the e y E s—

I hate how people widely misinterpret happy sugar life as some "creepy p*do show" when it's not.

(Spoilers if you haven't watched it)

Happy sugar life is a psychological horror centered around the actions of a girl who has never experienced love before. Growing up everyone around her had a very warped and twisted perspective of love, so she's never been able to differentiate between romantic and platonic/familial love.

When she finds shio, a young girl around 7 or 8, abandoned on the streets, her first instinct is to save her. After taking her off of the streets and living with her, she realizes that she deeply cares for and loves her, but more as a mother or a sister would.

The issue is she has never experienced familial love, she doesn't even know it exists. The only love she had been taught was romantic and sexual.

So she misinterprets these feelings as romantic.

Throughout the show she never does a single sexual thing towards shio, shio is never sexulized in the fist placed.

The people who write of Satous character as a "P*do" are mainly people who have never read the manga or watched the show.

Yes Satou is a horrible selfish person, she never once makes an attempt to look for Shio's family and actively manipulates and kills others to keep Shio from leaving her.

She is a murderer, a manipulator, but not a fucking p*d*phile.
