The Claremont-Diaz family have been invited to Britain to participate in this year's upcoming social season, travelling all the way from DC. Prince Henry of Wales hates everything about the Royal Monarchy and is being forced to hide himself away from being who he really is and living out his worst nightmare as he unwillingly participates in this year's social season in order to find a wife, which is something he will never have any interest in what so ever. All of it is complete and utter shambles in his eyes. However, when his grandmother Queen Mary chooses Sir Alexander Claremont-Diaz as this year's incomparable diamond, his mind about the social season could be about to be changed as he finds himself wanting the crown's jewels....literally.

seven sentence sunday

so it turns out i do actually remember how to open a google doc! god knows if anything will come of this bc consistency is not my friend atm BUT i got tagged by a couple of pals this week and by some miracle i do actually have something to share! this is from a wip in which henry has written a play that requires the perfect male lead and he is being extremely picky during the auditions...

“It’s just that we must have seen every actor in London at this point and not a single one of them has come close to meeting your frankly astronomical standards. I love you dearly, my sweet, tortured, creative soul, and I want this show to be a success as much as you do, but if we have to sit through many more of these auditions, Auntie Pezza is going to develop crow’s feet, and if that happens to me before I turn thirty, I will murder you.”    Henry knows he’s being picky and he knows that ‘picky’ is a colossal understatement. It’s just that this script is the best he’s ever written. It’s the only play he’s ever finished that makes him feel like, with the right actor in the lead, he could actually be proud to have his name on the poster. So much so that he’d finally cashed in on a promised favour from way back in his uni days and begged his best friend, a fabulously successful producer of queer theatre, to back the play and get it into production. Pez had agreed happily, and Henry swore to him that he wouldn’t regret it. He really doesn’t want to break that promise.

Alex shrugs and Pez heaves a sigh before he reaches out to gently grasp Alex’s chin, guiding him so he can see that Henry has found his way out of the restroom and found himself a dance partner.

There is a respectable amount of distance between him and the woman he’s dancing—or swaying awkwardly side to side—with. They're more talking than dancing, really—or at least she is, making big, broad gestures with her hands while Henry nods along, content to listen.

“He’s a prince,” Alex says as he pushes Pez’s hand away.

“Yes,” Pez answers slowly. “I am well aware.”

“And I’m not,” Alex continues, “and even if I were, do you really think Her Majesty would allow it?”

Happy November folks! Thanks to @onthewaytosomewhere @suseagull04 @sophie1973 @thesleepyskipper & @seths-rogens for the tags! And the lovelies that have tagged me the past Sunday/Wednesday, I've been far too busy/sick to post but I appreciate the tags and getting to read all of your fantastic snippets.

Back with a little bit of Henry Discovers Quinn fic which now has a title; (set the alarms my dear) there's a million lives to live. Thank you Spotify for helping me discover this song. Praying I'll get to finish this soon. I have my last big trip coming up of the year and then I'm so excited to just hibernate and write fic at home all the time 🥰

Despite the British accent on the audio, all he can imagine is Alex. It helps that Alex is a yapper during sex anyways, especially when they fool around in places they shouldn't. They've been more likely to get caught half naked in public because Alex won't stop telling Henry what a good boy he is, not the gaspy giggles he makes as Alex brings him to an earth shattering climax.
