Case Study No. 01
Sugar vs salt vs butter?? Exfoliants can be so overwhelming… Which do you choose? Well I happen to have a little exfoliant collection problem. Here are three scrubs I would like to share and compare…
Subject a.
Mancine hot salt scrub
This scrub was nice for deep exfoliation, but not my favorite. I normally love mancine products but as far as a scrub goes this is at the bottom of my recommendation list. The scent was nice and the salt felt good but it was extremely drying and you can't work up much lather. I ended up mixing it with body wash. With Salt scrubs the beads are just that, salt... chunky rigid raw salt. One thing I look for in a body scrub is whether or not I have to moisturize afterwards.. with mancine, you better have a heavy body oil handy for afterwards!

Subject b.
La Licious Scrub Souffle
This is my second favorite! I love the way this scrub feels. The grains are softer and finer than the salt scrubs. I believe that with a finer grain, you get a deeper more efficient exfoliation. This particular scrub feels whipped, yes like whipped cream... and smells like you can eat it! It even says on the bottle, not for tasting! haha. After you rinse, the fragrance actually stays with your skin, the essential oil keeps your skin nice and hydrated! I find this is a perfect scrub for someone who does not usually moisturize because they are avoiding irritation from lotions and oils. Unless you have an extremely dry skin condition this should be all you need in your shower!
Subject C.
Herban Body Care
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! THIS scrub is my jam. Herban Body Care has create this Salted Butter moisturizing scrub, it does not disappoint and it lives up to every expectation you would have for a body scrub. I use very little product because it is so rich! Saturated in natural essential oils, this silky smooth scrub glides on like ...BUTTER. No pun intended. But really, this product is a must have... or at least give it a try! Your skin will thank you.

Product reviews
As a beauty industry professional, I am given the opportunity to try tons of new skin & hair care products being introduced to the industry on a regular basis. Being the guinea pig that I am, I have decided to share my knowledge and opinions of these new found treasures...
A lot of people have said that I must be so lucky to try new products all the time, that's not always the case. You can end up with a rash, burns, hives, damage to your hair... a handful of bad things can happen. Sometimes these products can be absolutely horrendous! So do your research before trying the new sample you got at ulta or sephora. Make sure it does not have any harmful chemicals and is made for your hair or skin type and condition.
Most of these products I review are not only from my experiences but from the experiences my colleagues and clients as well.
Above are just a few of the products I will be introducing shortly. xo
