Are you still reading Hounds of Sisyphus? Watcha think so far? Personally the characters and plot feel refreshing as far as BLs go

Mixed feelings lol but objectively it is very fresh. I love that it's keeping the audience on its toes -- like I have no idea where it's going at this point (in a good way). However, murder and death-adjacent things are not in my wheelhouse so that's kind of a bummer. Buuuuut it's the nature of the genre so I can't fault Hounds for having all the murder and death-adjacent things.

Back to stuff I love -- It's like the webcomic version of an unreliable narrator. Guwon seems simultaneously naive or hiding his true nature. We had the scene of him grinning into the mirror saying "I've still go it!" which doesn't jibe with acting like an innocent babe wrt sex. I'm like equal parts intrigued by the plot AND the relationship.

So I'm choosing to ignore the bloodier aspects for now.

anyway I am very pro-reading if you want to improve. Read widely, read things you would normally wouldn't. Read classics. Reread your favorites. Take note of how they use dialogue, setting, pacing, etc. Be a sponge. That is my advice.

Are you a woman? If so this question I have applies in a way.. I write a lot of gay slash fiction on ao3 and sometimes in the past fanfic . Net but I am as woman and I get a lot of hate for it ..do you expericne the same kind of treatment?

I feel like there's more to this, like some context that's missing lol. But broadly, my advice is that if you see people saying women shouldn't write slash, BL, MM, whatever--take a deep breath and keep it moving. Not everything needs a reaction and there will never be a time when everyone everywhere agree 100% on a topic.

No, I think, like most writers...... I love when my stories get attention 😂 and I always have the option to not answer.

I started reading Songs You Know by Heart when you mentioned it in a previous ask and the beginning was straight up identical to one of my favorite series. I think it’s the same writer..? The Wine and Song Series by Eleanor Kos. And yes, 100% would recommend!!

Underline the Red by not_poignant. It’s an omegaverse spinoff of an original fic by the same author and part of a series—but the only Alpha/Beta pairing in the series, which is part of the conflict because “Alphas are supposed to be with Omegas,” and Betas just kind of exist. Omegas are treated shittily (surprise) and MC works for a rehab that helps them. He falls in love with someone he shouldn’t. Honestly, I came for the size kink and the dubcon, stayed for the MC who is so competent at work but really rather pathetic in his personal life. I love him. Warning: it’s a WIP!
