posting this on this account because its slightly more personal than any of my other blogs would post but i watched ‘missing’ (on uk netflix) and movies with domestic violence always remind me of my past. that couldve so easily been my story. my mum was so prepared to leave him, shed made all the plans. but she stayed because of me. and she kept getting hurt. i feel guilty about that a lot, even though she tells me it wasnt my fault. i was young, 2/3/4 years old. even when i was 10 i was still too young to do anything other than shout. i dont like to think about what would have happened if my dad hadnt changed. hes a different person now but sometimes he still scares me. when his voice gets too loud or when he moves too quickly. i dont remember the memories, or the pain. but my body does.
