I’m old enough to remember no one gave a fuck about “problematic dark art/fics” on the internet where people ran rampant posting lolisho and rape porn of characters, and everyone knew it was fictional and not real. And like people just simply blocked / didn’t read / didn’t look for whatever the fuck. Like I wasn’t groomed by lolisho or problematic media by a pedophile, no. I was groomed with cartoon adults engaging in sex shit. I was also groomed by “antis” who hide in holier than thou spaces that’s riddled with minors and indoctrinate them into this puritan world view that “fiction that explores dark topics = bad” when it’s literally the only outlet to explore said dark topics in a safe manner. If you censor any type of art or writing, you are paving the way for justification that all censorship is okay. Which like it’s not gonna end at noncon/fetish shit/lolisho, it’s going to attack queer media and other things that bigots deem as “problematic” and a “danger to children.”

Like fight me if u want on this but 95% of you are so fucking chronically online that normal people also think censorship is foul & believe in the freedom of speech / expression despite the art being grotesque. And normal people also agree that harassing artists and fic writers using your fucking trauma or personal moral hang ups is goddamn weird at best and abusive at worse. You disliking something / being triggered by something is NOT an excuse to behave like the way some of you do. But I guess it’s justified to put needles in the cookies of that one PapyFrisk artist who lacerated their tongue because yall think terroristic actions are worthy to defend the valiant honor of FICTIONAL characters.
