13 days, 13 prompts.

Visual, aural, textile, and literary works are allowed - fanart, fanfiction, gifs, edits/manips, cosplay, fanmixes, crafts, or ask-and-answer.  

Unlike other fandom events, reblogs of previously created material are welcome IF THEY FIT THE PROMPT, but creation of original material is preferred.

Inspiration can be drawn from the GUARDIANS OF CHILDHOOD bookverse, the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS movieverse, and any and all associated AUs.

OCs are welcome and encouraged to interact with RotG/GoC characters.

Crossovers are welcome, but please make sure that the focus POV is a character from RotG/GoC.

Works in progress are welcome and encouraged, as long as they fit the prompt. No reason not to celebrate Halloween all year ‘round! No need to worry about having to have something complete before posting.

Don’t feel like you ***must*** post a piece Every… Single… DAY, and/or fill every single prompt.  Burnout is not fun.  But do try to post at least ONE piece during the 13 days of the challenge.

I've heard there's some confusion over the games chosen for art or fanfic creation in the 2024 event.

The first prompt in each day is a game that one or two people can play, the second prompt is one for a whole group. That should give people a lot of leeway in what they wish to create. And remember, you don't have to do all fourteen! One per day is fine.

I hadn't realized that some of the games cited were so obscure. So here's some links for context.

ROTG Hope Week 2024 - 31 March through 6 April

The last few years have been rough on many of us, and we could all use a little Hope.

So once again we're back for the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS April[ish] fandom creation event, starting on Easter Sunday, March 31st at 12:01AM Eastern US Time, and ending on Saturday, April 6th at 11:59PM Eastern US Time.

We're trying something a little different this year - one overarching theme, that of games, with a daily Column A choice and a Column B choice, so that participants can take their pick of one or two prompts to fill per day.

GUIDELINES:

7 days, 14 prompts, with your choice of one or two prompts per day.

Visual, aural, textile, and literary works are allowed - fanart, fanfiction, gifs, edits/manips, cosplay, fanmixes, crafts, or ask-and-answer IF THEY FIT THE PROMPT.

Creation of original material is preferred for this event, rather than reblogs.

Inspiration should be drawn from the GUARDIANS OF CHILDHOOD bookverse and the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS movieverse.
