Soleil was genuinely surprised when Ari approached him and pulled him in for a hug. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the hug - he most definitely did, and a part of him wanted to press his face into the other boy’s shoulder - it was just that the public didn’t know anything about them, and he was hoping for things to stay like that. “Yeah, hi,” he greeted in return, looking up at him, brow furrowing at the two drinks in his hands. “How drunk are you right now?”

𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖎𝖘 𝖆𝖑𝖜𝖆𝖞𝖘 that point in the night where the tequila hits hard , your head is swimming , but not one thing would be able to tear your mood down . that’s where ari was at at this point in the night , and the grin on his face was proof . “ i literally can’t even feel my toes , ” he replies , offering one of the cups to the other . “ i don’t know what’s in here , but it tastes good . try . ”

he almost thought his contacts needed adjusting when he spotted him , the slender , curly haired boy looking as lost as a kid in a grocery store , but it was certainly him . with a grin on his face , ari approached the other with a drink in each hand , arms open wide to pull him into a hug . “ you made it ! ”

walking into the delta phi house was not an unusual thing for wren on a thursday or a friday night. she attended almost every single party they threw and it usually ended well for her. and the parties were great, which was always a plus. heading towards the drink table, wren glanced around and caught people looking away, only a couple of brave ones catching her eye and smiling as she smirked and walked past them. there would be time for harmless flirting once she had a drink in hand. with a sweet smile, a swipe of her feather duster across a ripped, bare chest, and a quick “thanks, babe”, wren had her drink and turned on her heel to find someone to waste her time with. her eyes landed on a familiar face and she stuck her tongue out playfully in greeting. “hi stranger.”

𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖒𝖔𝖐𝖊 𝖒𝖆𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖊𝖘 created a hazy , eerie atmosphere in the house — ari’s own personal touch — and the speakers were blasting halloween tunes as people piled in . halloween always had a good turn out , despite the dozens of other parties going on in the city , nobody seemed to want to miss delta’s fright night . “ hey ! ” he spun around on his heels at the sound of a familiar voice, eyes squinting for a moment as he attempted to determine who’d grabbed his attention . “ dang , blanchard ! ” he grinned , taking a step back from her as he looked over her costume . “ you look great ! ”

. ◞  ‧ nude heels tearing into tired feet , snowballing the bronde female to plop down on the nearest couch . red solo cup begging to be at her lips , and her long pink nails tapping away on her phone . an alert to her groupchat that she would find them shortly , she needed a breather . which , would’ve made more sense outside . with fresh air and less sweaty bodies and unlimited room . but she did not think her feet could go much farther . hues landing on familiar features , and pearly whites pulling at glossy lips . lips parting to open after a few seconds, “ will you take these off for me? “ she asked , head tilted slightly and the hint of a pout forming . allowing her one leg to land in their lap. “you have to untie and then zip .. “.  

𝖋𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙'𝖘 turn out was nothing less than expected , delta psi always having been known for throwing entertaining , yet wildly chaotic parties on the upper west side . the place was packed to the brim with sweaty bodies , girls skipping around scantily clad in their halloween costumes , a new drink in his hand for what seemed like every other minute . he was sufficiently drunk by the time he’d plopped onto the couch , head lolling back against the head rest with an over dramatic sigh , music so loud he could feel it thumping in his chest . he closed his eyes , only causing his head to spin more , until he felt a sudden weight in his lap , and the sound of a familiar voice beside him . “ oh , ” he raised his eyebrows , “ hey , yeah , sure . ” a nod of his head as fingers worked nimbly at the ties of the shoes . “ having fun ? ”
