She love him most when he talks about the things he is most passionate about. That’s when his eyes light up, alive, dancing, as if he sees a world that no body has seen before. When he looks at her in the same way, that’s when she feels loved the most.

Muslim women are oppressed?
The year is 2018. The world of trend. Everyone believes everything and everyone especially with the power of social media. Social media has become part of everyone’s life. “I can’t live without it.” Is what some would say. But why is that? Yes, social media is designed to make us brainwashed. That’s the same with what’s going on with the news. They portray muslim’s as bad people, they use ISIS who are not even a part of our Islamic society as an excuse to blame every muslim for what they have done wrong. They claim that muslim women are oppressed. Why? Is it because I wear the hijab? Is it because I do it because men ‘force’ me to? No, I do it to please my God, I do it to hide the beauty that Allah has given me. I do it FOR my husband so only I can reveal my beauty, only to him. I do it so that I don’t have men gazing at me wrongfully. I do it for the right reasons. Not for the reasons the society has built. Do you think Islam tells women that they HAVE to stay at home to just cook and clean and to just bear children? No! Islam is more than that. It is such a beautiful religion which shows equality to both genders. “They (your wives) are your garment and you are a garment for them.” (Qur’an, 2: 187)

Love.
Love.
A word that constantly occupies our minds. A word with different definitions. A word that makes us question everything.
But what is love?
Many would say there are different types of love. Love could be for an object. Love could be for a person. Love could be for one particular person. The most important form of love comes from your heart for another being and not for pointless materialistic objects. When we think about love, most usually we think about the pain it brings us. Why does such a beautiful thing hurt us? We constantly ask ourselves. We think about breakups, the tears, the arguments, the frustration and anger that comes with it all, but when we do feel love its such a sacred, precious feeling people will say. But even if the feeling will bring us absolute ecstasy, we sometimes wish not to know this feeling because we are scared of the pain. The pain we have to endure when love comes by.
The small minority of people who have not been tainted or ruined by love are the pure, unbroken and innocent. They usually believe in love at first sight. They think of love as something that brightens your day. A beautiful feeling that makes you feel like you are on cloud 9; a feeling that brings you butterflies in your stomach every time you see them. A feeling that changes your perspective on everything around you because of them. Love to them is someone loving your flaws, quirks and strange habits. Love is feeling safe in their arms. Love is finding an excuse to forgive them when they’ve done wrong.
But what is love?
Love to me is an exciting yet dangerous feeling because when you fall in love, you just fall. You don’t think straight because they always occupy your mind, you don’t dream about anything else because of them. This precious feeling makes you sacrifice everything just for one. This rare feeling makes your heart beat faster every time they pass by. This irreplaceable feeling makes you vulnerable to everything around you, yet we all crave it.
We want to be in love and to be loved. That is all we wish for, which I believe is pathetic. Love leaves you broken and lost because everyone leaves in the end. You fall so far into love that we end up loving the other person more that they will love us. You will end up caring for that person so much that when something goes wrong, it will bring you unbearable pain.
Why do people crave such a feeling that brings them pain?
The person that you love would be so important to you but, you would be of little to no importance to them. The person you love would be able to ruin everything in your life by a few actions or words. The person you love would be able to mess with your head and emotions constantly.
So enlighten me on why people would ever dream of being in love?
Because, all it brings them is pain, worry, tears and leaves them empty inside. It leaves you asking yourself what you have done wrong. It leaves you numb to every emotion. It leaves you broken but you crave more.
That is love to me.
Thanks lovelies for listening.
