prescottpantos:
Prescott just hummed in basic acknowledgment of the added pressure, already aware it’d add a bit of tension. But, the beauty that could transpire from such… Extraordinary. “Only learning one ending ruins the show. See, I wanted to pick one that could get the audience more engaged, without any twenty somethings running through aisles naked or grinding on unwilling attendees.” They explained, trying hard to make it seem as though they hadn’t already applied for legal rights to the performance. “I am, of course, talking about the Tony winning murder musical, ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’. And, I think we can do it! If… We get new sets and costumes and a small budget to hire a new creative advisor?” They asked, words speeding up as they pushed themself to stand up in front of her, hands outstretched to show their questioning was innocent. “I’m thinking Poppy would be extraordinary, for the position.” The position that was created with her in mind, but that was unimportant.
Aurora had admittedly let Prescott do a lot of what he asked of her. It wasn’t because she couldn’t say no, but because she admired his passion. But sometimes she had to remind herself this was a college theater program and that she needed to be firm with her choices so that they didn’t get shut down. “Have you talked about this musical with the students? I’m not very familiar with it but if there id student buzz I could push it forward.” Her smile fell a little bit. “As for adding a new creative advisor....I’m sorry, but we don’t have a budget for that. Truth be told I am going to have to really look into your plans for this musical because we are going to have to cut back a little bit due to the last one....We for sure can’t have new sets AND costumes. We already have so much, I’m sure the students can design new sets with what we have.”

prescottpantos:
Now there were many things that Prescott could have twisted to fit their currently chaotic emotions, but along came smiling, giggling Aurora. She was never unpleasant company, but her question did spark a different flame inside of him, much less brooding than those that had been holding them hostage for the last hour or two. Begrudgingly (more or less), they allowed their scrunched up shoulders to relax a bit, and turned their head up to face the sky with closed eyes. “Oui oui, mon amie.” They agreed, flinging out an arm and refusing to drop it as a pasing car honked. “What better weather to debate dramas? It’s been too many years since I did a death-based show. But, also, the one I’m thinking of doing has seven possible endings… Do you think I can convince college kids to learn seven variations on a musical in a semester? Or is that too far fetched?” They asked, peaking one eye open to look at her.
Aurora shook her head a them. “They might be able to. But that does add a lot of pressure, don’t you think?” She admired their passion for sure, but she didn’t want them to put too much on their plate and then have a colossal burnout. “Perhaps picking your favorite is the way to start. And if there is more time maybe they can learn another one. And then you go from there.” She never really could say no flat out to these kind of things. But she could try to gently discourage if it made sense to. “What show is this? Is it one even I could have heard of before?”

Aurora didn’t like to spend a lot of her free time outside of the woods, as silly as it sounded. She had work, she had errands, and both of those activities involved leaving her cottage and forcing herself to be a part of the more crowded areas of Corona. Not that she hated the people, she just wasn’t always a fan of the noise. But it was alright; she had so many friends that she didn’t want to just not see them because of her preferences. So every now and then she got some things together to drop off to someone she cared about. She was on her way to a Spoonful of Sugar when she had spotted Prescott. They were...something. Aurora admired their passion, even when she wasn’t the most energized person out there. She imagined she was not the easiest to deal with for them, but she still was going to stop and say hello. Their response was expected so she was able to just giggle at his theatrics. “It’s a lovely day today, isn’t it?” She said, taking in the scenery. “I’m sure it’s giving you tons of ideas for your next show.”
‘The summer night is like a perfection of thought’ rang through Prescott’s head, a bittersweet melody in the face of beauty. There was no denying the gorgeous way the sun shined through the trees, dancing like a child against the pavement and giving new warmth to the blacktop. From where they sat, criss-crossed on top of the thin, yellow strip, they allowed the heat to blend beginning and end. Summer was fleeting, as dreams in the face of adversity did, but every day was a new chance; an opportunity to flee, to fight, to fester and forget. On the flat stretch, staring down the long expanse of road, it almost seemed like every moment leading up to this one was insubstantial. The car horns that blared as they passed did not permeate the imagery, only adding to the symbolism as another moving part. They’d lost track of how long they’d been there, sipping seltzer from their reusable water bottle, and most likely would not have moved until the sun found new home in the other hemisphere. That is, of course, if a body hadn’t provided an unexpected eclipse. Surprised by the company, as was not expected in the middle of a street, Prescott narrowed their eyes, vision adjusting to the sudden change. “What bringeth thee hither, where none may enter, ne man ne Jinni?”

Aurora giggled at the woman. “Oh no, this time I wasn’t trying.” It was what she got for, well, living in the middle of the woods. “I’m near a lot of trees and things just end up there like that...not like any old thing, just leaves! But thank you...A flower crown sounds like a good idea right now.”
@rosegolddreamsx || starter here!
“Oh, hold still, please!” Carefully, Sally reaches out lightly, plucks a stray leaf from the young woman’s hair, and holds it out. “But–perhaps you wanted it there! Oh, I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be rude. It’s certainly unique to have leaves woven in your hair if you like them there! It would be like a flower crown.”

Aurora would do anything for Kitty when it came down to it. She was so used to being bubbled up at home in the woods and the very thought of being in a place like the Underworld felt bizarre for her but there she was, holding Kitty’s hand tightly as they made their way further into the club. It was almost hard to hear her speak but at the mention of love, Aurora already knew she was doomed. She was a hopeless romantic on her best nights and even though all she seemed to be good at was breaking people’s hearts, she still had hope that her prince was out there (ignoring the fact that she had one at home). “Alright, alright. I’m convinced. This does look a lot like fun,” she shouted due to the loudness of the music. “Where do we start?”
“It’ll be fun. I promise,” Kitty assures her, arm linked with Aurora’s as she leads her into the club. She feels in her element here, surrounded by the vibrant colours, dancing bodies, and loud music pumping through speakers. She can truthfully make herself feel at home almost anywhere, always prepared to find the fun in absolutely anything. While Kitty knows Aurora doesn’t always feel the same way, she can’t think of a better reason to drag her out of her element in the woods and push her into something more exciting. “I mean… what if the love of your life is here and you missed out because you were hanging out at home alone? Isn’t that the most tragic thing you could possibly imagine?” She’s laying it on way too thick right now, she knows, but Kitty hopes that if she keeps talking, something she says will stick. // @rosegolddreamsx

Aurora was loving everything about this picnic. She was getting hugs left and right, kisses on the cheek, and the atmosphere was full of love and joy. She had never seen the island be so kind to one another and she wished it was always like this. She was so happy that she didn’t care that people were bumping into her and when she saw it was cereal boy she gasped. “I remember you!” she said louder than she had meant to. “It’s good to see you here. Are you having fun?”
“N-No thank you!!!” For what was the third time today, Rex had no choice but to quickly stumble out and away of a spontaneous kiss that a random parade goer was trying to plant on him. He knew this was a pride parade and people wanted to spread the love, but did they have to do it with random kisses? At this rate, he would rather prefer being sprinkled with glitter than having to ninja his way out of another kiss. But this time around, when he was backing away, his back ended up bumping into someone else, resulting in Rex to having to stumble right and almost losing his balance. “S-Sorry! S-Sorry!!” @rosegolddreamsx

And Rex dropped his head. “….Am I that obvious?” He asked, finding himself frowning when she made a comment about how she’ll make him anxious. He already was feeling anxious! It’s how he found himself within this situation in the first place! Inhailing deeply, Rex lifted his head and made a half attempt of a smile. “You’re right.” He confessed. “I-I am having a hard time with this and it’s incredibly frustrating because it’s not like this is the first nor last time I’ll be doing this!!” Why was this so difficult for him??? He then glanced at the Honey Nut Cheerios. “I’ll go with your suggestion. It, uh, has been a while since I last had these so good choice. Really good choice.”
Aurora smiled softly at him. “I didn’t mean to sound rude if I did....I just don’t want you to feel worse.” She was happy he went with her suggestion, but she didn’t want to show it too much in case that made him nervous again. She was a stranger after all, so she was sure it didn’t take much to look like a weirdo to him. “I hope this is the hardest part of your shopping trip. But if you need anymore help, feel free to ask me. I don’t really get out that much...at least not to the grocery store. I live alone at the moment...for the most part. So I stock up because the journey is a little far.”

“Exactly!” Rex exclaimed, while throwing his hands up into the air. “It’s not just the choice in cereal! It’s also deciding on which brand to pick, and then there’s the sub section of the various flavors offered which then becomes a predicament within itself because some brands has a lot to choose from and that’s just, uh, well, it becomes even more overwhelming than it already is….” At this, he sighed. See, this is why he couldn’t decide on just one. But at the suggestion for Honey Nut Cheerios, the male blinked and glanced at her. “You think so?”
Aurora nodded her head. “I do think it the right choice for you. It is sweet, a good brand, and healthy. Plus there are so many little rings in the box that it’ll last you for a while. “ Now she was wondering if she should get herself some cereal. She didn’t drink milk, but she did find coconut milk rather nice. She hadn’t had a simple breakfast like that in months. “I really think it’s the best choice for you. And I feel like if I give you another option it will make you anxious...which I could be wrong about, but you’ve already been having a hard time with this and I don’t wanna make it any harder.”

Aurora was so happy to see people enjoying each other’s company while in her favorite place by the forest. She didn’t have to travel far for the event for once, and if she was tired she could just walk back to her cottage! Everyone there seemed to have a smile on their face. At least most people. She noticed one man in particular looked a little off, so she figured that was the perfect time to grab a small dessert and make small talk. As she approached the man, she kept a sugary sweet smile on her face. “Hey,” she said sweetly, “you look like you could use something sweet! The food here is delicious.”

Aurora didn’t really go shopping much. She liked to stock up for a few weeks and stay out in her little cottage in the woods because she felt comfier there. But she was running low on a few things and knew a trip was overdue. And it was going good for the most part! She had no trouble finding things, people were kind to her. And then the cereal debate started. She thought it was adorable the way he looked through everything, but she didn’t want to make him nervous until he tried to speak to her. So when he she let out a light laugh,. “It is very hard. There’s so many flavors...maybe honey nut cheerios are the best choice for you? They taste really good and are healthy for you.”
“Maybe I should go with this one….. O-or,…… I should go with this one instead!” Rex mumbled to himself, as he began to reach for a box of cinnamon toast crunch, only to pause mid-grab, switch gears, and go for the frosted flakes instead. And in a similar fashion, just as he was about to grab onto the frosted flakes, he once again, came to a halt. His eyes trailed towards yet another box of cereal that sat next to the frosted flakes, cheerios. “Oh…….Then again…..cheerios are healthier! And heartier!” He said, but rather than going for it like he did with the pervious two, Rex took a step back and released a frustrated yet confused sighed. “Why is it so hard to decide on a box of cereal!!!”
