"Well are you a [controversial identity] supporter???"
My friend I do not know what to tell you here. My rule is and remains "I don't care what you call yourself because your actions and who you are as a person is more valuable to me" and "as long as everyone in the situation is an adult and is giving enthusiastic consent I genuinely do not give a fuck what you do" and "words are stupid and people are complicated so it doesn't matter if The Words Are Wrong as long as it makes you happy"
I'm a longer tables not higher walls kind of guy. Have a seat. Break bread with me. Tell me a story over dinner. I think that'll be better for the both of us.

a little note to that side of the community. if your so called "anti-harassment" doesn't include harassment against antis, then you are not welcome in the proship community.
and to any antishippers, fanpol, and those similar that have been receiving harassment, death threats, and anon hate from proshippers and those similar, please know that you don't deserve it. you don't owe proshippers nor problematic ships support, especially if you're against them for your own reasons. so long as you aren't harassing the "other side", you're doing great! i love you!

this post has been made hundreds of times before but it bears repeating. you cannot be proship if you harass antis. i get it, they suck, they really fucking do, but at the end of the day they're still humans behind the screen with their own lives and shit. they have emotions just like we do and to harass them goes against what we stand for. proship is to be against the harassment of others for what they consume in fiction, it would make us hypocrites to harass others when we can just as easily block and report them.

but seriously though, i really hate those types of anti "comebacks" that are just like
"well you support child abuse, so your opinion doesn't count"
"you literally think incest is valid, shut the fuck up"
"at least i don't support pedophilia 🤢"
like... okay??? neither do i. i support fiction, if that's what you mean. i support the idea of anti-censorship. i support the idea of letting people write whatever the fuck they want. i never said anything about thinking that people who go out there and fuck their little siblings or whatever are cool and valid and aren't doing anything wrong.
i mean, following your logic, are you also pro-murder because your like horror movies and gore? or does this argument only apply to the things you personally don't like?

I just saw post saying that Ao3 has """""no age checks""""" and all I want to say is THE BUTTON THAT YOU CLICK TO SAY THAT YOU ARE OKAY WITH VIEWING ADULT CONTENT IS THE AGE CHECK.
by clicking that button you are consenting to view adult content and saying that you are of the age where you can legally view it.
IT'S NOT SOME COSMETIC THING
IT IS A LEGAL DISCLAIMER

Fictional characters are concepts. They do not have rights. They do not have rights to abuse. Writers are, however, real people with rights.

Since I just saw some Ao3 discourse across my dash again, I just want to say: I think it would be great if there was a similar site to Ao3 that was explicitly kid-friendly and heavily moderated. I’m against turning Ao3 into that site, but I think it would be good if that site existed. I don’t care enough to actually make it happen myself, but I’d probably cross-post some of my stories there and maybe donate to keep it running. This is not meant as some sort of gotcha, I think people should really get on that because it would be a net good for fandom overall.

I hate that every time someone calls out a pedophile, me and many others have to ask “is this about anime characters or real children?”
THIS SHOULD NOT BE A QUESTION EVER.

i think the answer to more diverse art and media is not to keep going to fancy schools and forcing our way into these fields i think we just need to steal art supplies and tech and squat in buildings and show our own movies and pieces and concerts and everyone pays what they can and no one is turned down for being broke or bad and we just ignore every honor or award show ever

No author is entitled to comments, to interaction, to reblogs or likes or reviews or anything, but in a community where you’re essentially a bunch of indie writers, that’s the lifeblood that keeps people *posting*. Writing doesn’t necessarily stop, but when someone feels like no one gives a shit whether you’re sharing or not, you quit sharing.

Couldn't sleep, so I decided to work on some projects. While taking a break, I wanted to grind XP in Area Zero in Scarlet, ya? And lo and behold: *fifth* shiny in Scarlet. I was watching a PM7 Video, too, right as I noticed it!!! I am losing my mind. It's 4:17 AM and I couldn't scream or I'd wake up my fam!
