I’m a fan of a lot of different shows and games but at the moment (as you could probably tell) I make a lot of Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact fanart.

I made a Gallawelt chart based on my headcanons 😔🩷💛

I know Gallagher’s age isn’t confirmed and that the 13 is to represent Death in the Arcana but I also like the theory that Gallagher is 13 in dog years.

Gallagher is usually the bigger spoon because even though Welt is taller Gallagher he’s bigger figure wise. However since Welt is taller I could also see him being the bigger spoon sometimes

Lends clothes and borrows clothes is heavy on the lending because Gallagher loves seeing Welt in his clothes, but Welt prefers wearing his own clothes because he can’t stand Gallagher’s ‘gaudy’ colors XD plus none of Welt’s clothes would even fit Gallagher

Gallagher calls Welt ‘hero’ at first just to tease him and make Welt flustered but after awhile it kinda grows on him. I could also just see them calling each other the standard ones like baby, dear, dearest.

I considered putting Gallagher as an extrovert but I think because of what Siobhan said about him not opening up to people he has more introverted tendencies. He likes socializing with people at work but afterwards he gets tired and kinda drained so he recharges with Welt. Welt on the other hand I think he’s a little more extroverted because he used to be a teacher and he clearly loves looking after March, Dan Heng and the trailblazer so his social battery is much higher than Gallagher’s.

Gallagher’s love language is taking Welt on dates, making him drinks and just spending time with him whereas Welt expresses his love more through words of affirmation, poems, letters, and ofc drawings but that’s more of an action thing

Confessions first, I think Gallagher just wouldn’t be able to help himself. The moment he meets Welt at the bar he’d start flirting with him. As actual confessions go Gallagher fell first but Welt fell harder, so Welt says “I love you” first

The bug one is so silly bc I think Gallagher would scream about the bug and Welt would rush in to defend him only for Gallagher to find the bug really adorable XD

It’s canon that Himeko cannot cook so l feel like Welt would do most of the cooking before Dan Heng showed up. I think Gallagher would be a decent cook but he specializes in drinks.

Gallagher is very cuddly with Welt when he allows it but Welt is more reserved. Actually I feel like they’d both be more private with their affection but if anyone were to initiate pda it would be Gallagher.

I think Gallagher being the overprotective one is kind of on the nose so I thought it would be really cute if Welt was actually the overprotective one especially after the Penacony quest but I won’t give spoilers. Basically because of what happened to Gallagher and also just people flirting with him at the bar he’d naturally get more protective and jealous. Gallagher however doesn’t really care because has a lot of faith in Welt but if someone got a little too close he’d probably wrap an arm around Welt’s waist or interrupt the conversation.

I really don’t see Gallagher dating a lot of people while he was thinking about his plan and I know Welt has some romantic history with Tesla and they look after Joey together but beyond that I think Welt assumed he liked Tesla because it was expected of him but going out into the galaxy he realizes he never really liked girls. That being said I don’t intend on playing Honkai Impact 3rd so I could be wrong but this is just my headcanon fight me /j from what I’ve seen I don’t really like Tesla I’m sorry she’s kinda annoying—

Himeko herself said that Welt talks less and less about going home so really I think he’s just accepted the express as his new home as much as he probably still cares about Joey and the others

My headcanons about their sexualities are less solid tho. I really could see it either way with Gallagher being gay and Welt being bisexual or anything else.

GallaWelt has become a comfort ship of mine. Here’s a snippet of a fic I’m writing about them:

The best part of the job? Whenever he’s asked that question, Gallagher’s answer isn’t quick. He smiles, scratches his chin and hums softly. Sometimes he says it’s the mixology; making different drinks all night, customizing each one to suit the tastes of the patrons. Sometimes he says it’s the atmosphere; warm lighting, music from his teenage years on the speakers, customers laughing and talking to each other. But if he’s feeling honest, he’ll say it’s the regulars. He loves connecting with people, loves it when they keep coming back, surprised when he remembers their orders.

If he’s feeling really honest though, (he never is) he’ll admit that it’s one regular in particular. The art professor that sits in the same corner table every Friday night with his sketchbook. He orders a single scotch, neat, with a side of ice water and slowly nurses it until he’s satisfied with whatever he’s drawing.

Gallagher is used to regulars, he’s been running this bar for 15 years, and he’s been a bartender for far longer. Usually he gets to know his regulars through conversation as he makes their drinks night after night. However, he knows next to nothing about Professor Yang, the man with the sketchbook. He learned his last name and profession from another one of his regulars: a student of Professor Yang’s. The man doesn’t make conversation when he orders, very awkward whenever Gallagher tries to learn anything about him. He doesn’t get him, doesn’t understand why he keeps coming back. He’s sure as hell not complaining though.

What if I cried myself to sleep tonight—-

"You asked me what I wanted." Gallagher uncrossed his arms, finally tearing his eyes away from the altar where Mikail rested. Emotions of all sorts drifted over his features, grief, mourning, and loss hanging heavily amongst them, but also fear, desperation, and the smallest amount of hope.

"Ah, I did." Beside him, Welt recalled their earlier conversation. Their eyes didn't meet, but Gallagher could tell he was working through something, calculating and devising whatever the next course of action should be for himself and the Nameless.

Gallagher tilted his head. "Still wanna know?"

"If you are willing to share, I would like to know," Welt replied.

"Welt Yang," Gallagher chuckled as he cupped Welt's chin, forcing their gazes to lock. The sun was setting on Penacony, and consequently, his time left guarding the dream, but there was one more thing he had to do, even if it was selfish. He knew Welt might hate him for it, but that was a risk he was willing to take for ten seconds of realizing his perfect dream. "I want you to fall in love with me."

He felt rather than heard the hitch in Welt's breath before their lips locked. Gallagher didn't dare look him in the eyes, afraid of what he might see there. Fear licked the back of his neck like a hot flame dragging him through hell, and he almost stepped away, but Welt melted to him like a balm, cool on his frazzled thoughts, comforting to his old bones.

Kissing Welt was like breathing for the first time in centuries, or drinking an aphrodisiac that never ended, or more appropriatly, a dream. If this was the only moment he had left, he was glad it was this one.

I’m so obsessed with Gallawelt it’s crazy.

First of all it’s canon Welt has issues sleeping, Gallagher has a pet named Dormancy and I feel like he’d take a lot of naps X,D

Gallagher is a history fictionologist and Welt is a history buff animator. They both create fiction and also Gallagher himself is the fiction—-

Also he calls Welt a hero 😭 not to his face but it still means a lot to me. Gallagher really admires the nameless.

Solitaire is one of my favorite books I’ve read if not my all time favorite. I really appreciate Tori as a character and once again she kind of has a grumpy sunshine relationship with Michael Holden.

“Tea is the elixir of life” has to be my favorite quote 😭

It’s just such a sweet book about friendship and love and if you’ve read or watched Heartstopper you also get more Nick and Charlie content which is fun to see.
