Could you do fic for Fernando Alonso with wife reader? She was with him at the Australian GP and consoled him when the stewards decided to give him 20s penalty for causing George's crash. Add something else to it if you want to. Thanks!! :))
A/N: hiii sorry this took so long and sorry it's just a little drabble!! hope you like it!!
You'd been to your fair share of your husband's races over the years, and you'd seen him have his scrapes with the other drivers too. It didn't seem to be too different this time, as far as you could tell, but the stewards had decided otherwise. Fernando stormed into his driver room where you were waiting for him, prepared to have to calm him down.
"Mi amor..." you started, taking one of his hands in yours, "it happens. It's shit, but it happens"
He sighed and sat down next to you, resting his head on your shoulder. You knew there was nothing more you could say that would make him feel better - only time and perhaps a chat with George would do that - but that didn't mean there was nothing you could do. You carded your fingers through his hair, coaxing him through the inevitable adrenaline comedown you knew he'd be experiencing.
Eventually, your peace and quiet was disturbed by a team member fetching Fernando for interviews, and you were happy to let him go as you knew you'd done all you could to make him feel better.
