Chrome corundum castable is castable refractory material which adopts Al2O3 and Cr2O3 as main raw material. Chrome corundum castable belongs to neutral refractory castable, during production, coarse aggregate, fines and powder material are mixed with given proportion, then certain quantity of binder and additive are added into the mixture. During construction, certain quantity of binder, coagulant and water are added into chrome corundum  castable and fully mixed by stirring, then it can be used for casting. The ratio of coarse, middle and fine aggregate can be adjusted according to actual requirements. Pure calcium aluminate cement and phosphate (aluminum dihydrogen phosphate) are usually used as the binder of chrome corundum castable.

The castables are produced by adding some silicon carbide, mullite and steel fiber, to enhance the tensile property, strength and thermal shock resistance on the basis of the technology of optimized wear resistance castables. It is used in cutting direction entrance of cyclone separator and "target area" on cartridge of circulating fluidized bed boiler, which are the worst wear part.

The working principle of CFB boiler is that: low calorific value fuels(coal gangue, inferior anthracite, etc) is crushed and charged into combustion chamber, the fuels is blew into fluidizing state by furnace bottom air blower, then fuel is combusted to supply heat. CFB boiler has strong adaption to different kinds of coals. In CFB boiler, coal powders recycling times is large, so its combustion rate can reach to 98%. CFB boiler also features in high thermal efficiency, good desulfurization effect, low air pollution and so on, so it is an ideal thermal equipment for steam supply equipment, heat supply and power generating.

Refractory plastic mix is semi-hard refractory material with certain degree of plasticity, usually made into mud shape. The main application of refractory plastic mix is refractory lining patching. The deformation index of plastic mix is usually between 15%~40%. During application, plastic mix will have plastic deformation and won’t crack or strip. The composition of plastic refractory is similar to other monolithic refractory, it is composed of refractory aggregate and powder, binder and plasticizer. The categories of plastic refractory is classified by binders and main raw materials. By binders types, plastic mix is divided into clay bonded plastic mix, phosphate acid bonded plastic mix, aluminum phosphate bonded plastic mix, tar-pitch or resin bonded plastic mix, etc. By main raw material types, plastic mix is divided into silica plastic mix, fireclay plastic mix, high alumina plastic mix, corundum plastic mix, zircon plastic mix, carbon/silicon carbide plastic mix, magnesia plastic mix, magnesia chrome plastic mix, etc. The most often used refractory plastic mix is aluminum silicate plastic mix.

Corundum Castable Refractory Introduction

Corundum castable refractory is also called adamant castable, it is a kind of unshaped refractory which contains at least 90% of Al2O3, and its main crystalline phase is corundum. corundum castable is composed of tabular corundum aggregate, fines and high alumina binder. Based on different applications, various kinds of ingredients can be added into corundum castable to enhance its thermal, chemical and mechanical performances. For example, chrome corundum castable which has high refractoriness can be applied in carbon black furnace, coal gasifier lining. zirconia corundum castable which has excellent glass corrosion resistance is suitable for glass kiln. Composite corundum castable with specific composition can be used for various industrial kilns and furnaces such as cement rotary kiln, nonferrous metal smelting furnace, steel industry and so on.

High Chrome Brick for Coal Water Slurry Gasifiers   High chrome brick, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance and good high temperature mechanical properties, is mainly used as the working linings of the coal water slurry gasifier, petrol coke pressurized gasifier and other melting devices where acid alkali slag corrosion is serious.   So far, the high chrome brick has been used in the coal water slurry gasifiers in more than 30 plants with excellent performance.The effective life of bricks working on the imported coal water slurry gasifier is about 10000h and the maximal service life reaches 23000h. The bricks were awarded the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress by Ministry of Chemical Industry and the Second Prize of Henan Provincial Science & Technology Progress in 1999. The annual capacity of the chrome brick is 5000 tons.
