Me, delusional, watching the st5 trailer: "RONANCE CRUMBS???????"

They have this whole ass couch to sit on and they’re sitting THAT close?

WHY I THINK RONANCE MIGHT BECOME CANON (OR IS THE ENDGAME THAT MAKES THE MOST SENSE FOR BOTH OF THEM HEAR ME OUT)

Nancy has been in relationships with both of the men in her love triangle in past seasons (/is still technically with jonathan ig) and has EXPIRIENCED DISCOMFORT IN BOTH OF SAID RELATIONSHIPS,,,

she didn't love Steve (literally called their relationship and love 'bullshit' while drunk) and then got with Jonathan (but honestly they don't work either, her dream is to be a journalist and their goals don't align AT ALL)

Season 1 Jancy seemed legit but honestly I don't think it works anymore? Obviously they care about eachother so much, but ESPECIALLY with Jonathan's speech in the S5 trailer I feel like this might be set up for either a break up between them (not out of hate/the result of a fight but a general agreement) OR jonathan dying (because of the scene of Nancy washing blood off her hands while crying later in the trailer).

So at this point it would feel weird and basic and 'choosing the safe option' to keep her with EITHER OF THEM when she's clearly not happy.

Unless there's some major character development for Steve or Jonathan I do not think they are gonna work out.

Which leaves two alternate options:

1. she ends up single (which would be great omgggg), show her independence she's always clearly had and let's her pursue her dreams

or 2. she ends up with Robin (EVEN GREATER) they literally have sooooo much chemistry too like WTF robin is super outgoing and literally told Steve she used to have the biggest crush on Nancy, and the writers don't believe in love at first sight so they would kindaaa be contradicting themselves if they made Robin get with Vicky considering the HUGE LACKKK of screentime Vicky has.

Also sooo many of the scenes in S4 seemed to point towards some sort of connection between Robin and Nancy, their side glances??? How they look at eachother?? The glance from the librarian at Robin like she KNEW what was up????? The way Robin talks about Nancy??????

Not to hate on Vicky, I think she works really well as a background/side character but honestly I think Robin deserves a more fleshed out character as a love interest instead of a background character who's only point is to give Robin a love interest.

The only way robvicky would feel less forced and more appealing would be if Vicky suddenly got heaps of screentime and character development, but considering she hasn't even been spotted in A SINGLE SCENE of s5, trailers, leaks and all, I honestly don't think that's happening.

Which means that, to me atleast, them ending up together wouldn't feel very satisfying- it's expected, basic, doesn't feel like it holds much substance or interest compared to other relationships. Which would feel, frankly, unfair and weird considering Robin is the only canon lesbian character currently.

And then we look at Robin and Nancy, who have been shown MULTIPLE TIMES next to each other in the trailer, + Robin with Murray (maybe Murray clocks her??? I don't think Murray is gonna clock byler but honestly it might work for Ronance if Nancy isn't present) (but NOT in the way Jancy was Murray'd, honestly I always thought how they got together was kindaa weird and a little out of character and could ALSO open possibilities of maybe Nancy felt pressured into that relationship with Jonathan- not that she didn't exactly WANT, it, moreso she THOUGHT she did and was suppressing other feelings, maybe similar to the Mileven situation just less intense idk)

So yeah. Thanks for reading my ramblings. I really want Ronance and Byler to happen but I know that if they do the GA will probably riot at the sight of canon lesbian & gay relationships for 4 main characters 😔😔😔
