hello! my name is myr, im going to be 19 in about a month, and i’m in a bit of a bind. my dad and i have almost always relied on social security and food stamps to keep us afloat! we’ve done relatively well, everything considered. things weren’t 100% comfortable, but my dad often buys us things we like like games, music, and the like. but july is different–social security cuts off all benefits after you either turn 19 or graduate high school–whichever happens first. i graduated on june the third, and that was the last month we got benefits. me and my dad were hoping to get about $300 in food stamps to replace most of the $494 we’ve received monthly (from just my benefits alone). my dad is disabled and so am i (but not as much), and i’ve been struggling with my mental health. however, that hasn’t cut my job search–ive applied to about 40 places, had 2 interviews, but no dice. i’ve done some freelance writing online, but that’s only so much money. i need to make about 500 dollars/month to keep us afloat(and that’s without the expenses i’m going to need to cover college classes in a few months), and a part time job can’t do that (though ive still been applying). but how many places are going to take a freshly graduated kid and give them a full time position? not many. so i figured it was time to take the fight here. i’m a writer, roleplayer, and an artist in my own right (wouldn’t say “graphic design is my passion,” but i’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve in terms of banners).

tl;dr: the job search is hard, we’re low on cash and need money for bills and groceries. i’m doing commissions for flash fiction, fanfic, one-acts and other literary works, as well as banners, graphics, and icons!

so here are some examples:

for writing, i wrote this drabble (trigger warning for alcohol and abuse, there are mentions of sexual themes, pda, emetophobia, terminal illness–basically, if you have a lot of textual triggers, dont read it), this story i wrote in 2013, this 10 minute play i wrote, and this drabble, which is a bit old, but shows my poetic prose (death tw).

time for pricing!: $3 for a banner. $1 for a set of 20 icons, and $2 upward for each 20 after that. i’ll recolor pictures for .50 cents, to a single tone tint. i’ll write flash fiction for 2 dollars per story, longer stories for 2 dollars per every 500 words, and plays are $4 per every 10 pages. if you feel like this is ridiculous, i am definitely flexible! and if you want to give more, i have a donation button. message me here, or email me at aochiltree96@gmail.com if you’re interested! that’s also my paypal email.

Does anybody who knows about succulents know what this little dude wants? It gets constant full sun, but it’s always reaching and curving to find more sun. The stem is firm and the top leaves are fine, but the bottom leaves keep shriveling and falling off (like in the picture on the right). I don’t overwater it at all. It gets watered about every week/week and a half. It shares a pot with another Echeveria, but the other one is incredibly happy! It’s big and full and won’t stop creating new growth!
