i’m so sure and confident kid ayato would 100% have a human friend.

🏀he gets suffocated from cordelia's behavior, runs away from the castle and runs into a boy.

🏀they get along by playing a game, ayato’s being overly competitive (it’s almost comedic to his human friend)

🏀he would try to hide the fact he's a vampire to not scary away his friend (he's a bit of a himbo so he'll have a few slip ups with showing his enhanced strength by deflating a basketball by accident)

🏀at one point, rather than sneaking his friend into a ball like shu did with edgar, he'd introduce him to laito and kanato. laito would be amused at best, kanato...probably won't have a liking towards it.

🏀watch ayato panic and cover his human friend’s ears as kanato goes on a rant about the audacity of a lowly human to be in their presence

No, being honest now❗ I know they are all traumatized vampire jerks with their own problems and stuff, however the constant poor treatment of Ayato by the Sakamaki brothers it’s brutal, he’s a great victim. I even remember those times when they used to make fun of him when:

1. He wasn’t even in the room.

2. There was no reason.

Seeing Ayato being used as a punching bag by the writers —especially in the last two games— makes me feel really bad for him honestly. I guess that’s part of being a protagonist.ㅤ(⁠´⁠(⁠ｪ⁠)⁠｀⁠）
