Friends, sad news came from Nordens Ark: a few days ago, the beautiful Loesje passed away 💔

She was seven years old.

Our condolences to the zoo staff and to all manulovers in the world. This year, many people got to know and love Loesje and her fluffy family.

Dear Loesje, thank you for the countless wonderful, positive emotions you gave us all and for your wonderful and fluffy Nordic daughters! We will miss you so, so much! Thomas with minuls will meet you on their drakkar! 🙏❤️‍🔥

⚡It’s time to meet Snezhana* the Pallas's cat from Novosibirsk zoo—Mia’s daughter and Snezhinka’s sister.

All this time, manulovers around the world thought she was male, but now you know: this marvelous little manul is, in fact, a lovely, fluffy young lady and another precious daughter of Mia. And, we must say, in her winter coat, she’s starting to look a lot like her mother! 💞

Surprised? It’s a Mexican manul novelón! 😅

* This manul doesn’t have an official name, but the moment we discovered she was female, we knew what to call her: “Oooh, so it’s Snezhana! Nice to meet you!” 😁

Karaganda the Pallas's cat 😺

He is an elder of Novosibirsk manul tribe, he's over 13 years old (his exact age is unknown because he came from the wild).

We affectionately call him Pirate because of a damaged eye 🖤

This damage is a consequence of a previous illness (probably – toxoplasmosis).

⚖️ Weighing of a Pallas's cat is an important procedure that allows zoologists to monitor the health of Pallas's cat kittens and ensure that the kittens are developing properly.

🍼 Newborn Pallas's cat kittens weigh only about 100-150 grams;

🔸 At the age of 1 month, kittens become about half a kilogram of fluffy happiness;

▫️ When they reach the age of 2 months, this happiness almost doubles, with an average weight of about 1 kg;

🔸 At the age of 3 months, Pallas's cat kittens weigh about 1.5–2 kg;

😺 The young Pallas's cat reaches its “adult” size and weight at the age of 1 year.
