when i went to alaska last summer, at all the parks and nature reserves and stuff there they of course had safety warnings about the wildlife.

for bears, the safety warnings were like, make noise, wave your arms, talk in a normal speaking voice, stay calm, don’t run, wait for the bear to move on which it will do 99% of the time, and you will be ok! 👍

for moose, the safety warnings were like. RUN.

To my fellow black ppl. Just draw. Just sing. Just do everything. You wanna cosplay an anime character? Do it. You wanna cosplay a cartoon character? Do it. You wanna draw your characters being black? Do it. You wanna sing covers of songs sung by white/asian ppl? Do it. You wanna only make black original characters? Do it.

Even if someone were to whitewash it or say "fixed it :)", just keep being you. Don't let that stop you for the love of us black ppl. Don't let it stop you from wanting to love yourself. You aren't doing it in a hateful way at all no matter who says you are, you're not. They are. And don't let them hurt you. Even if you are hurt mentally/emotionally, don't let them ruin your joy and self-love.

Just keep being you. Keep showing your love for being black. Racist ppl ofc will be pissed, cause they hate us. They hate us and that's that. Jealousy plays a part in this. You are beautiful. You are wonderful. Don't let white ppl erase you. Don't let asians erase you.Don't let anyone within our own black community erase you.

Hell at this point, if someone makes a black character "white", just go "You're right! I should include more albino/vitiligo black ppl :D !" or if it's like those AUs where a non-human character is turned white human, it's just an AU where said character is a human POC.

Or just let the racists fade into obscurity. Anyways, love yourselves. These the same ppl who hate on Black Lives Matter anyways and over-sexualize us no matter what we wear, do, or say.
