i know it's been said a million times before, but if you're starting to like izzy in season 2 i would HIGHLY recommend rewatching s1 and paying close attention to ed/izzy and their motivations. like try rewatching but keeping in mind the fact that they canonically do love each other. put aside the "izzy's doing this out of toxic masculinity and homophobia" lens and instead take a minute and view it from a "izzy is in deep unrequited love with ed and he doesn't even realize it yet all he knows is that ed is being taken from him be stede focking bonnet" lens.

i would pay special attention to e4! a lot of taika and con's acting is nonverbal watch their faces and look at what is not being said while they talk.

e6 and how little ed communicates to izzy or fang and ivan.

and e10 but this time think of it as a messy divorce

Summary: The story of Tayce and A'Whora, and how they came to be. Sequel to Never The Same, Always Together

September tumbles into Tayce’s life like a busy family coming in from a day of errands. It opens the door with its elbows, arms full of change and growth, and wipes away any semblance of calm or fun that the summer had left behind. August had been eating ice cream on Barmouth beach with her family, queueing down the street for the best chips ever at the Mermaid fish bar, dodging seagulls and basking in the rare bits of summer sun.

Fuck.

Fuck Fuck Fuck. I wanted to kiss him. Me, Dallas Winston, wanted to kiss another guy.

We made it back to Bucks place in no time thankfully. I quickly led us up to my room avoiding stepping on any of the people passed out around the house.

"My rooms the last one on the left," I told the younger boy motioning to the direction, "Make yourself at home ill be in in a second I just need to use the restroom kay?"

Johnny nodded giving me a small smile before heading down the hall. Damn. He looked so damn cute in my leather jack- ugh! What am I thinking? I'm not gay! Am I?

I made my way to the bathroom and stopped leaning on the sink. I knew I cared for the kid but that was all right? I'm Dallas Winston for god sakes! I don't care about anyone or anything.

Except Johnny Cade my brain reminded me again.

Fuck.

Well so what if I did? I couldn't say I've never thought about it...but what would everyone say? People aren't too kind to gays and the last thing I wanted is for Johnny to be targeted. Damn why does everything always have to be so damn complicated.

I finally finished up in the bathroom and walked over to my room.

I lightly nocked before walking in, "Hey Johnny you- what the hell are you doing on the floor?"

Johnny looks up from where he was laying, "Oh I ugh figured-"

I rolled my eyes and pointed to the bed, "Get on the bed dumbass I'm not having you sleep on the floor on my watch."

Johnny scurried up on the bed quickly and settled in.

I smirked at him and started to strip off my shirt feeling my necklace fall back to my bare chest.

I looked at johnny who was staring at me with those big brown eyes. His mouth was slightly open.

"Like what you see?" I teased and Johnny quickly looked away.

I chuckled and slowly got into the bed. I saw Johnny tense up "T-thanks again for letting me stay here Dal." Johnny whispered.

I answered by throwing my arm over  the boy and smirked as I felt all the tension drain from his body, "Night kid."

No matter what happens or what doesn't or how I feel or how I don't, I know as long as he's with me it will be okay.

"Goodnight Dal."

It wil be okay.

my version of a happy the outsiders ending/future for the gang

okay nobody asked for this but i’m doing it bc i want to,

and also nobody died including bob, that just didn’t happen. (this is the happy ending remember)

•we’ll go through them one at a time

•starting with ponyboy

•he went to college for arts in san francisco, he studied like every possible thing he could manage and he liked the college so much he just became a professor there after he graduated

•he lived in an apartment with hella dark academia aesthetic with his roommate, who is a punk rock lesbian

•curly follows him to san francisco and moves in bc i just love them okay

•ponyboy thrives there, everybody there is really like open minded and shit, so pony’s weird ass excels.

•as a side thing, he starts to write a script to the movie he’s been planning in his head since he was 14

•but he submits it to some company or smth idk how that works, anyway, and it gets the go ahead so now he’s currently living the dream and getting to make his own movie

•okay that’s pony, now soda

•obviously he doesn’t get drafted bc fuck that

•he gets over sandy and decides to focus on getting his life in order after pony goes off to college

•he and steve start doing side jobs in their part of town for like cheap mechanics services, and they save the money. It takes awhile, but they save up enough to buy the DX

•but business owning is harder than it looks so soda starts taking night classes to gradually get his high school diploma

•after many long shifts and spending literally all their time together steve and soda realize their feelings, get together and buy an apartment together

•they don’t want kids but their apartment is on the ground floor so u know what that means

•dogs!!!

•they have two doggies, the best of boys. One was a stray that soda took home first, steve made a deal: that they could keep him if he was named steve jr. they call him jr for short most of the time

•their second dog was bought at the pet store as an anniversary gift from steve to soda. he’s a border collie and they named him mickey after sodas old horse (two-bit adores this dog)

•okay so like steve’s kinda merged with that one so imma tie up some loose ends on his side

•he and evie break up after evie moves away to college after they graduate, no hard feelings they just knew it wouldn’t work out

•steve messes around with people here and there but he always kind of knew soda was the one 🥰🥰 but he also knew soda needed time to get over sandy so he waited until soda came to him first

•he actually moved out to an apartment before he and soda bought their one, he moved out of his parents house the second he could. the apartment he had was deadass falling apart though like everything was broken but he didn’t really care bc he was renting it and it wasn’t permanent

•then he and soda bought the DX and blah blah u know the rest

•oh but also soda gets him like a worn out *insert fancy car brand here* and steve does it up in his free time and it’s his pride and joy, other than soda and their dogs

•next up is darry

•there’s a period of time where he gets really lost after soda moved out with steve and pony went to college bc he’s not used to living on his own

•like he spent so long looking after everyone and now they don’t need it he’s just kinda like,, what now fam?

•after a conversation with a drunk two-bit, where two tells darry that he has a free house now and he can finally have girls over and get ‘freaky’

•darry realizes that it is kinda the next step, okay. not exactly what two-bit said. but he wanted a family of his own

•he stills works for the same place but he got a load of promotions and stuff so he’s way higher up now

•so he starts dating a really nice soc girl that he used to have a secret romance with back in high school, he didn’t tell anyone at first until they got serious

•they get married and the wedding is fuckin amazing, they have one for her soc family and separate one for the gang bc they knew the gang would go wild

•and they did, it was great, there are so many stories from that weekend bc everybody comes home for it and it’s the first time they’d seen eachother in a while

•darry and his wife have three girls bc darry realized that he wanted a busy house so big family it is

•oh speaking of house, they still live in the curtis house but the gang pitch in as a collective wedding gift to renovate it so it has like way more room and stuff

•darry has to dig out his old how-to-parent books from when he had to parent ponyboy bc he did not look over the parts about raising little girls and let me tell you, this man was so scared about messing up

•but him and his wife did a perfect job and the gang spoil the girls constantly. soda and ponyboy are the godfathers of the first two but they had to let one of darry’s wife’s brothers godfather the last one

•two-bit is next bc i wanna leave jally til last bc i have so many points to make for them boys

•okay so two-bit cleans up his act after his little sister settles down and has a baby

•she names the baby after him and two-bits like f u c k i have to be a good role model for this kid

•he checks his ass into therapy to help with his alcoholism

•he gets a job at the DX from soda and steve

•he and little keith and actually uncle and nephew g o a l s

•they’re so cute and when keith jr turned 6 two-bit saved up money and brought him to disney land so they could see mickey mouse together

•two-bit stills lives with his mother but not bc he’s relying on her, bc she’s in her old age now and low-key needs someone to look after her a bit

•(okay so here’s the thing, i love love the idea of lesbian marcia and cherry but i just don’t see it happening in a future ending bc there’s no way that cherry stays in tulsa)(also two and marcia are so cute, it’s definitely my fav het ship in the outsiders)

•so he and marcia reconnect after they run into eachother at the DX and they’re seeing eachother but it’s not serious yet

•last but not least johnny and dallas. i’m doing theirs as a pair bc what do you expect

•okay so like they’re already together, we been knew, they’ve been together longer than anyone but it wasn’t mentioned in the book bc ponyboy is an unreliable source as we all know

•so they are both head over heels for eachother, and dally low-key kidnaps johnny to come live with him at bucks as soon as he can

•with a lot of help from pony, johnny barely graduates but he’s really happy bc he never thought he would

•he also gets a part time job at the DX (soda and steve rlly do be throwing these jobs at ppl tho) after he graduates

•he gets another job working at some law firm as like an assistant, it’s so fuckin boring but it pays better than most small jobs in tulsa

•dally and him know they’re not staying in tulsa, but they also know that dallas is too restless to settle on one place

•and that’s why they buy a camper van, they decide to just travel until they find a place they rlly like

•so they set off after pony goes to college but before darry’s wedding

•their first destination is san francisco to visit ponyboy

•johnny constantly sends postcards back to everyone of really funny pictures he gets of dally, darry makes a photo album of them

•they come back to visit every once in a while, for like the holidays and stuff

•but they spent the first new years in new york, where dally shows johnny all around and johnny is like so impressed and it boosts dally’s ego so much

•soda and steve keep making like upgrades to the van every time they come back to tulsa so after a few years it’s like really cool

•they’re just so in love i can’t even do their road trip life justice in writing this

•basically everyone just has a really good life and it’s really great and everyone is happy

  Johnny sat on Dally’s lap in the middle of an empty room. The room was empty for one reason, it was Dal’s room at Buck’s place. They’d been there for an hour or so before anything had happened. Boy, did something happen.

  Johnny’s legs were on either side of Dally’s body and Dally’s hands were gripping Johnny’s hips tightly. Dallas nipped at Johnny’s jaw and he leaned his head back. Dally nibbled down the raven-haired boy’s neck until he reached the soft spot he knew too well.

  Johnny’s hips rolled over Dally’s in search of anything as Dal moved his hands under Johnny’s shirt to Johnny’s lower back, pressing them closer together.

  “You know… maybe we should… tell the… the gang… about us.” Johnny managed to get the words out in between muffled moans. He was trying not to be as loud as normal, since there wasn’t a party this time to drown them out.

“Come on Dally, I’m cold.”

Johnny pat the bed beside him as he looked up at Dally with puppy eyes. Dally, in his infamous blue boxers, leaned against the dresser staring at Johnny.

“I don’t cuddle.”

Johnny rolled his eyes and turned away from Dallas.

“Whatever you say. Goodnight.”

He reached up and turned off the light before settling into the sheets. Johnny was fully asleep before Dally gave into his wants. He carefully climbed into the bed, his back touching Johnny’s. He pulled the covers over his shoulders and buried his head into the pillow. On the other side of the bed soft pink lips curled into a smile.

At three in the morning the whimpering could be heard coming from the left side of the bed. It was quiet, almost like the source didn’t want anyone to hear it. The dog must want to go out he thought, before remembering that the dog was downstairs. Soon he realized the sound was emitting from the body next to him. He rubbed his eyes and rolled over to face Johnny. He draped an arm over his waist and pulled him close.

“Shh,” He whispered into the brunet’s ear. “You’re safe.”

The alarm rang again, telling the world it was time to be alive, to live. Only the two bodies closest didn’t listen to its words. The blonde reached over the mass in front of him and hit the button that told it to shut up. He buried his head into the brunet’s neck and groaned.

“I thought you didn’t do cuddling,” A soft voice said.

“Hush up,” A muffled voice replied.

The soft voice laughed and placed his hand on the taller’s hand.

“I need to get up.”

“No.”

“Dal.”

“No.”

Johnny laughed again and brought Dally’s hand up to his lips. He placed a soft kiss to it and smiled.

“Ten minutes.”

They settled back into each other as the sun rose higher. It was a peaceful morning for the both of them. The birds chirped outside as they fed their babies. Dogs could be heard barking to be let out and cars ran away from the small neighborhood looking for a better life.

Soon the ten minutes had passed and once again the blonde refused to let go. He wrapped his arm around the small waist that laid next to him tighter.

“Dal,” The waist spoke quietly into the blonde’s hair. “Let me go.”

Once again the blonde refused.

Johnny sighed, “Alright this is your fault.”

He ran his fingers intentionally over the blonde’s stomach. Soon enough laughter rose from the bed and the blonde rolled over onto his back. Johnny climbed on top and continued to tickle him.

Dally swatted at his hands, “Johnny! Okay, okay!”

Eventually Johnny stopped and peered at the man below him. He had a soft smile on his lips.

“What?” Dally asked as he ran his hands through his hair.

“You’re just so cute.”

Dally’s face turned a slight shade of pink. He wrapped his arms around the small mass on top of him and pulled him down. He kissed his head softly and rubbed his back.

“Dal?”

“Yeah?”

“I think I love you.”

Dally’s heart sped up at the words he always wanted to hear from him and although he didn’t say anything back, Johnny knew he loved him too.

Dally and Curly both have piercings dally has an an ear piercing and eyebrow piercing, Curly has multiple ear piercings( he wears fake ear stretchers from Claire’s) snakebites an eyebrow piercing , a septum piercing and tattoos all of which they gave each other while drunk the piercings were done with safety pins and needles sterilised with vodka (that somehow didn’t get infected)and the tattoos are stick and pokes, Their mainly just stupid stuff but Curly had the bright idea to get ponyboy’s name tattooed under his collarbone ponyboy thought it was stupid but kinda romantic Darry did not
