"Hey Bulldog" performed by Fanny (featuring the extra verse they wrote) live on Beat-Club in 1971 (x)
#Fanny band#Alice de Buhr#Jean Millington#June Millington#Nickey Barclay#i always thought hey bulldog is underrated because sth is weak about this song#like composition wise it's really good but sth about recording or production couldve been better#but this cover? it's perfect#like i screamed when i first saw this cover#it blew my mind#i really think this cover is better thsn the original one

vaguely unhinged yes tidbits that are less cursed:
- jon, chris, tony and bill shared a rented home in the very early days of the band. jon forgot an entire ass meal in his room after he moved out and the following inhabitants found it under the bed
- big generator was *partially* recorded while the whole band was staying in a castle in italy. supposedly there were a lot of really wild parties and jon got kicked out and told to take a three month vacation because everyone got tired of him being an ass about their parties
- jon and trabin wrote talk in a motel they were staying in together. jon then LIVED in trabin's HOUSE when they were recording the album
