    The force of her swing is telling of what little experience she’s had, his body unflinching as fingers wrap around her weapon and jerks it from her grip with ease. A Galran child would put up a better fight, he’s sure of it.

He can’t say he expected anything else from her other than to turn tail and flee, yet he still finds himself suppressing an exasperated roll of his eye. That’s what they always do.

Almost comically casually, Sendak steps back, falling into a practiced and readied stance as the Altean runs, stumbling away from him. He doesn’t move– he doesn’t need to, as his cybernetic rears back, unfurls its claws, and launches itself toward her, intent on clamping around her midsection, or whatever else he can reach.

     She missed the bored roll of his eye in her panicked flee - sparing her the knowledge that she is nothing more than an annoyance, prey who runs just fast enough to slip away for a second but never truly escape, her strongest attempts simply delaying the inevitable.

The moment she felt cold machinery dig into her flesh, she let out a piercing scream that might have called the heart of anyone but the heartless creature set on her misery. Its grip was so tight, so little care for the one entrapped she felt it would split her in two.

“No!” she demanded, pounding her fists on her captors hand. “Let me go! Monster!”
