jeonghan should have known that his entire day would have been a mess from how his coffee tasted that morning. way too bitter for his taste, despite the fact he dumped at least three whole sugar packets into the cup. he had a class that afternoon, it was more like a babysitting session rather than a dance class. jeonghan adores to put on a front that he can’t handle kids, but it’s quite the opposite. he loves teaching kids how to piruet and prance around like real professional ballerinas.

that is, until one of the kids smacked some chewing gum right at the base of the long hair jeonghan takes so, so much pride in.

the rest of the class is a blur for jeonghan, the walk home equally as forgetful. jeonghan might as well have broke down the door of his and taehyung’s apartment, the older throwing his dancing bag across the room with a high pitched scream of agony. ��taehyung! kim fucking taehyung!” jeonghan screeched loudly, dropping face first onto their couch with an exaggerated sob coming from his body. “i hate kids. i hate everyone. my life is over. get the scissors, you’re going to have to cut my hair right now.”

"what the hell do you mean, declined ?! swipe it again !"

it took a couple more swipes and a few more pitiful stares from the employee for jeonghan to realize he was out of luck. jeonghan really messed up this time.

if there is anything he hates, it's looking like an idiot. and, gosh, does he look like a huge one at the moment. only he would forget to pick up his own check from work, right when it was his turn to pick up groceries. he may have went a bit crazy with ordering makeup the night before, which would speak for the abundance of declined cards. not to mention, jeonghan always gets carried away every time he goes to the supermarket, throwing in this and that and just about everything the eye can see until he deems himself satisfied. it's something poor taehyung has to deal with constantly.

jeonghan is definitely holding up a line at the register, staring at his empty wallet while gnawing at his bottom lip. just maybe he could get out of this with all the food in tow. maybe. if the gods were on his side today, he could get it done. he tells himself that in an attempt to calm his own nerves.

he glances to his side at whoever has the unfortunate chance to be next to him and huffs a bit, eyebrows furrowing together in frustration. "so...have you done your good deed for today? good karma and all that, i heard it's real."

he’s never had someone get him this wound up and stressed, not even the customers who were worse than this guy… maybe it was just the fact that he mistook him for a woman.

“here’s your menu, sir.” the brunette makes sure to emphasize his correction, smiling as he holds the menu out to him.

all jeonghan could hear from the bus boy were excuses upon excuses. in jeonghan’s book, it’s only fair to give him a bit of a hard time. totally justified. besides, jeonghan almost thought the enthusiasm was a bit admirable. more annoying, that’s a given, but an irritable cute nonetheless.

“i don’t care much for how busy you all are. you seem just fine running around here and smiling like that, hm?” jeonghan simply watches the employee scamper around to fetch him a menu, the long haired male smirking a bit to himself at the hell he was about to put the poor guy through. well, at least he can’t say he’s had a boring shift that day.

he props his head up with one hand as he watched the brown haired male approach him once more, jeonghan offering him a small grin that was simply as condescending as it gets. he takes the menu without another word, only using his free hand to gesture towards the open seat in front of him, his eyes never leaving the print of the menu. “just sit already. it’s hardly even busy,” jeonghan scoffs with a flip of his light hair over his shoulder, finally glancing up at the brunette with his eyebrows raised in expectation. “or don’t. it’s up to you, but i’ll make sure to catch your manager on my way out.”

“i’m so sorry, miss! i’ll clean this up for you real quick!” lifting his head, he glances up at the woman and oh. shit. not a woman. “oh– i’m sorry, i just–” with a blush spreading across his cheeks, taehyung turns to hurry and clean up the table, wanting to disappear out of embarrassment.

nothing put jeonghan in a sour mood quite like poor service did. well, that’s a bit of a stretch, but nonetheless, the long haired male is seething by the time a manager is set his way to diffuse the situation. jeonghan isn’t exactly easy to settle down, especially when he’s set in of his famous rampages. he really should have just gone home instead of venturing into the cozy restaurant, but he knew if he followed through with that, any semblance of an appetite would have vanished.

it’s his first instinct to raise his eyebrows at being mistaken as a woman. at least now he’s got someone to entertain him as he waits for his food.

“hm, miss? it’s common decency to buy me dinner first before that,” the words roll easily off of his lips, a bit of a snide smirk playing at his lips. he glances back down at the table, wiped bare of any trace of crumbs. he points a finger at one specific spot, only doing so because...well, why not? “you missed a spot, bus boy. do you always slack off or is today just a special occasion?”

so he’s had a pretty rough childhood, but as far as he’s concerned, he’ll make sure everyone believes he’s the richest kid around

jeonghan has become an expert at portraying himself as this gullible, sweet, innocent persona and it works really well in him getting his way lmaO 

even though he’s never had the best, he definitely likes to pretend he is the best like head to toe in fake expensive clothes smh what a poser am i right kids

there’s rare occasions that his true personality comes out and even then, it’s sometimes mistaken as sass since covers up his slip ups so damn well 

in reality, he’s so manipulating to the point where it’s second nature to him!! so watch out, this one’s a snake 100000% 

he always had this desperate need to be adored and loved ever since he was little, so of course it’s been his dream to be an idol and he really will do just about anything to get to the top

he took scammed into ballet classes ever since he was little, so now he teaches kids ballet now that he’s older!! it’s the only place/time where he’s genuinely sweet and having fun tbh

if you look reeeeaaaally close just maybe you’d be able to tell he’s built himself up like this after years of insecurity and inadequacy, but he would rather drop dead then let anyone see him like that
