There’s this country- Poland, heard of it?

Poland is a liiiittle not so important country in Europe and nobody didn’t really give a damn about it until few years ago. I’m begging you, please read this post.

Poland is about to become one of the few countries in the world to completely illegalise abortion. Clergy is dictating the government on how to govern and the government is dicating us how to live, while breaking Human Rights and our Constitution. There are priests saying that a woman taking a morning-after pill after being raped commit a bigger crime than the rapist. Not even mentioning that this pill is for prescription.

Media stopped being objective and independent, and some of our channels look like this:

Yesterday on Friday the 23rd there was a massive protest and in the capital only there were 55 thousand people on the streets.

Police has become government’s troops for silencing the loud ones. Remember the Independance Day “parade” in Poland everyone was talking about? It looked like this

Police did NOTHING. A crime? No! Fascists? Where! Hate crimes? Didn’t quite hear that!

There have been protests called “Black Protests” all over the country to demonstrate the madness of this bill. We were on the streets a year ago, months ago, and this week. And the police? Well

Basically, the bill puts the fetus over the mother. Prenatal tests? Won’t happen. The fetus is unrecoverably damaged and probably will die seconds after birth? You still have to give birth to it. There is no “fetus” in the bill, there is “an unborn child” even if it’s been in your uterus for 2 days.

Polish government was offering money to women for giving birth to a disabled child.

I’ve been saying “women” but please do not forget trans men and nb people etc in this!

Can you even imagine? You’re a pre-transition trans gay guy. You want to have sex and you do. You keep it safe, but well, you never know. And then you find out that you’re pregnant and you can’t do anything about it. Try to imagine the dysphoria, people telling you that you’ll be a wonderul mother. And imagine the fact that there is no other way than to take care of the abortion yourself because you can’t afford to go abroad. Imagine the suicides.

Imagine not having a choice.

Erasing the cannon sexuality of a lgbt character is homophobic. Tons of men were and are still like Marvin and nerasing that is erasing the countless men like him. Marvin married Trina because of his internalized homophobia and self hatred. That is it! Surprise! Erasing the history of gay men marrying into straight relationships because of internalized homophobia is and always will be homophobic.
