“The streets of Prague were a fantasia scarcely touched by the twenty-first century - or the twentieth or the nineteenth, for that matter. It was a city of alchemists and dreamers, its medieval cobbles once trod by golems, mystics, invading armies. The wind carried the memory of magic.” || Prague, 2018

2 posts in onee, yall It’s not very often that I actually buy new copies of books, but Human Acts by Han Kang is the kind where I don’t look at the price tag. I LOVED the Vegetarian, can’t wait to read this one. Might interrupt my TBR challenge for it.
Also, currently reading The Wangs vs the World. Admittedly, I am on page 10, but it’s already made me laugh out loud. Hoping to really breeze through it on Sunday, when I have actual free time lol.

Spooky Reads
All Hallows’ Eve is almost upon us and that means it’s time for some spooky reads. Here are some creep-tacular recommendations for the scary season.
The Asylum series by Madeleine Roux – Serial killers, tortured asylum patients, and mysterious murders that no one can solve? These books will have you trembling in your boots.
Dracula by Bram Stoker – A classic, Gothic tale of mystery and horror about our favourite creatures that love to suck.
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - Spectacularly creepy, spine-tinglingly horrifying, and surprisingly funny. A fabulous, quick read that I highly recommend.
Lost Boy by Christina Henry – What could possibly be scary about Peter Pan? You’ll have to ask his lost boys.
Carrie by Stephen King – We all love a girl with telekinetic powers. But Carrie is one girl you don’t wanna mess with.
The Mara Dyer trilogy by Michelle Hodkin – So paranormal it’s impossible to describe. Nothing seems real and time is an illusion. This series shades everything with doubt and keeps you guessing right ‘til the very end.
Warning: Most of these books contain violence, gore, and all of them contain horror themes. Read with caution.

I will continue to stay waist deep in denial that it is in fact Spring here and ratchet up those cozy Autumn vibes, enlisting my Penguin Classics editions of Dracula and Frankenstein.
Are you the kind of person who bases their photography and reading on the season, or do you mix themes and books throughout the year?

I hope you will have an amazing day!
My morning started of beautiful with this amazing view! It almost looks like a painting, and I can truly say #NoFilter without lying! I drive past this view on my way to the company where I work on my thesis, it blows my mind every single time! There is a house a bit outside this picture. Those are true goals!
