They're spending the week leading up to Winterfest at the Strong Residence! I guess you can consider them family friends.

The appointment that Sam originally had scheduled the day of his accident was with his lawyer. They finally got down to his office to finalize Sam's will, which was especially important with his final wishes to pass away at home.

Their wishes don't align, but at the end of the day it's up to Sam.

Here is a mini update to the family tree. It's going to get complicated real fast.

I just realized their ship name can be Cornelia ;u;

Ok, this one he's allowed to refer to as a date.

Sam is fully awake and Corey's grandfather is finally going home! Both men have been doing better in the past few days.

Lia & Corey returned to the Old Crest for their first date! They were getting along well until the topic of family came up. ON TOP OF THAT, Lia got a call from Sam's doctors :/

While they couldn't relate like Corey or give as useful advice as Niki, her friends were great distractions from her dismay.

She was enjoying herself. Which wasn't a feeling she was used to in Brindleton Bay.

While she was still visiting Niki, Corny Corey was going through a similar situation and they related to each other. His grandfather was staying in the hospital after a nasty fall.

She would usually visit Sam during quiet hours. Not just because that's when the bakery was closed, but because there were a lot less people in the cafeteria during late hours. I didn't say none.

It honestly wasn't hard to pretend everything was alright. Baking felt natural at this point, like a form of therapy.

In certain moments however, there was no room for pretending. It sucked being alone.

How did Sam do it for so long?
