In Super Mario 64, jumping towards the alcove containing the “Get a Hand” star in Tick Tock Clock from the spinning platforms with a specific angle may result in Mario becoming trapped in a state of infinite recoiling while the camera is shaking, as seen in the footage. Since Mario cannot escape this state, and the pause menu only offers the “exit course” option if Mario is standing still, which is not the case in this scenario, the only option left to the player is to reset the console.
