Rescue in the Sky
A long time ago, since the rivers were young and the lands unnamed, when the races were still few and the world untouched by evil, the race of the Lati carried song and message between the great temples of the gods and their servants. For many ages, their deeds were worthy of many tellings and songs, for their minds were sharp, and their wings were swift. In the air, no being could outpace them. And wherever they flew, they wore armour made in the forges of Heatran, and soaring over the clouds of the heavens, they shone in the light of the sun like a day star.
But like most things from the time of old, they have now mostly passed into legend. Their ruin was one of the first tragedies of the Oath Breaking, and few remain after the world was cast into ruin and remade. No longer do the Lati travel the skies and bring tidings from the far corners of the world, and only once in many years are mortals of great fate blessed with their presence, and their songs only bring grief and the sense of memories lost.
Grim seems the fate of the Lati. Yet it was said in the last revelation of the Xatu Seers, which was told before the arrival of the Exiles of Man, that the race of the sky has been healing and waiting for the turning of the world, and that a day will come when the Great Sages return and call upon them, and the holy messengers will once more decent to the Earth, and with their aid the great pillars of evil shall be broken, and the race of Man will renew their oaths, and the world will be mended.

The thing with neurodivergent folk and rules is that if they don't understand why a rule exists they will not follow it ever
They will listen politely while being told the rule but then will immediately ignore it because they perceive it as nonsense
They won't argue either they just will not follow that rule unless it is explained fully so that they do understand why it exists
On the flip side if they do understand a rule they will be completely enraged that no one else is following the clear instructions! They follow it scrupulously and so should everyone else
There is no middle ground

Couple of nuances in this clip
I first down b, land cancelling it. Down b gets more stun as my % (aura) rises. At 75 i have just enough time to cross up with a soft pivot and down tilt. Down tilt ussually sends the opponent in front of you, but because down b sends them to the left, and they are still in early hitstun, the knockback vectors as well as the opponent's directional influence stack. This all results in link being sent upwards behind me into the platform.
Now, this trajectory is unexpected for someone who is unfamiliar to my lucario shenanigans. As such, the link doesn't tech their landing. I punish this by jablocking them with the first hit of down air. Down air also resets your vertical momentum, allowing me to quickly land, and finish the sequence with a down smash.
There's so much going on in just 3 seconds, and of course i finish it off by RCdash jumping into a nice position in case they survive the down smash. SSF2 is so underrated <3

So here goes nothing!
Rio is more of the personification of a concept than a normal individual.
They originate from the pokemon mystery dungeon universe, and, similar to The Voice Of Life, they are the embodiment of the will of all living things. Unlike the Voice Of Life however, they are the manifestation of strong emotions. Be it joy or sorrow, Rio has existed ever since the first smile, and they'll continue to exist until the last tear in the universe is shed.
Since emotions exist is all dimensions with sentient life in them, so does Rio. The problem for them is they can only visit one at a time, while still keeping fond memories of all the beings they have met across the multiverse. Not being able to help everyone because of this limitation causes Rio a great deal pain. To counteract this, Rio spends most of their time travelling across dimensions to ensure different stories have the most fulfilling outcomes for everyone involved, which, as a side effect, perpetuates Rio's existence by ensuring strong emotions continue to exist.
Rio has many special abilities, however only two are constant, the rest vary to fit the dimension they are currently in. The first of these abilities, is to read, or rather share and feel other's emotions. The second, and most important one is to curl into their tail to warp between dimensions.
Rio has a pocket dimension of endless space and nebulas that looks like drops and strokes of all colors. They can access this dimension by performing their dimension warp and from there, they can reach other dimensions.
Rio is consistently among the most powerful creatures in the corresponding universe they are currently inhabiting, however, their influence is limited by a series of factors: first, Rio knows and cares about many, many dimensions so with them only being able to affect one universe at a time, their time and influence in each universe is limited. Second, Rio holds a moral code to not intervene if possible, since their perspective is only one of many, and because they mainly seek to aid in making fulfilling stories, but the direct influence of a near god-like entity tents to make stories more one dimensional.
As such, Rather than directly changing stories, whenever Rio does show up, their influence usually takes the form of setting up those unexplained coincidences many good stories need as a foundation.
So if you ever find yourself thinking that a coincidence is awfully convinient for a story, yet the story is fulfilling as a whole, you may have Rio to thank for that.
If this gets 1 (one) note i will post unfinished rio lore

Still thinking of the concept of like
PMD protag that's taken from the human world and brought into the world of Pokémon, with their memories intact
They still have memories of their life in the human world. And they remember, they were someone who was a lonely child, growing up. Someone who, at one point, knew *all* about Pokémon, who *dreamed* of waking up in a world like this. Dreamed of it, begged, *prayed.*
And finally, they've entered the world of their dreams, finally in a body that *belongs* to them...
and they hate it.
There's just that bitterness of like... why wait until now? Why *now* and not then? They've long since abandoned their dreams, stopped believing in magic. They're fucking tired and bitter. Why take them here *now* when they're like... this? Where were you when they needed you!?
Even more—they have a life, now, and people in it who despite how fucking bitter they are, made it worth living. They're not a lonely child anymore, they're a grown adult with a life and responsibilities and people who *need* them and who *they* need in turn. They *need* to go home. They *need* to go back, they *can't* just leave their family behind.
They meet their partner, there's always a partner, and they push them away as hard as possible—they *hate* them, hate them for reasons their partner can't understand, will never understand, reasons that aren't their fault. Where were you when I needed you? They push everyone away, becomes reclusive, tries to find their way on their own. They can't, of course. They have to let them in if they want to survive, have to trust their partner if they want to make it home.
In spite of themself, as much as they don't want to, they still become attached. They let their partner in, they make friends. They acclimate, make a new life, adjust. They start to see the magic again. They're like a puzzle piece, it's like... it's like the world was missing something without them in it. Everyone is so ready to accept them. They fit so naturally into everyone's lives, it's like they were always there to begin with.
It's almost enough to make them forget.
And then it's time to go home. Calamity strikes, they go out on one last mission, just them and their partner, they complete it... and then they have to go home. They have to, there's no choice.
Home to the job they hate, to the body they despised being in. Home to their friends, their family, their *partner.* Because despite it all, they still have someone waiting for them back home. People they can't just leave behind, no matter how much it hurts. Even if it means leaving their new family behind, too... their new family, their new friends, their best friend, their partner.
They'll need to learn how to be human again. Their partner, this world, will need to learn how to live without them.
And then, they wake up, in their own body, in their own bed, tears in their eyes
and they think to themself,
what was the point
