finally, my midnight
I don't care much about NYE because I am always the last major time zone to celebrate it
by that time I've been celebrating for the Aussies and Asians, then Europe and points below, and I'm tired of it by that point 😂😂😂
and no one is ever awake for mine... in fact, in Australia it's dinnertime the following day. UK, morning of
I slept through most of it this time
but, I wish everyone, wherever you are, a happy 2025 where we all have what we need and even some we want
and may there be peace
om Shanti 🙏 pax Regni 👑

it's COR LUMMY not 'cool dummy' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
oh my stars that's funny
must have been an American what wrote these subs
there are so many misinterpretations like this throughout these
my family said that all the time as did my Mancunian friends [back in the 80s']
well. I still say it too, Lol
Tumblr media
and this one is weskit [waistcoat which is a vest like garment worn as part of a 3pc suit] NOT WHISKERS 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
oh mercy... really must figure out how to edit embedded subtitles
that one doesn't even make any sense at all, 'whiskers' are slang for moustache
Tumblr media
Right you are, my good woman
don't mind me, I am an enthusiast of historical British slang, so to me this is quite hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Great idea... I had forgotten. I used to ring one of my wee ghanta every so often just to clear the air around, and less so one of my Tibetan tiger bells but as I say, I just haven't for a fair while... had way too much on my plate
I think I shall go right ahead and ring the bells tonight :]

Happy New Year to everyone who sees this!
In the words of the Incredible String Band
“May the long time sun shine on you, all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way on.”
[Note: I’m no magician but here are two things to try as rituals or parts of rituals in order to pretend you can nudge the coming year in a positive direction. One is bells. If you have a small bell or bells ring them once or twice in the next few days in order to metaphorically drive out the bad or old and tired spirits from last year. Don’t terrify the pets but consider getting into a corner or two with the bells while you’re doing it. Pretend the bad stuff is lurking there and quietly drive it out an open door with a bright bell sound. Pretend it’s a game, driving out the bad.
The other thing is to spend time remembering excellent times from any time in your life including childhood. It can be big things or little moments, huge accomplishments or just small moments with friends laughing and talking without thinking about the big world. Include things like good moments alone in nature or moments when you helped someone or an animal and you could see things were better for them. Cool things from when you were little, happy moments this past year. A birth or a moment when you felt loved or some time or other when life felt good. Keep remembering how good things felt and relive it as long as you can before relapsing as we usually do into the sorrow that whatever it is is gone now. Feel the good feelings in your mind and body as if it’s happening now. Do as many as you can. Pretend that feeling good from those moments is drawing in more good stuff, setting a pattern for the year to come.
I can’t guarantee that any of that will make 2025 better but for a few minutes or more you may get to remember what it’s like to feel good and remember what it’s like to be you without dread. We all need that version of you, and that version of ourselves. If you do it, thank you.! You’re helping us all.]
If you don’t like any of that just ignore it. I’m fine with that.
