Alhamdullilah.. Alhamdullilah I had such a fantastic and amazing time in Indonesia with dearest lovely Ikhromi and her lovely fam.
I was made to feel so welcome. I enjoyed absolutely every second of it & desperately wish to return as soon as is possible. She and her folks are the loveliest most hospitable people I have ever met. I will not forget my time in Malang. Alhamdullilah

IERA retreat !
I think it is about time I made a post on this. Recently I went to a spiritual retreat run by IERA, with a well respected bro from my town. it was held in a small hotel in or around Milton Keynes & I cannot stress enough how much fun I had - there were bros from all over the UK and world, many are reverts, some are working for the org & came from as far a field as South America and Singapore.
The speaker/sheikh was Abdurahim Green, who up until this point I hadn’t actually listened to all that much. let’s say I was “converted” to coin a phrase, he is a brilliant speaker - we had so much fun, all the bro’s from Newcastle & Cardiff & elsewhere. One bro even said his shehadah. Another bore his testimony. It was a great time . I want to go again. It wasn’t all lectures, either.
Myself and my bro were absolutely buzzing on the drive back to Scotland I have never been so enthused and full of iman. We even spoke of involving ourselves in a local branch of the org. Subhanallah ! May Allah bless all those involved in IERA and with Dawah in general. Roll on next time !

IERA new Muslim retreat 2019
Assalamualaikum everyone!
The other Friday, myself and my good friend travelled to a new Muslim retreat in England. We were put up on a lovely little hotel. With the entire third floor kept for our activities.
there we were lucky enough to meet many fellow new & born Muslims from across the UK and world. many of them were from Cardiff and Newcastle. I must stress the time we had those few days was amazing, workshops on salah, lectures from Abdurahim Green, talks from the IERA volunteers on a range of subjects .. so much fun.
even one elder brother from Tyneside took his shehadah.
Alhamdullilah I hope to expand on this ... feel free to give feedback

Alhamdullilah
Today was super positivel.
Met the Malay sister from the restaurant. was a pleasant surprise. we were both going to Morrison’s. Then later met dad for a cuppa, after duhur. afterwords bumped into a Nigerian Christian gentleman who was really pleasant & gave me a Bible tract. met him again on the bus home later. he says half his friends are Muslim. Subhanallah. Had a falafel from Emesa, thanks to sister Areej.
Later I met Eddy for yet another cuppa. prayed maghreb, then was home in time to pray isha.
Alhamdullilah!

Another day Alhamdullilah...
Started with a trip to Spital masjid and prayed duhur, then a bayan from bro Abbas. later was in the centre of town with br Omran, manning the Dawah stall. today was busy. Many churches had their people out, as did the Independentce supporters. Alhamdullilah mostly good natured, though one of their number asserted that this is ‘Scotland’ and that there was “no Quran here” - thankfully a minority and the rest of our encounters were lovely. Thanks to Allah, the people of Aberdeen are magic.

Here is a picture (not mine) taken during the Ijtma @ Blackburn I attended with other brothers from Aberdeen over the weekend,
A good time was had by all, Alhamdullilah. Even if one could’nt hear the bayans mostly, due to poor sound system. One the way there and back, stopped off at Pollockshields to the family home of one brother and was treated to great hospitality.. duas for all involved and here’s hoping we go again next year,

Assalamualaikum everyone .. tonight I am going to try a new thing..
I shall post about my day..
Here we go, bismillah,.
My day began, (unfortunately missed fajr) when I went out with the Jamaati bros to masjid.
After duhur I was a little tired still, so slept and rested until around 4. Then I made my way to the Arts Centre for my volunteering shift.
This time, I was on with the best team, which included the Cummings, Anne S, and of course Leslie Mc. I was working with H, a young girl of about 16. Who could pass for twelve. Now, normally, young girls can make me nervous. But this one is quiet and keeps to herself, which suits me fine. No awckwardness. And plus, she can work the till. So it was great. Although unfortunately it was a mostly bar crowd. but, Alhamdullilah, before long the shift was over, so I headed to Alhikmah for maghreb salah. On the way I stopped off at Morrison’s, bumping into S, the elder Singaporean sister with the crutches.
After that, it was on to the bus and home. On the way, I met the Ghanaian bro. He often gets my bus.
Alhamdullilah for everything
