"Heard you got a room again, thought I'd bring a housewarming gift?" Ridley peeked his head in the room, holding up a plushie you could heat up and it smells like vanilla. Ridley felt a bit bad after not seeing Whisp for days now, mainly just trying to calm himself down without sort of freaking out over what had happened with Chester. It was strange how his mind just kind of pretended it never happened. "You doing ok? Not trying to coddle you- I just- New room feels strange, you know?"

Kittens." he grabbed his phone and showed Whisp a photo of the triplets curled up on his lap, Ridley's hand being a pillow for one of the triplets.

Ridley set the plushie down on the edge of the bed, looking at Whisp with a small smile. "You're... you're free though. No more having to handle his bullshit.... Some of the papers were-" Ridley paused, trying to keep himself from getting worked up, remembering how freaked out he got at the news. "Chester was trying to send you back to the pits. Forged your fingerprint. That's why I told you to stay in my room."

"Still... I didn't... I didn't know." He whispered, rubbing his arms and exhaling. "Fuck- that's Bodach's friend... Bodach is going to hate me..." He mumbled. While Ridley would do anything to protect his family, he did care if the ones he considered family hated him or not. These were the family members that gave him the love and support he needed, and he thought highly of them.

"H-how is Whisp?" Ridley asked, oeeking into Whisper's room. He was wearing clean clothes, hair damp like he took a shower. He had bags under his slightly puffy eyes, indicating he may have been crying. "Y-you're not going to tell him, are you?" He whispered.

"Come in, please... you needn't slink around here." she says in her usual soft voice. She is aptly named, after all. She leads Ridley through to the bed she usually shares with Whisp.

"He's sleeping, hasn't really said anything. But at least he doesn't seem to be having any nightmares. I've been using some very light quintessence on him just to keep his mind quiet."

"I won't breathe a word of it to him. Although, I'm not sure what to tell him if he asks me directly. He's sure to notice. Any ideas?"
