This is just hilarious.
Mildly Salty Season 6 AU:
Marinette: "What are YOU doing, showing your face here?!?"
Chloe: "The woman who gave birth to me didn't have a pilot's license, she just fired her pilot and wasn't able to find a new one. On the plus side, I survived! On the downside, the only living relative is the father who traded me away to her in order to get custody of Zoe. Speaking of, I just learned that is VERY illegal, and enough of my mother's property defaulted to me after her death for me to hire a REALLY good lawyer. In short, I own this hotel, and Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Bustier are all wanted as accessories to terrorism! Of course, after I aired all of father dear's dirty laundry, the odds of him getting reelected are now about as close to zero as one can get. Monarch's reanimated corpse would have better chance of winning."
Marinette: "... What's this about Ladybug and Chat Noir being wanted fugitives?"
Chloe: "Turns out that teaming up with a terrorist to drive an elected official out of office and appoint a dictator in his place is EXTREMELY illegal! As in, there are talks about bringing back the death penalty JUST to deal with those three levels of illegal. The feds were never able to track down Monarch because he rarely ever showed his face, but Bustier's been awaiting trial for weeks, and Ladybug and Chat Noir are VERY hard to miss!"
Marinette: "..."
Chloe: "I talked the feds down from going after the temp heroes, seeing how most of them were chosen BEFORE the whole 'Ladybug and Chat Noir teamed up with a terrorist' thing, BUT I don't think they'll be as lenient with the so-called heroes who turned on the very people they were supposed to protect. Part of the reason they demolished their statue to make room for Gabriel's memorial is because he, unlike them, never tried to overthrow the government! Not even after being Akumatized."
Marinette: *sweating*
Chloe: "Why are YOU so nervous, Dupain-Cheng! It's not like you're the despised traitor who sold out her nation's capital city over a petty grudge!"
Little salty with the death stuff HOWEVER
Yeah like????
Tbh, even if you want to argue that running the mayor out of office was a /good/ decision, the fact that LB and CN were willing to team up with the local supervillain terrorist because they think the mayor's daughter is kind of a bitch says a LOT about their potential morality and I would be terrified of having them out there in power even if they're typically helpful.

Honestly the curiosity is killing me, can they pull this shit of, will these heroes be background characters or will the writers putt some backbone into giving them a personality? I’m joking, I’m joking, they’ll probably just be background characters that get lucky if they even get a single episode to shine.
But hay who knows, maybe they’ll tell Tomas to step back and take over the dumpster fire. But that’s probably not happening, the rotting cash cow still spewing out money.

It isn’t getting sent to New York that’s the problem, it’s getting sent to New York with her mother. A person who weather Thomas likes it or not is abusive. It’s not that’s she’s getting punished that is the issue, this kid needs discipline, she has mayor issues. However sending her away with her mother will not help her or discipline her in a correct way. She might lash out even further or just shut down. No one should experience abuse in any way no matter what they have done, especially at her age. Andre should do what he always should have done but didn’t, take responsibility and accept that HE raised a terrible person and work to correct that. The girl I like what 14-16, there is still time to help her behavior get better,
Something that perplexes me is the fact that people say that Chloe getting sent to New York with her mom is too much.
But like, she got out in front of the entire city to be willingly working with monarch. Someone who at that point is considered to be a magical terrorist.
Getting booted from Paris is honestly kids gloves to what she could’ve gotten.

Andre feels like a child, he had a toy but he broke it so he threw it out when he got a new not broken one, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised that when push comes to shove, he would abandon her as well. Use her as an scapegoat. I mean he was a political figure he could probably figure out how to do it, and this show’s Paris has to have the dumbest population I have ever seen come out of an show. I mean it would be a far nicer twist then anything else. He was a corrupt politician, it would make more sense then Zoe’s introduction. (Side note all we would need would be Andre being slightly upset that Audrey cheated on him, like a passing line of dialogue, but no not even that.)
Why Andre is a horrible father and badly written character - Season 5 Spoilers ahead
You might know Andre Bourgeois as the corrupt mayor of Paris or Chloe’s spineless father who can’t stand up to her. He never bothered me too much in S1-4 but Season 5 - his character felt ruined. This post will explain why Andre is an awful father and badly written character.
Part 1 - His relationship with Chloe
Despite not being an evil character - he is still a rubbish father. First thing he does is adopt Zoe and seemingly disown Chloe in Collusion judging by the deleted section of the leaked script.
He knows Audrey is a terrible mother but still lets her take Chloe nonetheless - hoping they’ll have fun. Andre also favors Zoe and wants to keep her by how he willingly adopts her and when he allows Audrey to take Chloe to NYC despite knowing she will abuse her . Hell he even says " I like her best". This disgusts me because Andre is willing to play favorites and only wants to love and take care of Zoe - who in his eyes is the easier daughter to raise.
This is proven in Revolution when he seemingly takes Chloe away angrily and leaves her with Audrey - judging by the plane scene. This angers me because Andre seemingly abandons his daughter and doesn’t take any responsibility for what happened. Chloe isn’t 100% to blame for how she turned out . Andre should take ownership of how Chloe acted and should’ve tried to discipline her . If he was a Good father he would’ve sent Chloe to Juvie or to live with a strict , non-wealthy relative and financially cut her off. I’m not saying Chloe is innocent - she had a choice to become mayor and should definitely be punished - but sending her with Audrey will make the situation worse. I'm not against him adopting Zoe but the fact he didn't take any responsibility for Chloe's behaviour and tosses her aside proves that he only cares about Zoe not Chloe. Therefore he is a horrid father because he pretty much abandoned Chloe knowing her mum will mistreat her but doesn’t feel guilty because he replaced her with Zoe - the better daughter. No wonder Chloe is the way she is.
Part 2 - badly written
Andre - as well as being an awful dad , is also a badly written character. The writers portray him as an amazing father by how he saved Zoe from Audreys wrath by adopting her and how he put his foot down in revolution when taking Chloe away. However - he is terribly written because the writers want to show him as a good father but write him to be a coward. He is a bad father by how he replaces Chloe with Zoe because she is the better behaved daughter. He adopts Zoe and takes responsibility for her because she is the easier daughter to raise and Andre wants to feel like he is a good person. He never took responsibility for Chloe and seemingly blames Chloe and Audrey for what happened. The writers present him as a hero and honorable father when in reality - he is a spineless, pathetic man for not raising Chloe properly and abandoning her.
What makes him even more despicable is that he knew Gabriel and Tomoe used his daughter as a puppet and manipulated her - but he never called them out.
He let his daughter be presented as a scapegoat and received all the blame when he knew Gabriel was the real villain behind the robots. Well to play devil's advocate , lot's of the shows characters are dumb , but that still isn't an excuse. I'm not suprised he wasn't able to piece two and two together. He never was a Good father to Chloe and was too pathetic to take some of the blame for what she did. His character honestly is worse than Audrey because the writers at least write her decently. She is written to be horrible and is presented as horrible. Andre is the better person while Audrey is the better Character. However Andre is written to be a benevolent person when in reality he is a mouse and a disgusting person.
If you love Chloe or you hate her - you cannot deny that it isn’t entirely her fault on why she turned out to be such a spoiled brat. Andre is just as to blame as Audrey on why Chloe is a bad person. He never disciplined her , seemingly replaces Chloe with Zoe because she is his favorite, didn’t take responsibility for what Chloe did , leaves her with Audrey ( who he’ll know will abuse Chloe) and lets his daughter be slandered by Paris for the fiasco when he knew Gabriel and Tomoe were behind all of that. But what makes him the most terrible character is that he is obviously an irresponsible father but the writers present him as a loving one who is innocent and has done nothing wrong. Chloe is no angel , but she isn’t pure evil . She wasn’t born bratty , someone raised her to be like that . I wished the fandom recognised how atrocious Andre is as a father and I find it disgusting how the writers think he is a good person . But these are just my opinions. However if you like what they did with his character , that is perfectly fine . I’m not saying you are not allowed to like Andre. Please stay respectful.

Honestly I hope he never has children. A lot of the tweets he made were made somewhere around season 3 and if what she did then is enough to warrant being called an irredeemable monster then his kids would be in for hell. Most kids do become what is essentially assholes during middle school it’s a mix of growing up and how the kids around them act.
Some of his tweets almost make me worried for how his childhood was, does he think it isn’t abuse because his parents treated him like that and he just sees it as normal?
Or maybe the rumors that Chloe was based on someone was true and he can’t separate the character from the inspiration and years later he’s still so angry that he can’t even get the thought in his head that his bully might have been able to change or might even have changed as they grew up. But hat I might be wrong he might just have hatred of a bunch of wasps whose hive was just knocked down towards a fictional 15 year old that he made.
Thomas Astruc saying that Chloes mother wasn’t abusive towards her, and that Chloe was incapable of caring about anyone but herself, clearly forget or just never actually watched part one of Style Queen, I’m rewatching now and THIS is MY Chloe

So continuing with Lady noir.
(Who totally wasn’t annoying to find actual non fan renders of)
I will admit that this is one of her better outfits, the outfit is actually slightly better then chat noir. The green highlights are great, the hair color also changes to pure black instead of blue-black and she got a new hairstyle. The braid is great for hiding her identity and using it as an tail is quite creative. The simplicity of her ladybug outfit is carried over but the artists made sure it wasn’t boring or redundant. Didn’t realize until later, but the green stripes on her limbs look like gloves and boots, I like the creativity in this. Overall a simple, but well thought out design.
If you think that this is overly positive then wait, we’re getting into the horse combos and oh god, I’m just saving the worst for last.
(Wish that lady noir didn’t act like such a a*s in her depute episode)
Bye

Well said
Hey everyone, I wrote a ‘thing’… 😍
There was a hack writer called Thomas.
Who stole Chloe’s redemption arc from us.
Replaced her with a Mary Sue.
Removed her from the show too.
Miraculous isn’t ‘simply the best’, it’s the dumbest! 🤪

It’s honestly kinda funny, the show basically took away everything from everyone in order to help this disaster of a romance plot lift of the ground, but one wing isn’t working at all (Adrien) and the other is so big that it would crash (Mari) so now Astuc is desperately holding it over his head pretending that it’s flying. But as soon as he lets go, the writing will fail and it will crash. Its like everyone forgot the basics of writing, Plot, Characters and Setting. Character is part of the basics, if the plot is very dependent on characters, like romance, the plot will fail to. If you’ve been following this show and need the conclusion then do yourself a favor and find a good fanfic with closure and pretend that it’s the actual ending. Don’t worry with how low this show put the bar, someone would have to actively stride to make something worse.
Based on what I’ve seen and read, it would appear as though...
…Adrien is the SECOND most underused and underappreciated character in the show (after Chloe, of course).
How could someone, with SO much going for them in terms of relevance to the plot (his dad is the main baddie, him being the main love interest and co-superhero, his NAME being in the title for God sake) be so wilfully ignored?
Let’s just say, Fu’s words about Ladybug and Chat being ‘equals’ sounds awfully hollow when presented with the actual evidence in canon.
From what I understand, he even spent the big S5 finale locked up with Kagami ROBBING VIEWERS OF SEEING HIM CONFRONT HIS FATHER AND DISCOVERING THE TRUTH.
Inexcusable from a storytelling POV IMHO, but so is having your only apparent agency in the show being Marinette’s arm candy and messing up a LOT during superhero duty so Ladybug can look good by comparison.
What are his other interests, besides trying to make her happy in and out of costume? What are his other personality traits, apart from being a pliable doormat to her every whim? None, as far as I see.
‘Girl Power’ isn’t intentionally writing male characters to be subservient to their female counterparts, it’s about making them EQUAL in terms of importance & relevance. In as far as what I’ve learned about Adrien on the show of late, it looks like they failed miserably on both those counts.
Bring this up with Astruc, and naturally he’ll accuse you of being a ‘sexist’ or worst a ‘misogynist’ (talk about the pot calling the kettle black) and say something along the lines of ‘you just don’t want a GIRL in charge’.
Well considering about 99.9% of the people who bring this up with him ARE female, I fear he may have got his wires crossed on this one. EVERYONE wants a more equal partnership between the two title characters, and suggesting if you do you’re some kind of bigoted chauvinist is gaslighting of the highest order.
(Mind you, this coming from a guy who recently said Ladybug was Barbie and Chat Noir was KEN, so we can’t expect too much from him)
I must say, being an absolute Chloe stan (as if you didn’t know) I was a bit out of my comfort zone during this short rant, but I think it ties in nicely with my problems with the show’s formulaic and contradictory writing in general, so I thought I’d give it a go anyway. Hope I did okay!
(Don’t get me started on that ‘Marinette must learn a lesson in every episode’ bullshit, either)
Agree? Disagree? Feel free to get in touch. Oh, and one more bonus meme to add to the collection…
…Hopefully, you’re beginning to see my point. :p

I’m gonna say it and it’s true, fanfics did so much more for Zoe then the show ever did. I despise the Zoe from the show, but fanfics, I can often get behind that girl. It’s just so nice to se her have a relationship with her sister, acting like an actual person, having a personality and so much more. Seriously if you’re interested in the show but hate where is both went and is going, how handles it’s characters, how it handles the concepts the show is built upon or even or even if you find the whole superhero/romance falls on its head. I would personally recommend Ao3 (Archive of our own) but wattpad is also a good pick, while Ao3 can be browsed without an account, I would still recommend getting one so you can save stories you like, just remember it takes a bit of time for it to be verified. Have fun discovering something way better and more fleshed out than the show.

Because I hate this show’s lackluster season finale and because I hate Zoe, I’m going to complain about her outfit. Now I might be a bit biased towards this outfit considering that I recently reviewed the crime that is Kitty noir. In comparison Vesperia, stupid as she is looks decent.
Might as well start of with the positives, don’t worry this list isn’t to long,
This does hide her identity rather well, a hair style change goes a long way.
Her shoes stand out from the others in an interesting way.
Those who made this stupid outfit had way better ideas concerning colors then Kittys designers did. There are just two main colors do match the colors of a yellow jacket, (the species that she was most likely based on)
Hair antennae are an interesting choice, doesn’t work however as she now hat four antennae.
Notice how short that list is, and two of those are just an interesting and unique choice. Considering that this is the replacement to queen bee, a really well thought out outfit and one of the best in my opinion. I will get more into Chloe later but for now this is the list of stupid things in this outfit, I will rank them from least annoying to worst thing in this show.
The mask looks stupid, they tried to use the top of the mask as a way to show emotions like how we use eyebrows in animation. But it looks stupid, the mask bends down to, I assume look like a V, but just no it looks dumb, her outfit already has enough V’s on it you don’t need more in dumb places.
What is up with her bangs, I get that they’re supposed to look like antennae but they just look like they came straight out of an anime and it clashes with the rest of her outfit as it has more of a motor head aesthetic, also the miraculous already has two antennae sticking out of it, you don’t need more.
The clear favoritism in her transformation secureness, compare her to Mylene who literally stands still for half of her transformation, I have seen fan animations who have more movement in their transformation
She literally just stand still here,
Compare this to vesperia
The entire sequences has this amount of detail and movement, it’s clear favoritism towards their “best bee ever”. Her transformation also shows a lot more creativity then any other hero or villain, more then the main characters. One of the worst characters on the show has one of the best transformations. How stupid is that.
4. Her outfit is nowhere near as though out as Queen bee
Look at her. It’s an outfit that both clearly shows who she is and has a really well thought out composition. I need a list for all that this does well, but this is already getting long enough so here’s a summary. She properly looks like a bee, black limbs and a yellow torso, she is designed to move your eyes, her stripes move your eyes downward to look at her legs and then upwards again to her completely, this is accomplished with the stripes getting smaller, also an adorable detail, her fingers look like she’s gathering pollen.
This is a great outfit compare this to vesperia
She barely even resembles a wasp (I will get back to that), yellow limbs and a black torso, it’s like doing the opposite approach. The black fingers add nothing as it doesn’t represent anything and does a poor job a balancing. Her pattern is now on everywhere her legs, also those are not insect stripes, those are tiger stripes at best. Her outfit doesn’t guide your eyes anywhere, I didn’t expect the copy to be better but it shouldn’t be this bad, you already made a bee before, learn from that, take note what people like and don’t, but hey what do you expect from a one dimensional replacement that was only added in because light gray was far to nuanced, yes I’m talking about Chloe when I say gray… I miss season two.
5. Thai isn’t a god dammed bee, it’s a wasp. The BEE miraculous made a wasp. You don’t see the mouse turning into a hamster, that’s because they’re different species, I can excuse hawkmoth because moths and butterflies are I the same family and he’s the villain. But this is stupid.
With all this said, what does vesperia have going for her. I haven’t even dissected her personality and I already have a huge rant about her and as some may have noticed I took apart and complained about everything in this outfit. Compare the good things to the bad. There are 4 good things, two of witch are basically the same thing and one witch I complained about. The favoritism towards her is also staggering.
Final note, about Chloe and her. If I was Chloe I would be pissed. A few episodes ago a hero whose identity had been revealed had gotten right back into action and now there is someone with the miraculous she used to use, stating how much better she is then her and ladybug does nothing as this wasp just stand around and gloats. The episode doesn’t seem to show vesperia explaining the situation to Chloe, so for all she knows someone who is far more self-centered then her is still given access to the bee. It’s honestly kinda sad if you think about it that way.

Why did we need another season, I know it’s disappointing but please. We have like twenty heroes all at the same time. This should have been the end. Hawkmoth is dead, mayura is fine everyone is happy. All arks are basically finished. The yes Lilla would have been slightly disappointing but it would be better then dragging this further then it needed to. But no because greed I guess.
I am honestly worried that Chloe is coming back. Right now I can pretend that she was sent of to a boarding school like Zoe was and found people who care for her. What Andre did is so disgusting, he knew is was abusive and he did it anyway because “you can be terrible together”. Don’t get me wrong Chloe is a bad person and deserves punishment, but not this. Punishment is taking away her wealth, grounding her, or anything else a loving and/or sane parent does. This is not a good solution and even if Chloe becomes a better person she should not go back to Andre, this girl would do better in foster care. Saying that a child would do better in foster care is the worst statement to someone’s parenting. But Chloe is a child and foster care could allow her to see the type of family she needs.
I don’t want the terrible messages to continue on, enough damage has already been done to kids. From making stalking a sane thing to do. I am tired of the double standards, Marinette is excused by her trauma but Chloe isn’t? I am tired of this shows treatment of Adrien. He was a main character, not anymore, he wasn’t even relevant enough to be in the final fight. This isn’t “feminism” or “girl power” it’s just bad writing. And I am tired of people saying it isn’t. Feminism is about empowering women, not putting men down.
I’m tagging this as a spoiler as I don’t completely know the rules and it’s better safe then sorry.

Personally if Chloe gets back into the show and they decide not to avoid the abuse situation, then I want those ramifications to be felt, HARD. They brushed of Gabriel’s abuse. I want them to outright bash Andre for what he did, I want hi I want him in front of everyone to be at least confronted by Chloe. I want this show to not brush of what Chloe probably is going to go through. This is a perfect chance for a good message, and I hope they don’t ruin it like all other things they do.
Chloé in the future
I want your honest opinions on this people. In what state do you think she'll be if she comes back? A total wreck? Even worse than before due to Audrey cracking down on her back? Finally realising how horrible she was, how her mom was, and how better she had it before which makes her realise stuff and she decided to work on herself to improve and finally become nice and try to make amends and gets her redemption arc? Will she have changed at all (given the show now it could also be possible) Or something else? Discuss.

How is this any better, it’s basically reality, but worse, normally abused kids at least stay in a familiar place and children of terrorists are usually informed of their parents wrongdoings
After seeing (or rather, reading about) the Miraculous finale…
Somehow the current version of France seems preferable to Thomas’s ‘utopia’ where…
Abused kids are forced to live with their abusers and get forcibly deported as ‘punishment’…
Murderous villains get ‘rewarded’ with statues and glowing eulogies…
Sons of terrorists never find about about their father’s numerous crimes and instead remember them as ‘heroes’…
Corrupt mayors can get away with a lifetime of wrongdoing and awful parenting to start new careers as directors and adopt kids as they please (even if they have fathers already)…
…Whereas new mayors don’t have to have any political experience whatever, instead being bad teachers who had no discipline in their class and let bullies and liars get away with literally everything for years.
So in conclusion, if THIS is his idea of heaven, you can keep your wish. I am quite happy with what we’ve got now. 😶

They didn’t change it if the poster hat anything to say
They brought two people who so far have been nothing but background extras once, but didn’t bring in chat noir.
idk how possible it is production-wise but if they've caught on to the criticisms from the people who've seen the leaks, then I'm worried they're gonna change the finale somehow and it won't be the ending that the people who've seen the leaks are rightfully angry about
They're far enough into production to have animatics. They can delete scenes, sure, but the problem with the finale started with Adrien not being there. Then there's Marinette giving Gabriel a chance. And the entire epilogue post Monarch "defeat"... that's a lot to change. Way more than kwami's choice changes from the OG scripts, but who knows how long have they changed it when the only proof it has changed were the scripts written who knows how long ago? How much can the rectify with this timeframe? And even then, there's gonna be lingering proof of how this episode was editted like with kwami's choice and collusion, like the awkward way certain details are left intact that would've made more sense in the OG script leaks.
Edit: after thinking about it for a bit, there's still dialogue they can change to recontextualize some things. Present the epilogue as a cosmic horror or something. Add a scene where they're like, Gabriel may be dead but the fight ain't over, or a scene where Marinette despairs about how she has to lie about Monarch until she can find a way to resolve this. That way, Gabriel isn't presented as in the right. But that's a whole can of worms.... will they open that?

This just shows how sidelined Catnoir is. Doesn’t even get the grace to show up on the poster despite being, ya… know a main character, no matter how much Tomas would disagree. It’s “Miraculous tales of ladybug and catnoir” not “Miraculous tales of Ladybug, ladydragon, eagle and bunnyx”. (Also yes I had to look up Eagle and Ladydragons names because they never show up)
Ssoooo, that Miraculous finale poster then…
Why are Ladybug, Bunnix and a pair of forgettable spin-off losers fighting against Gabriel, his humongous neck mole and three members of the CDA from Monsters Inc? ‘Interesting’ way to hype your season closer, I’ll grant them that…

I was so wrong, yes they removed the scene but Chloe still got kicked to the curb. At this point I hope that we don’t see her again, that way I can pretend that CPS got involved slightly after they got there and Chloe ended up with a loving family.
You know the scene in the leaks where Andre gives up custody of his daughter to what is basically her abuser. I think that the only reason that that scene didn’t happen in the show is because the script was leaked. They received massive backlash over it. If the script wasn’t leaked they wouldn’t have gotten the backlash before it became canon and so would’ve made it canon. And Considering who the writers of miraculous are, they definitely changed it to save face.
At least actual kids weren’t subjected to that. The message becomes (unintentionally or not) that a parent can abandon you because you did something wrong. So one silver lining, I would recommend not holding on to the hope of more.

This could count as a spoiler so I’m going to add the photo further down, but just so you know it’s a rant about Zoe’s awful superhero design.
This is so ugly. Just look at her. The outfit fails on so many levels and as an artist I will point all of them out.
It has far to many colors to work with. It has yellow, orange, several different shades of green and purple.
Her name is Kitty NOIR, noir (or noire) is the literal French word for black. She isn’t black, she’s purple.
All other colors then the purple are really in your face and the neon is not helping. The colors just really class. Like they made green clash with green.
This outfit shows a clear lack of understanding in color theory. Her lipstick for example is too close to her skin color so it just looks weird.
She stands out like a sore thumb. She has os much detail on her outfit. If you look at any other hero it’s just basic spandex, it has no texture and it doesn’t wrinkle when the move. She has that. It feels a bit like favoritism, it is so detailed compared to others.
What is with her eyes, she either hasn’t sleepy in a week or she’s about to drop dead from boredom. She looks like like a student right after an entire week with nothing but test sitting in her final lesson of the week studying in a three hour English class with an extra in depth examination of the war of the roses.
And while we’re analyzing the eyes why are they yellow and orange, it isn’t anywhere else in the outfit, you’ve already embraced ugliness this far at least be consistent with it.
Also why is her damned ahoge like that, her hair was already ugly enough as it was.
Find any redeeming qualities of this that I couldn’t argue against and I would be surprised.
