Your original Nature is just to be present in your moment-by-moment existence. Here there is emptiness, joy, and peace. Most of us spend most of our time only semi-present at best; running largely on autopilot on the outside while we are absorbed in our mind chatter on the inside.
However, to differentiate between perfect and complete empty presence, and lost-in-thought absorption, is itself a delusion! One state is not Buddha Nature while the other is ignorance. With false understanding both are delusion, with true understanding both are Dharma.
