Running = therapy
Finally Gettting back to basics. the past along with other hurdles life has placed in my path has made pizza with extra cheese, loss of sleep and other reckless indulging seem ok. After what seemed like a few weeks of my new “fuck it” way of life, I realized living like this was defeat disguised ever so cleverly and I accepted it. “Fuck it” wasn’t just a saying anymore, it was manifesting into a physical appearance.
All this while Drowning out memories with chemicals and people who provided the temporary amnesia I began to crave. With such easy access I Didnt stand a chance, it all felt like it was only for moment until I stood in front of that mirror and saw the damage. How long have I been doing this shit?!
The time for change was now! I grabbed those cross training running shoes I bought months ago out of the closet and hit the pavement like a beast. I had a Whole new routine for running with a new state of mind to match. I educated myself on what are the do’s and dont’s with what to consume based on what your goals are. Food became much greener, fruits have a set place in my fridge and my daily intake of water is consumed religiously. I Still got alot to learn. Naturally Over time I began to feel alot better, still no where near my goal but its gonna take time to gain back what was forgotten. And even then I won’t be done, true victory comes on a regular basis, fighting temptations & not becoming a lesser version of yourself doesn’t end.
