In the beginning.... jeans!
Jeans have been around for a long time. In the mid-1500s, the word "genes" was used to define the twill trousers that sailors from Genoa (in Italy) wore. The people who wove in Nimes, France, tried to make this fabric.
This fabric was known as a twill weave because it was made with a single colour of indigo thread and a single white thread. The word "denim" comes from the French phrase "Serge de Nimes".
Denim jeans' brand names
In the mid-1800s, Levi Strauss opened a store in San Francisco. A tailor named Jacob W. Davis, who made things like tents, horse blankets, and waggon covers, asked Strauss to work with him to work with him and sell clothes that were strengthened with rivets. Strauss had found a way to make the fabric items last longer by putting metal rivets in them.
They started working together.... workers liked the new look of jeans. Strauss and Davis first made jeans out of brown duck and blue denim. When the denim 501 style came out in 1890, it opened the door for a more modern version.
Many changes were made, like when belt loops came out in 1922 and the button fly was replaced by a zip.
Nowadays, jeans are made by thousands of companies worldwide; Hugo Boss jeans, Freddy Jeans and Handpicked Jeans, to name a few.
How to wear jeans with tapered legs
The fit of jeans with tapered legs is meant to make the legs look longer by getting tighter at the bottom. The top usually has a regular fit, which makes it easy to wear, and its shape gets narrower from the thigh to the ankle for a stylish look. They go well with any of your favourite boots (we personally suggest Lacuzzo shoes).
How traditional jeans with a straight cut should fit
So let's start with the Classic Straight Cut, which is also known as the Regular cut. This is the average person in jean's world. The Classic Straight Fit has a straight cut through the hips, thighs, and calves, which is what the name suggests. This style looks good on everyone.

How do you find out what customers really think? A few days after a shopping trip, through an online survey? Getting a callback? Or is it a real-time survey of customers as they leave the shop?

You don't need to look for these people online because they are already in your shop on the day you need their help.
The goal of the customer survey might be to get feedback from a wide range of people who come into the shop. You could also ask people who belong to a certain group what they think.
Local and national retailers need a market research agency to help them get the most accurate information so they can make tough business decisions.
When advanced statistical methods, like behavioural economics, are added to market research, the level goes up even more. The right market research company will be able to use these methods to find out what people are thinking about when they are buying.
